The appliance is only intended for mowing lawns and grass areas in private homes. The appliance is intended for DIY use. This appliance is not intended for continuous commercial use. Commercial use will invalidate the guarantee. Any other use which is not expressly permitted in these operating instructions may damage the appliance and represents a serious risk for the user. The appliance is designed for use by adults. Children and persons who are not familiar with the operating instructions may not use this appliance. The use of the appliance in rain or humid environments is prohibited. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use or incorrect operation of the appliance. 1. Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

2. Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When working outdoors with an electrical power tool always use extension cords that are also suitable for use outdoors. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3. Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating a power tool may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear safety goggles. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

h) Do not allow yourself to get lulled into a false sense of security and do not ignore the safety regulations for power tools, even if you are familiar with the power tool after repeated use. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
4. Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children, and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits, etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
5. Use and handling of the cordless electrical power tool
a) Only charge rechargeable batteries using the chargers that are recommended by the manufacturer. Chargers are often designed for a particular type of rechargeable battery unit. There is a risk of fire if other types of rechargeable battery units are used.
b) Only the rechargeable battery units supplied are to be used with an electrical power tool. The use of other rechargeable battery units may lead to the danger of injury or fire.
c) When they are not being used, store rechargeable battery units away from paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that could cause the contacts to be bridged. Short-circuiting the contacts of a rechargeable battery unit may result in heat damage or fire.
d) Fluids may leak out of rechargeable battery units if they are misused. If this happens, avoid contact with the fluid. If contact occurs, flush the affected area with water. Seek additional medical help if any of the fluid gets into your eyes. Escaping battery fluid may cause skin irritation or burns.

e) Do not use a damaged or modified battery. Damaged or modified batteries may behave unexpectedly and cause fires, explosions or pose a risk of injury.
f) Do not expose a battery to fire or excessively high temperatures. Fire or temperatures in excess of 130°C (265°F) can cause an explosion.
g) Follow all instructions regarding charging and never charge the battery or the cordless tool outside the temperature range given in the operating instructions. Incorrect charging or charging outside of the permissible temperature range can destroy the battery and increase the risk of fire.
CAUTION! RISK OF EXPLOSION! Never charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Protect the rechargeable battery from heat (for example, from continuous exposure to sunlight), fire, water and moisture. There is a risk of explosion.
6. Service a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b) Never try to repair damaged batteries. Batteries should only be maintained by the manufacturer or an approved customer service centre.

k) Do not use the lawnmower on excessively steep slopes. This will reduce the risk of you losing control, slipping and falling, which can cause injuries.
l) When working on a slope, ensure you have firm footing; always work across the slope, never up and down, and be extremely careful when changing direction. This will reduce the risk of you losing control, slipping and falling, which can cause injuries.
m) Be particularly careful when mowing backwards or when pulling the lawnmower towards yourself. Always be aware of your environment. This will reduce the risk of you tripping while working.

Safety instructions when setting up
Never allow children or other persons who are not familiar with the operating instructions to use the appliance. Local regulations regarding the minimum age of operators may apply.
Never use the appliance while there are bystanders close by, especially children or pets. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
The operator or user is responsible for accidents or damage to other people or their property.
Check the area in which the appliance is to be used and remove any stones sticks, wires or other foreign bodies that may be caught and thrown out.
Always wear suitable working clothing such as sturdy footwear with non-slip soles and robust long trousers. Do not use the appliance while barefoot or in sandals. Avoid wearing loose clothing or clothing with hanging laces or belts.

Always carry out a visual inspection before use to check whether the cutting blade, fixing bolts and the entire cutting unit are worn or damaged. Do not use the appliance if guards (e.g. impact guard or grass catcher), parts of the cutting equipment or bolts are missing, worn or damaged. To avoid an unbalance, worn or damaged cutting blades and fixing bolts should only be replaced as a whole set.
Be careful when working with appliances with multiple cutting tools as the movement of one blade can cause the other blades to move.
Use only replacement parts and accessories supplied and recommended by the manufacturer. The use of third-party parts will immediately invalidate your warranty.

