Introduction
The AC 4224 Digital Electronic Thermometer is designed to provide accurate

This thermometer is an advanced electronic tool. It has the advantages of
low battery consumption, hight stability and easy use. It has a long stainless
probe so that you can use it to measure the temperature of an object which
other thermometers are not suitable to measure. For example you can use it to
measure oil temperature in engine but also the diet under cooking, the cereal
in storage, the wine, the water, room temperature…
It can automatically record the maximum and minimum temperature readings.

Instructions

ON/OFF key
It can be used to turn on/off the thermometer. -
C°/F° key
In temperature measuring mode, it can be used to change the reading in C° or F°.
In alarm setting mode, it can be used to increase the alarm temperature. -
MAX/MIN key
In temperature measuring mode, it can be used to display the maximum or minimum temperatue recorded.
In alarm setting mode, it can be used to decrease the alarm temperature. -
HOLD/ALARM key
In temperature measuring mode, it can be used to hold the reading on the display or set the thermometer to alarm setting mode. -
RESET
It can be used to reset the thermometer, and all the setting and recorded data will be erased together.
INSTRUCTIONS

Turning on the thermometer
Press «ON/OFF» key to turn on the thermometer, the display will light up for about 2 seconds, then the thermometer enters the temperature measuring mode and shows the temperature of the sensor. -
Measuring the temperature
Make sure that the thermometer is in temperature measuring mode, use a hand to slide the handle out from the thermometer, hold the handle, touch the sensor to the object to be measured.
Wait a while and then read the display. -
Turning off the thermometer
In temperature measuring mode, press «ON/OFF» key to turn off the thermometer, all the settings and recorded data will be erased together. -
Changing the reading in °C and °F
After you turn on the thermometer, the default temperature unit is °C. In temperature measuring mode, press «°C/°F» key to change the reading in °C and °F. -
Displaying the max. or min. temperature
In temperature measuring mode, press «MAX/MIN» key, the display shows «MIN», meanwhile the display shows the minimum temperature recorded. Press «MAX/MIN» key again, «MAX» appears and the display shows the maximum temperature recorded. Press «MAX/MIN» key again, the thermometer will return to temperature measuring mode. In the «MIN» or «MAX» mode, the thermometer will return to the temperature measuring mode if you don’t operate it for about 10 seconds.
Note : after you press «RESET» key or turn off the thermometer, all the settings and the recorded data will be erased. The thermometer will record new data if it is on. -
Auto power off
- After you turn on the thermometer, the display shows «APO», it means that the auto power off function is on. If you don’t operate any key for about 8 minutes, the thermometer will beep and turn off automatically.
- To disable APO function, press «ON/OFF» key to turn on the thermometer whileperssing and holding «°C/°F» key.

Holding the reading on the display
In temperature measuring mode, press «HOLD/ALARM» key, the reading will be held on the display and «HOLD» appears as an indicator.
Press «HOLD/ALARM» key again, «HOLD» disappears and the thermometer exits data hold mode. -
Alarm setting

In temperature measuring mode, press and hold «HOLD/ALARM» key for more than 2 seconds, the thermometer enters alarm setting mode, and «ALM» appears as an indicator.
To exit alarm setting mode, press and hold «HOLD/ALARM» key for more than 2 seconds again, «ALM» disappears and the thermometer returns to temperature measuring mode. -
in alarm setting mode, press «MAX/MIN» key to decrease the alarm temperature, keep pressing for fast adjustment. To increase the alarm temperature, press «°C/°F» key. The max. available alarm temperature is 301°C, the minimum is -51°C, the default alarm temperature is 300°C.
In temperature measuring mode, when the temperature is higher than (or equal to) the alarm temperature which has been set beforehand, the display will show «HI» and the thermometer will beep once every two seconds.

Resetting the thermometer
If the thermometer operates abnormally, you can press «RESET» key to solve this problem. After you press «RESET» key, all the settings and the recorded data will be erased together, the thermometer will record new min. and max. temperature readings.
NOTE
- After the thermometer turns off automatically, it still consumes a little power (0.1-1 µA). If you don’t use it for a long time, please remove the battteries.
- After the thermometer turns off (automatically or manually), all the settings and the recorded data will be erased together.
- When the sensor is in liquid for measurement its depth should be between 1 0mm-40mm. The probe is waterproof, the other parts of the thermometer is not waterproof.
- When the reading begins to be fuzzy, you should replace the batteries immediately, otherwise the measurement will not be accurate.
- Before use, verify its operation by measuring a known temperature such as the room temperature.
- Keep the probe clean. When using the thermometer, don’t touch the probe (or the sensor) with hand or skin.
- Because of the sharp tip of the probe, keep the thermometer out of infant’s (or children’s) reach for safety.
- Read the instructions carefully.

MAINTENANCE
Battery replacement
When the reading begins to be fuzzy, you should replace the batteries
immediately. Press and slide out the battery cover, replace the exhausted
batteries with two new batteries of the same type according to the indication
in the battery compartment. Rejoin the battery cover.
Disposal
If you at some point intend to dispose of this article, then please keep in
mind that many of its components consist of valuable materials, which can be
recycled. Please do not discharge it in the garbage bin, but check with your
local council for recycling facilities in your area. Before returning this
product for any reason (installation problem, instructions for use, breakdown,
manufacturing problem…), please contact us.
