When using the machine, always observe the enclosed safety warnings as well as
the additional safety warnings.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECHARGEABLE MACHINES
- Remove the battery from the machine during maintenance and when the machine will not
- be used for a longer period of time.
- Only use the prescribed type of battery (see the technical data).
WARNING! This device produces an electromagnetic field during operation. This field may interfere in certain circumstances with active or passive medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend that persons with medical implants consult their physician and the medical implant manufacturer before using this device.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGER AND BATTERY
- Read the general instructions and safety instructions carefully before charging the battery.
- Only use the prescribed charger to charge the battery. Do not charge batteries of another type with this charger. Mains adaptors are only to be used together with the charger socket and the accompanying battery.
- Only use the charger in a dry environment at a temperature between 10 °C and 40 °C.
- Do not use the charger when it has been damaged.
- Only have the charger and battery repaired by an authorized repair agent.
- Prevent the battery from short-circuiting. Make sure that the battery connections cannot touch metal objects.
- Do not store the battery where the temperature may rise above 40 °C, e.g. in a car that has been parked in the sun.
- Do not burn the battery.
- Never attempt to open the battery.
- In case of skin contact of the battery fluid, flush immediately with abundant water.
Neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. In case of eye contact, rinse abundantly for 10 minutes with clean water and consult a physician.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the battery power corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Also make sure that the voltage of your charger corresponds to that of your mains.
DESCRIPTION (FIG. A)
Your rechargeable drill/screwdriver has been designed for drilling in wood,
metal, stone and plastics and for screwdriving applications.

Charging the battery
The battery (7) must be charged before first use.
Only after several charge and discharge cycles the battery will attain full
capacity.
- Connect the power adapter (9) to the battery.
- Plug the power adapter into the power outlet.
- Charge the battery for 3-5 hours.
The red charging indicator lights when the battery is being charged.
The green charging indicator lights when the battery has been fully charged.
Never charge the battery for more than 5 hours. If the red indicator does not
light, the battery may be too warm. In this case let the battery cool down
before charging.
To install the battery (fig. B)
Slide the battery into the base of the drill until it clicks into place.
To remove the battery (fig. C)
Press the battery release button (8) and slide the battery from the base of
the drill.
LED light (3)
Your drill/screwdriver is equipped with a LED light.
The LED light will light when you operate the machine, providing the work area
to be lighted.
Positioning and removing a drill or screw bit (fig. A)
This tool is equipped with a keyless chuck (5).
- Open the chuck by turning the collar (6).
- Insert the drill or screw bit in the chuck.
- Close the chuck by firmly tightening the collar (6) while holding the rear part of the chuck with the other hand.
- In order to remove the drill or screw bit proceed in reverse order.
Before positioning or removing a drill or screw bit always remove the battery from the machine.
Forward/reverse switch (fig. A)
- Push the forward/reverse switch (2) to the left to drill holes and fasten screws.
- Push the forward/reverse switch (2) to the right to loosen screws.
Always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before changing the direction of rotation.
Adjusting the torque (fig. A)
This machine has been fitted with an adjustable coupling to limit the torque
when tightening screws.
- Turn the adjustment collar (4) clockwise to reduce the torque and counterclockwise to
- increase the torque. The correct setting depends on the type and size of the screw and the work piece.
- In case of doubt, start with the lowest setting and increase the torque until you have reached the desired result.
- For drilling, turn the adjustment collar to the drilling symbol.
Switching on and off (fig. A)
- To switch on the machine, press the on/off switch (1).
- To switch off the machine, release the on/off switch.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The machine does not require any special maintenance.
- Regularly clean the ventilation slots.

NOISE AND VIBRATION
Measured values determined according to EN60745: Typically the A-weighted
sound pressure level of the machine is 87 dB(A).
Uncertainty K = 3 dB(A). The noise level when working can exceed 98 dB(A).
Wear hearing protection!
Vibration total values (triax vector sum) determined according to EN 60745:
m/s 2 <2.5.

ENVIRONMENT
Disposal
Your product, accessories and packaging should be sorted for environmental-
friendly recycling.
Do not dispose of power tools into domestic waste. According to the European
Guideline 2002/96/EC for Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment and its implementation into national right, power tools that are no
longer usable must be collected separately and disposed of in an
environmentally friendly way.
Battery packs/batteries
Unwanted battery packs/batteries should be disposed of or recycled in an
environmentally friendly way and in conformance with the local regulations.
- Discharge the battery pack/battery by letting the machine run at no load until the motor stops.
- Remove the battery pack/battery from the machine.
- Hand in the battery pack/battery as chemical waste with the recycling station in your municipality
Defective or dead battery packs/batteries must be recycled according to guideline 91/157/EEC. Subject to change; specifications can be changed without further notice.