Make sure you have secure footing, especially when mowing on slopes. Always work across the slope, never up and down. Be particularly careful when changing direction. Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
Always push the appliance at walking pace. Be particularly careful while turning the appliance or when pulling it towards you or backwards.
Switch on the appliance carefully according to the instructions in this manual. Keep your feet at a safe distance from the rotating blades.
Do not tip the appliance during start-up except when this is necessary when starting in tall grass. In this case, tilt the appliance by pressing the handle bar so that the front wheels lift up slightly. Always check that both of your hands are in working position before returning the appliance to the ground.
Never work without the grass catcher or the impact guard. Keep clear of the discharge opening.
Do not start the motor when standing in front of the discharge opening.

Blade keeps turning after the motor is switched off. There is a risk of injury.

Safety guidelines for battery chargers
This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks. Do not allow children to play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

Before use
Charging the battery pack (see fig. L)
CAUTION!
Always unplug the appliance before you remove the battery pack p from or connect it to the charger.
NOTE
Never charge the battery pack at an ambient temperature of below 10°C or above 40°C. If a lithium-ion battery is to be stored for an extended period, the charge level should be checked regularly. The optimum charge level is between 50% and 80%. The storage climate should be cool and dry and the ambient temperature should be between 0°C and 50°C.
Push the battery pack p into the high-speed battery charger g (see fig. L).
Insert the mains plug into the mains socket. The control LED k lights up red.
The green LED l indicates that the charging process is complete and the battery pack p is ready.
ATTENTION!
If the red control LED k flashes, this means that the battery pack p has overheated and cannot be charged.
If the red and green control LEDs kl both flash, this means that the battery pack p is defective.
Switch off the charger for at least 15 minutes between successive charging sessions. Also disconnect the power plug from the mains power socket.

Assembly

Always switch the appliance off and remove the battery before carrying out any work on the appliance.

Fitting the handlebar (see fig. B)
Attach the lower shanks Push the two lower shanks 6 into the sockets
on the lawnmower housing.
Fix the lower shank 6 into place using the supplied washers 4 and quick- release levers 3.
Lock the quick-release levers 3 by pushing them towards the handle 1. They must lie against the handle in such a way that they can be closed with the application of medium force. Otherwise, the quick-release lever 3 must be tightened by turning them clockwise or loosened anti-clockwise before closing.
Fitting the handle (see fig. C) Attach the handle 1 using the supplied nuts 5,
washers 4 and the quick release levers 3 to the lower shanks 6. Three positions are possible.
Fitting the cable retainer (see fig. A) Clip the cable retainer z onto the lower
shank 6 and the curved handle 1 and fix it onto the appliance cable u.

NOTE
If you loosen and open the quick-release levers 3, you can fold the handle 1 down to store the appliance. Make sure that the appliance cable u is not trapped.
Fitting the grass catcher (see fig. D)
Slide the plastic flaps over the tube frame.
Insert the handle 7 of the grass catcher 8 into the mounting provided for this purpose on the top of the grass catcher 8.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! The lawnmower may not be used without the
impact guard 9 or the grass catcher 8. There is a risk of injury.
Operation

when the motor is switched off and the blade is stationary. There is a risk of personal injury.
Switch the appliance off and remove the contact key t and wait until the blade is at a complete standstill.
Fitting/removing the grass catcher (see fig. E)
NOTE
The lawnmower is supplied with the mulching kit o pre-fitted.
To attach the grass catcher 8, lift the impact guard 9 and hook the grass catcher 8 onto the appliance.
Lower the impact guard 9 onto the grass catcher. This holds the grass catcher 8 in the correct position.

To remove the grass catcher 8, lift the impact guard 9 and unhook the grass catcher 8 from the appliance. Flip the impact guard 9 back down onto the appliance housing e.
Mulching kit (see fig. F)
Inserting the mulching kit Remove the grass catcher 8, if attached.
Raise the impact guard 9.
Insert the mulching kit o.
Lower the impact guard 9 onto the mulching kit o. This holds the mulching kit o in the correct position.
Removing the mulching kit Remove the mulching kit o.
Adjusting the cutting height (see fig. G) The appliance has 5 positions for setting the cutting height

Inserting the battery pack Raise the transparent cover r on the appliance
housing.
To insert the battery pack p into the appliance, push the battery pack p along the guide rail into the appliance. It clicks audibly into place.
Removing the battery pack To remove the battery pack p, press the re-
lease button for the battery pack a and pull the battery pack p out of the appliance.
Checking the battery charge level
Press the battery charge level button j to check the status of the battery (see also main diagram). The status/remaining charge will be shown on the battery display LED h as follows: RED/ORANGE/GREEN = maximum charge RED/ORANGE = medium charge RED = low charge ­ charge the battery

NOTE
The correct cutting height for an ornamental lawn is about 25­45 mm, for a utility lawn about 45­65 mm.
Select a high cutting height for the first cut of the season.
Comply with regulations regarding noise protection and local rules.

