Product Usage Instructions

General Care Instructions:

  1. In most cases, dirt, debris, spills, and pet hair can be removed by wiping with a damp cloth.
  2. Seat covers can be removed and machine washed on a low-temperature setting using mild detergent. Straps should be coiled and secured with rubber bands for machine washing and drying.
  3. Soil may be removed with spray cleaner or detergent and water.
  4. Oil or grease stains should first be treated with a dry cleaning solvent followed by a spray cleaner or detergent and water.
  5. Do not use bleach.

Important: Airbag Compatibility
Your seat has seat side airbags. Ensure that the tearaway flap stitched with white thread and the orange TigerTough tag are facing the door to allow the airbag to deploy. TigerTough is not responsible for any issues resulting from incorrectly installed seat covers.

Installation Instructions:

Preparation

  1. Slide the seat forward and raise it to the highest position, if possible.
  2. Depending on your Make/Model, follow the headrest removal instructions for either Button Style or Pinhole Style

Install Seat Bottom Cover:

  1. Put cover over seat bottom.
  2. Tuck cover behind plastic trim around the seat, ensuring seams align with seat seams.
  3. Tuck the outside string between seat bottom and trim; inside string goes under the seat bottom in front of the rear seat mount.
  4. Push the top flap between the seat back and seat bottom, pulling tight to line up the cover with the seat bottom.
  5. Pull strings tight and secure with StringLock (refer to next page for StringLock instructions).
  6. Run front flaps over all seat adjustment levers, wires, and brackets; pull tight and fasten to Velcro on the top flap.

  • Your new seat covers are covered by a two-year, unconditional, no B.S. warranty.
  • That means that if you manage to abuse them to a point that they can’t perform like they’re supposed to within two years of when you bought them, we’ll make it right.
  • Depending on what is more practical, we’ll ei-ther repair or replace the damaged cover.

  3. Soil may be removed with spray cleaner or detergent and water.
  4. Oil or grease stains should first be treated with a dry cleaning solvent followed by a spray cleaner or detergent and water.
  5. Do not use bleach.

IMPORTANT : AIRBAG COMPATABILITY YOUR SEAT HAS SEAT SIDE AIRBAGS. For maximum safety in the event of a crash, these airbags MUST NOT be restricted.

Your cover has been engineered with a tearaway flap (stitched with white thread) that will allow the airbag to deploy. Ensure that this flap & the orange TigerTough tag are facing the door. TigerTough is not responsable for any issues resulting from incorrectly installed seat covers.

Preparation

Slide seat forward and raise to highest position, if possible.
Over the years Chevrolet and GMC have used  2 different headrest removal styles, depending on your Make/Model it could be either one.

Button Style

  • Lift headrest up.
  • Press both buttons at the base of the headrest and pull the headrest up out of the seat back

Pinhole Style

  • Lift headrest up
  • Insert a straighted paperclip into the pinhole at the base of the headrest closest to the door.
  • While holding the paperclip in the base of the headrest press the button on the other base and pull the headrest up out of the seat back.

Install Seat Back Cover

  • Unhook both elastic straps from under the seat bottom to release the seat back flap.
  • Lean seat back forward.
  • Turn seat back cover 3/4 of the way inside out and pull over seat back.
  • Line holes in cover up with headrest holes and work holes around plastic trim.
  • Continue pulling the cover down over the seat, unrolling it as you go.
  • Push factory seat back flap into space between seat back and seat bottom.
  • Push front flap between seat back and seat bottom.
  • Pull front flap as tight as possible and fasten to Velcro on seat back.

Install Seat Bottom Cover

  • Put cover over seat bottom.
  • Tuck cover behind plastic trim around seat. The seams in the cover will line up with seat seams.
  • Tuck outside string between seat bottom and trim, where the back and bottom meet. Inside string goes under seat bottom, in front of rear seat mount.
  • Push top flap between seat back and seat bottom. Pull tight to line cover up with seat bottom.
  • Pull strings tight.
  • Secure strings with StringLock. See next page for StringLock instructions.
  • Run front flaps over all seat adjustment levers, wires, and brackets.
  • Pull front flaps as tight as possible and fasten to Velcro on top flap.

THE STRINGLOCK

  1. Run one string through the channel on the end of the StringLock.
  2. Pull the string tight, pulling the StringLock towards one edge of the seat. Press the string into the clamp, locking it in place.
  3. Run the second string through the StringLock just like the other one.
  4. Pull the loose end of the second string until everthing is tight and lock it into place as well.

Install Headrest Cover

  1. Put headrest back in seat by pressing plastic tabs and pushing down on headrest.
  2. Pull cover over head rest with “loop” Velcro in front and “hook” Velcro in rear.
  3. Fasten Velcro tabs together under headrest.

Install Seat Back/Console Cover.

  1. Lay console down.
  2. Tip lid up.
  3. Pull cover over lid, lining latch handle up with hole in cover.
  4. Close lid and tip console up.
  5. Pull cover between seat back and bottom.
  6. Pull cover up and over seat back.
  7. Lay console down.
  8. Pull rear side straps tight and fasten to rear of console.
  9. Lay console down.
  10. Open console.
  11. Fasten side straps behind hole for lid latch.

Install Seat Bottom Cover.

  1. Pull cover over seat bottom.
  2. Pull cover tight and fasten Velcro around bottom of cover to factory upholstery.
  3. Push top flap between seat back and seat bottom.
  4. Pull flap tight and push under rear of seat.
  5. Fasten Velcro to flap from front of the seat.

Q: What should I do if my seat covers get damaged?
A: If your seat covers are damaged within two years of purchase due to abuse, contact us at 507.246.3545 or orders@tigertough.com for warranty coverage. We will repair or replace the damaged cover based on practicality.
