Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

  1. Ensure power is off by switching the circuit breaker or removing the fuse.
  2. Remove plastic lens by squeezing and lifting it out.
  3. Remove access panel, install BX connector in the knockout.
  4. Install fixture using wood screws into pre-drilled holes or keyhole slots.
  5. Feed supply wires through BX connector and connect wires accordingly.
  6. Reinstall rear access panel and plastic lens.
  7. Set desired Color Temperature (CCT) using the selector switch.
  8. Restore power and use the built-in rocker switch to turn on/off.

WARNINGS

  • Risk of electric shock – Disconnect power at the source before installation.
  • If you are unsure about the installation or the maintenance of the fixture, please consult an electrician.
  • Do not make or alter any holes in the wiring enclosure or modify any electrical componentry.

CAUTIONS

  • The fixture must be wired in accordance with the National Electric Code (N.E.C) standards and any applicable local codes or ordinances.
  • Supply conductors must at least be rated for 90°C/194°F.
  • This fixture is designed for use with 120Vac, 50/60Hz only.
  • This fixture is designed for use with Romex NM-B or BX cable

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Ensure the power has been turned off by switching the circuit breaker to the off position or by removing the fuse from the fuse panel.

  2. Remove the plastic lens by squeezing the front of the lens in, then lifting the lens out.

  3. Remove the access panel on the back of the fixture and remove the knockout and install the provided BX connector.
    Note : Other knockouts are available in other locations on the fixture, the same BX connector can be used in these locations as well. If using one of the alternate locations the light housing would need to be removed by releasing the locking tabs.

  4. Install the fixture by using the provided wood screws using either the pre drilled holes or by using the keyhole slots. For reference, the distance between centers of the keyhole slots are shown in figure 2, figure 2a, and figure 2b.

  5. Feed the supply wires through the previously installed BX connector and tighten the BX connector screws to ensure a snug fit.

  6. Connect the green wire to the green or bare copper wire using the provided wire nut, then connect the white wire (neutral) to the white fixture wire using the provided wire nut, finally connect the black wire (hot) to the black fixture wire using the provied wire nut.

  7. Reinstall the rear access panel on the housing and tighten the locking screw. Then reinstall the plastic lens by insterting one end into the tab and squeezing the other side until the lens snaps into position.

  8. Select the desired CCT by moving the selector switch to the desired CCT shown in figure 3.

  9. Restore power to the fixture, the fixture can be turned on and off via the built in rocker switch.

  10. Installation is now complete.

3 YEAR WARRANTY

Maxxima extends a 3 year limited warranty to the original purchase that the products listed are free from defects in material and/or workmanship only. Maxxima will replace any warrantied product to the original consumer/purchaser if the product fails because of defects  due to workmanship and/or materials within the limited warranty period.