Using the appliance
Switching on and off (see figs. H + I)
Switching on Place the mower on a level surface.
Raise the transparent cover r on the appliance housing.
Push the charged battery pack p along the guide rail into the appliance. It clicks audibly into place.
Insert the contact key t into the opening provided.
Before switching the appliance on, make sure that it is not in contact any objects.
To switch on the appliance, press the release button i and hold it down while pressing the start lever 2.
Let go the release button i.
Switching off To switch off, release the start lever 2.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! After the appliance is switched off, the blade
d continues to rotate for a few seconds. Do not touch the moving blade d. There is a risk of personal injury.

Working with the lawnmower
Regular mowing stimulates the grass plant to produce more leaves, and at the same time causes weeds to die off. Therefore, repeated mowing causes the lawn to become denser and an uniformly resilient lawn is created. The first cut is made from about April onwards at a growth height of 70­80 mm. During the main vegetation period, you should mow the lawn at least once a week.
Push the appliance at walking pace in as straight a path as possible. For seamless mowing, the strips should always overlap by a few centimetres.
Set the cutting height so that the appliance is not overloaded. Otherwise the motor could be damaged.
Always work across the slope. Be extremely careful when mowing backwards and when dragging the appliance.
Clean the appliance after every use as described in the section “Cleaning, maintenance and storage”.
The difference between mowing and mulching
When using the mulching kit o, the grass cuttings are not collected in a catcher but shredded and distributed on the lawn. The nutrients contained in the lawn clippings are thus broken down by soil organisms and form a nutrient cycle. Mulched lawns therefore need to be fertilised much less frequently.
As a rule of thumb, the lawn needs to be mowed relatively often so that only small amounts of mulch remain on the lawn.
Ideally, you should mulch the lawn at least once a week and the mower should be set so that only about 40% of the total height of the lawn is mulched. If too mulch is left on the lawn (for example, during the first lawn cut of the year or during strong growth), use the grass catcher 8.

Cleaning, maintenance and storage

General cleaning and maintenance work
WARNING!
Do not spray the lawnmower with water. There is a risk of electric shock.
Keep the appliance clean at all times. Use a brush or cloth for cleaning, but do not use cleaning agents or solvents.
After mowing, use a piece of wood or plastic to remove any plant debris adhering to the wheels, the air vents, the discharge opening and the blade area. Do not use any sharp or pointed objects. You could damage the appliance.
Check the lawnmower before every use for obvious problems such as loose, worn or damaged parts. Check that all nuts, bolts and screws are tight.

Check covers and guards for damage and correct fit. Replace them if necessary.
Replacing the blade (see fig. J) If the blade is blunt, it can be sharpened by a specialist workshop. If the blade is damaged or unbalanced, it must be replaced.
Remove the contact key t or the battery pack p from the appliance.
Turn the appliance over.
Use sturdy gloves and hold the blade d firmly. Unscrew the blade bolt s by turning it anticlockwise with a wrench (spanner size 12) and remove it from the motor spindle f.
Fit the new blade d in the reverse order. Make sure that the blade d is correctly positioned and the blade bolt s is firmly tightened.
Adjusting the cable pull
NOTE
If the cable has lengthened over time, use a hex key to tighten up the cable fastening.
Storage (see fig. K)
Undo the four quick-release levers 3 and fold the handle 1 and lower shank 6 together so that the appliance takes up less space. Make sure that the appliance cable u is not trapped. ­ Store the appliance in a dry location, ­ out of the reach of children.
Let the motor cool down before placing the appliance in an enclosed room.
Remove the battery before storing the appliance for an extended period (e.g. over winter).
Before storage, ensure that the grass catcher is clean and free of debris. If necessary, clean with a soft dry brush.

