Unpacking Instructions
Carefully unpack the product immediately and check the container to make sure
all the parts are in the package and are in good condition.
Claims
If the box or the contents (the product and included accessories) appear
damaged from shipping, or show signs of mishandling, notify the carrier
immediately, not Chauvet. Failure to report damage to the carrier immediately
may invalidate a claim. In addition, keep the box and contents for inspection.
For other issues, such as missing components or parts, damage not related to
shipping, or concealed damage, file a claim with Chauvet within 7 days of
delivery.

Safety Notes
These Safety Notes include important information about installation, use, and
maintenance of the D-Fi USB 2 and D-Fi USB 2×4..
ALWAYS: Connect to operating voltages as specified on the product’s spec
sticker. Disconnect from its power source during periods of inactivity. Heed
all restrictions and warnings on the spec sticker.
In the event of a serious operating problem, stop using immediately. DO NOT:
Open this product or attempt any repairs. It contains no user-serviceable
parts. Allow flammable materials close to the product when it is operating.
Connect to a dimmer or rheostat. Operate in temperatures higher than 104°F
(40°C). Expose to environments that exceed the Ingress Protection (IP) rating.
Expose to rain or moisture. Use outdoors. Submerge. Leave outdoors for
extended periods of time. Expose to corrosive environmental conditions such as
temperature, humidity, salinity,
pressure, radiation, or shock. Set this product on a flammable surface.

Operation
3. Operation
The D-Fi USB 2 and D-Fi USB 2×4 enables wireless communication between two or
more products with a D-Fi USB Port. One product acts as a transmitter while
others act as receivers, eliminating the need for DMX cables while
transferring DMX/ILS commands and master/slave signals between similar
fixtures. For further information on connecting and configuring a product for
D-Fi USB operation, refer to the product’s User Manual. To set the D-Fi
channel on the D-Fi USB 2 and D-Fi USB 2×4:
1. Set the DMX personality and DMX address to match on the desired fixtures.
2. Press and hold the
receiver.
· The signal indicator on the D-Fi USB 2 shows green when set as transmitter
and red when set as receiver.
· The signal indicator will blink slowly when waiting for signal and blink
rapidly once connected to the fixture.
3. Once one product is set to transmit and at least one is set to receive,

The channels on both/all of the D-Fi USB 2 products must match to ensure
connectivity.
4. Select a program on the transmitting fixture to command all of the linked
fixtures. · Once plugged in the D-Fi USB 2 will have priority over other · The
priority levels are 1. D-Fi USB, 2. Wired DMX, 3. IRC-6 Remote Control, and 4.
Manual digital display/menu buttons.