Disposal
Do not dispose of power tools in your normal domestic waste!

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If included with the product on delivery, the battery packs of the X12V and X20V Team series also come with a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the fault and of when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. 1. Sécurité de la zone de travail
a) Conserver la zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Les zones en désordre ou sombres sont propices aux accidents.
b) Ne pas faire fonctionner les outils électriques en atmosphère explosive, par exemple en présence de liquides inflammables, de gaz ou de poussières. Les outils électriques produisent des étincelles qui peuvent enflammer les poussières ou les fumées.
c) Maintenir les enfants et les personnes présentes à l’écart pendant l’utilisation de l’outil électrique. Les distractions peuvent vous faire perdre le contrôle de l’outil.

2. Sécurité électrique
a) Il faut que les fiches de l’outil électrique soient adaptées au socle. Ne jamais modifier la fiche de quelque façon que ce soit. Ne pas utiliser d’adaptateurs avec des outils électriques à branchement de terre. Des fiches non modifiées et des socles adaptés réduisent le risque de choc électrique.
b) Éviter tout contact du corps avec des surfaces reliées à la terre telles que les tuyaux, les radiateurs, les cuisinières et les réfrigérateurs. Il existe un risque accru de choc électrique si votre corps est relié à la terre.
c) Ne pas exposer les outils électriques à la pluie ou à des conditions humides. La pénétration d’eau à l’intérieur d’un outil électrique augmente le risque de choc électrique.
d) Ne pas maltraiter le cordon. Ne jamais utiliser le cordon pour porter, tirer ou débrancher l’outil électrique. Maintenir le cordon à l’écart de la chaleur, du lubrifiant, des arêtes vives ou des parties en mouvement. Des cordons endommagés ou emmêlés augmentent le risque de choc électrique.
e) En cas d’utilisation d’un outil électrique à l’extérieur, utiliser uniquement des rallonges adaptées à l’utilisation extérieure. L’utilisation d’un cordon adapté à l’utilisation extérieure réduit le risque de choc électrique.
f) Si l’usage d’un outil électrique dans un emplacement humide est inévitable, utiliser une alimentation protégée par un dispositif à courant différentiel résiduel (RCD). L’usage d’un RCD réduit le risque de choc électrique.

3. Sécurité des personnes
a) Rester vigilant, regarder ce que vous êtes en train de faire et faire preuve de bon sens dans votre utilisation de l’outil électrique. Ne pas utiliser un outil électrique lorsque vous êtes fatigué ou sous l’emprise de drogues, de l’alcool ou de médicaments. Un moment d’inattention en cours d’utilisation d’un outil électrique peut entraîner des blessures graves.
b) Utiliser un équipement de protection individuelle. Toujours porter des lunettes de protection. Les équipements de protection individuelle tels que les masques contre les poussières, les chaussures de sécurité antidérapantes, les casques ou les protections auditives utilisés pour les conditions appropriées réduisent les blessures.
c) Éviter tout démarrage intempestif. S’assurer que l’interrupteur est en position arrêt avant de brancher l’outil au secteur et/ou au bloc de batteries, de le ramasser ou de le porter. Porter les outils électriques en ayant le doigt sur l’interrupteur ou brancher des outils électriques dont l’interrupteur est en position marche est source d’accidents.
d) Retirer toute clé de réglage avant de mettre l’outil électrique en marche. Une clé laissée fixée sur une partie tournante de l’outil électrique peut donner lieu à des blessures.
e) Ne pas se précipiter. Garder une position et un équilibre adaptés à tout moment. Cela permet un meilleur contrôle de l’outil électrique dans des situations inattendues.
f) S’habiller de manière adaptée. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou de bijoux. Garder les cheveux et les vêtements à distance des parties en mouvement. Des vêtements amples, des bijoux ou les cheveux longs peuvent être pris dans des parties en mouvement.
g) Si des dispositifs sont fournis pour le raccordement d’équipements pour l’extraction et la récupération des poussières, s’assurer qu’ils sont connectés et correctement utilisés. Utiliser des collecteurs de poussière peut réduire les risques dus aux poussières.

h) Ne vous croyez pas en parfaite sécurité et ne négligez pas les règles de sécurité liées aux outils électriques, même si vous êtes familiarisé avec l’outil électrique en raison d’une utilisation fréquente. Une fraction de seconde d’inattention peut provoquer une blessure grave.
4. Utilisation et entretien de l’outil électrique
a) Ne pas forcer l’outil électrique. Utiliser l’outil électrique adapté à votre application. L’outil électrique adapté réalise mieux le travail et de manière plus sûre au régime pour lequel il a été construit.
b) Ne pas utiliser l’outil électrique si l’interrupteur ne permet pas de passer de l’état de marche à arrêt et inversement. Tout outil électrique qui ne peut pas être commandé par l’interrupteur est dangereux et il faut le réparer.
c) Débrancher la fiche de la source d’alimentation et/ou enlever le bloc de batteries, s’il est amovible, avant tout réglage, changement d’accessoires ou avant de ranger l’outil électrique. De telles mesures de sécurité préventives réduisent le risque de démarrage accidentel de l’outil électrique.
d) Conserver les outils à l’arrêt hors de la portée des enfants et ne pas permettre à des personnes ne connaissant pas l’outil électrique ou les présentes instructions de le faire fonctionner. Les outils électriques sont dangereux entre les mains d’utilisateurs novices.
e) Observer la maintenance des outils électriques et des accessoires. Vérifier qu’il n’y a pas de mauvais alignement ou de blocage des parties mobiles, des pièces cassées ou toute autre condition pouvant affecter le fonctionnement de l’outil électrique. En cas de dommages, faire réparer l’outil électrique avant de l’utiliser. De nombreux accidents sont dus à des outils électriques mal entretenus.

f) Garder affûtés et propres les outils permettant de couper. Des outils destinés à couper correctement entretenus avec des pièces coupantes tranchantes sont moins susceptibles de bloquer et sont plus faciles à contrôler.
g) Utiliser l’outil électrique, le ou les outils à insérer, etc., conformément à ces instructions. en tenant compte des conditions de travail et du travail à réaliser. L’utilisation de l’outil électrique pour des opérations différentes de celles prévues peut donner lieu à des situations dangereuses.
h) Il faut que les poignées et les surfaces de préhension restent sèches, propres et dépourvues d’huiles et de graisses. Des poignées et des surfaces de préhension glissantes rendent impossibles la manipulation et le contrôle en toute sécurité de l’outil dans les situations inattendues.
5. Utilisation et manipulation d’un outil à accu
a) Charger les batteries uniquement avec les chargeurs recommandés par le fabricant. Un chargeur compatible pour certains types de batteries peut provoquer un incendie s’il est utilisé avec d’autres batteries.
b) N’utiliser les outils qu’avec des blocs de batteries spécifiquement désignés. L’utilisation de tout autre bloc de batteries peut créer un risque de blessure et de feu.
c) Tenir les batteries inutilisées à l’abri des agrafes, pièces de monnaie, clés, clous, vis et autres objets en métal susceptibles de court-circuiter les contacts. Un court-circuit entre les contacts des batteries peut provoquer des brûlures ou un incendie.
d) La batterie peut couler en cas d’usage incorrect. Éviter tout contact avec ce liquide. Laver à l’eau en cas de contact involontaire. En cas de contact du liquide avec les yeux, il faut en plus consulter un médecin. Le liquide qui s’écoule des batteries peut causer des irritations de la peau ou des brûlures.

e) Ne pas utiliser de batterie endommagée ou modifiée. Les batteries endommagées ou modifiées peuvent se comporter de manière imprévisible et entraîner un incendie, une explosion ou un risque de blessures.
f) Ne jamais exposer une batterie au feu ou à des températures trop élevées. Le feu ou des températures supérieures à 130 °C (265 °F) peuvent entraîner une explosion.
g) Suivre toutes les instructions relatives à la recharge et ne jamais recharger la batterie ou l’outil à batterie en dehors de la plage de température indiquée dans ce mode d’emploi. Une recharge incorrecte ou en dehors de la plage de températures autorisée peut détruire la batterie et augmenter le risque d’incendie.
PRUDENCE ! RISQUE D’EXPLOSION ! Ne jamais recharger des piles non rechargeables.
Protéger la batterie de la chaleur, p. ex. aussi du rayonnement solaire continu, du feu, de l’eau et de l’humidité. Il y a risque d’explosion.
6. Maintenance et entretien a) Faire entretenir l’outil électrique par un répa-
rateur qualifié utilisant uniquement des pièces de rechange identiques. Cela assurera que la sécurité de l’outil est maintenue.
b) N’utilisez jamais des batteries endommagées. L’entretien des batteries ne doit être effectué que par le constructeur ou des points de service après- vente agréés.
Consignes de sécurité pour les tondeuses à gazon a) N’utilisez pas la tondeuse à gazon par
mauvais temps, en particulier en cas de risque d’orage. Cela réduit le risque d’être frappé par la foudre.
b) Inspectez soigneusement la zone de travail à la recherche d’animaux sauvages. Les animaux sauvages peuvent être blessés par la tondeuse à gazon en marche.

c) Examinez soigneusement la zone de travail et retirez toutes les pierres, bâtons, fils, os et autres corps étrangers. Les pièces projetées peuvent provoquer des blessures.
d) Avant d’utiliser la tondeuse, vérifiez toujours que la lame de coupe et le dispositif de coupe ne sont pas usés ou endommagés. Les pièces usées ou endommagées augmentent le risque de blessure.
e) Vérifiez régulièrement l’usure ou la détérioration du bac de ramassage. Un bac de ramassage usé ou endommagé augmente le risque de blessures.
f) Laissez les capots de protection en place. Les capots de protection doivent être opérationnels et correctement fixés. Un capot de protection mal fixé, endommagé ou ne fonctionnant pas correctement peut entraîner des blessures.
g) Maintenez les ouvertures d’entrée d’air de refroidissement exemptes de tout dépôt. Les entrées d’air obstruées et les dépôts peuvent provoquer une surchauffe ou constituer un risque d’incendie.
h) Portez toujours des chaussures de sécurité antidérapantes lorsque vous utilisez la tondeuse à gazon. Ne jamais travailler pieds nus ou avec des sandales ouvertes. Vous réduisez ainsi le risque de vous blesser au pied en cas de contact avec la lame de tonte en rotation.
i) Portez toujours un pantalon long lorsque vous utilisez la tondeuse à gazon. La peau nue augmente la probabilité de blessures causées par des pièces éjectées.
j) Ne pas utiliser la tondeuse dans l’herbe mouillée. Marchez, ne courez jamais. Vous réduisez ainsi le risque de glisser et de tomber, et de vous blesser.
k) Ne pas utiliser la tondeuse sur des pentes trop abruptes. Cela permet de réduire le risque de perdre le contrôle, de glisser et de tomber, au risque de vous blesser.

l) Lorsque vous travaillez en pente, veillez à avoir une position stable ; travaillez toujours transversalement à la pente, jamais vers le haut ou vers le bas, et soyez extrêmement prudent lorsque vous changez de direction de travail. Cela permet de réduire le risque de perdre le contrôle, de glisser et de tomber, au risque de vous blesser.
m) Soyez particulièrement prudent lorsque vous tondez en marche arrière ou lorsque vous tirez la tondeuse vers vous. Soyez toujours attentif à l’environnement. Cela réduit le risque de trébuchement pendant le travail.
n) Ne touchez pas les lames ou autres pièces dangereuses encore en mouvement. Vous réduisez ainsi le risque de vous blesser avec des pièces en mouvement.

N’utilisez pas l’appareil si vous marchez pieds nus ou si vous portez des sandales ouvertes. Évitez de porter des vêtements amples ou des vêtements avec des cordons ou des ceintures qui pendent.
Avant l’utilisation, il convient de toujours vérifier par un contrôle visuel que les lames de coupe, les boulons de fixation et l’ensemble de l’unité de coupe ne sont pas usés ou endommagés. N’utilisez pas l’appareil si les dispositifs de protection (par exemple la protection contre les chocs ou le bac de ramassage), les pièces du dispositif de coupe ou les boulons manquent, sont usés ou endommagés. Ne remplacer les lames de coupe et les boulons de fixation usés ou endommagés que par jeux entiers afin d’éviter tout déséquilibre.
Soyez prudent avec les appareils dotés de plusieurs outils de coupe, car le mouvement d’une lame peut entraîner la rotation des autres lames.
Utilisez uniquement les accessoires et pièces de rechange livrés et recommandés par le fabricant. L’utilisation de pièces tierces entraîne la perte immédiate du droit à la garantie.
Il convient de remplacer les panneaux de signalisation usés ou endommagés.

Ne travaillez pas avec l’appareil si vous êtes fatigué ou déconcentré ou après avoir pris de l’alcool ou des comprimés. Faites toujours une pause de travail à temps. Toujours procéder avec prudence lors du travail.
Veillez à avoir une position stable lorsque vous travaillez, en particulier en pente. Travaillez toujours transversalement à la pente, jamais en montant ou en descendant. Soyez particulièrement prudent lorsque vous changez de direction sur une pente. Ne travaillez pas sur des pentes trop raides.
Ne guidez l’appareil qu’en marchant au pas. Soyez particulièrement prudent lorsque vous faites demi-tour, lorsque vous tirez l’appareil vers vous ou lorsque vous marchez à reculons.
Allumez l’appareil avec précaution en suivant les instructions de ce mode d’emploi. Veillez à respecter une distance suffisante entre vos pieds et les lames en rotation.
Ne basculez pas l’appareil au démarrage, sauf si cela s’avère nécessaire pour démarrer dans de l’herbe haute. Dans ce cas, basculez l’appareil en appuyant sur le guidon de manière à ce que les roues avant soient légèrement levées. Vérifiez toujours que vos deux mains sont en position de travail avant de remettre l’appareil sur le sol.
Ne travaillez jamais sans bac de ramassage ou sans protection contre les chocs. Tenez-vous toujours à distance de l’ouverture d’éjection.
Ne démarrez pas le moteur lorsque vous vous trouvez devant la goulotte d’éjection.
ATTENTION DANGER !
La lame poursuit sa course. Il y a risque de blessure.
Il ne faut pas soulever ou transporter l’appareil tant que le moteur tourne. Éteignez l’appareil lorsqu’il doit être basculé pour le transport, lorsque vous traversez des surfaces autres que des pelouses et lorsque l’appareil est amené vers et depuis les surfaces à tondre.
Maintenez toujours l’ouverture d’éjection de l’herbe propre et dégagée. N’enlevez l’herbe coupée que lorsque l’appareil est à l’arrêt.

Ne laissez jamais l’appareil sans surveillance sur le lieu de travail.
Ne travaillez pas avec un appareil endommagé, incomplet ou modifié sans l’autorisation du fabricant. N’utilisez jamais l’appareil si les dispositifs de protection ou les protections sont endommagés ou si les dispositifs de sécurité tels que les déflecteurs et/ou dispositifs de ramassage d’herbe font défaut.
Ne forcez pas votre appareil. Ne travaillez que dans la plage de puissance indiquée et ne modifiez pas les réglages du régulateur sur le moteur. Ne pas utiliser de machines de faible puissance pour des travaux lourds. N’utilisez pas votre appareil à des fins auxquelles il n’est pas destiné.
N’utilisez pas l’appareil à proximité de liquides ou de gaz inflammables. Le non-respect de cette consigne peut entraîner un risque d’incendie ou d’explosion.
Éteignez l’appareil, retirez la clé de contact et enlevez la batterie. Assurez-vous que toutes les pièces mobiles sont immobiles :
­ chaque fois que vous quittez l’appareil et lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé,
­ avant de débloquer ou d’éliminer les obstructions dans le canal d’éjection,
­ avant de vérifier, de nettoyer ou d’intervenir sur l’appareil,
­ lorsqu’un corps étranger a été heurté. Recherchez d’éventuels dommages sur l’appareil et effectuez les réparations nécessaires avant de redémarrer et de travailler avec l’appareil,
­ si l’appareil se met à vibrer de manière inhabituelle, un contrôle immédiat s’impose.
­ Veillez à ce que tous les écrous, boulons et vis soient bien serrés.
­ Vérifiez que l’appareil n’est pas endommagé.
­ Effectuez les réparations nécessaires des pièces endommagées.

Ne placez jamais vos mains ou vos pieds à proximité ou sous des pièces en rotation. Ne vous placez jamais devant l’ouverture d’éjection de l’herbe.
Retirez toujours le coupe-circuit / la clé de contact lorsque :
­ vous vous éloignez de l’outil de jardinage, avant d’éliminer les blocages,
­ vous vérifiez, nettoyez ou travaillez sur l’outil de jardin,
­ une collision s’est produite avec un corps étranger. Vérifiez immédiatement si l’appareil est endommagé et faites-le réparer si nécessaire,
­ si l’outil de jardin commence à vibrer de manière inhabituelle (vérifier immédiatement !).
­ Lors du démarrage ou de la mise en marche du moteur, il faut éviter d’incliner la tondeuse à gazon, à moins qu’il ne soit nécessaire de la soulever lors de l’opération. Dans ce cas, ne l’inclinez que le strict nécessaire et ne soulevez que le côté opposé à l’utilisateur.
Consignes de sécurité pour l’entretien et le stockage
Laissez le moteur refroidir avant de ranger l’appareil dans un local fermé.
Lors de l’entretien des lames de coupe, veillez à ce que les lames de coupe puissent être déplacées même lorsque la source de tension est coupée.
Veillez à ce que tous les écrous, boulons et vis soient bien serrés et que l’appareil soit en état de fonctionner en toute sécurité.
N’essayez pas de réparer l’appareil vousmême, sauf si vous avez été formé en conséquence. Tous les travaux qui ne sont pas indiqués dans ce mode d’emploi ne doivent être effectués que par des services après-vente habilités par nos soins.
Conservez l’appareil dans un endroit sec et hors de portée des enfants.

Manipulez votre appareil avec soin. Conserver les outils tranchants et propres afin d’assurer un meilleur travail et en toute sécurité. Respectez les consignes d’entretien.
Portez des gants de protection lorsque vous changez de dispositif de coupe.
Vérifiez régulièrement que le bac de ramassage n’est ni usé ni déformé. Pour des raisons de sécurité, remplacez les pièces usées ou endommagées. Lors du réglage des lames, faites très attention à ne pas vous coincer les doigts entre les lames en rotation et les parties fixes de la machine.
Vérifiez que seuls des outils de coupe de rechange validés par le fabricant sont utilisés.

Avant la mise en service
Charger le bloc-batterie (voir fig. L)
PRUDENCE !
Débranchez toujours la fiche secteur du chargeur avant d’en retirer le bloc- batterie p ou de le mettre en place.
REMARQUE
Ne chargez jamais le bloc-batterie lorsque la température ambiante est inférieure à 10 °C ou supérieure à 40 °C. Si une batterie lithium-ions doit rester stockée pendant une période prolongée, il faut contrôler régulièrement son état de charge. L’état de charge optimal se situe entre 50 % et 80 %. Le climat de stockage doit être frais et sec dans une température ambiante comprise entre 0 °C et 50 °C.
Placez le bloc-batterie p dans le chargeur rapide (voir fig. L).
Insérez la fiche secteur dans la prise de courant. La LED de contrôle k s’allume en rouge.
La LED de contrôle verte l vous signale que l’opération de recharge est terminée et que le bloc-batterie p est prêt à être utilisé.
ATTENTION !
Si la LED de contrôle rouge k se met à clignoter, cela signifie que le bloc- batterie p surchauffe et qu’il ne peut pas être rechargé.
Si les LED de contrôle rouge et verte k l clignotent ensemble, cela signifie que le bloc-batterie p est défectueux.
Éteignez le chargeur pendant au moins 15 minutes entre deux opérations de recharge consécutives. Débranchez pour cela la fiche secteur.

Montage
AVERTISSEMENT ! RISQUE DE BLESSURE !
Avant d’effectuer tout travail sur l’appareil, éteignez-le et retirez la batterie.
Portez des gants de protection.
N’effectuez que les travaux dont vous vous sentez capable.
En cas d’incertitude, adressez-vous à un spécialiste ou directement à notre service.
Monter la tringlerie de la poignée (voir fig. B)
Monter les longerons inférieurs Insérez les deux longerons inférieurs 6 dans le
logement sur le carter de la tondeuse.
Fixez le longeron inférieur 6 à l’aide des rondelles 4 et des sauterelles 3 fournies.
Verrouillez les sauterelles 3 en les poussant vers la poignée étrier 1. Elles doivent être appliquées contre la poignée étrier de manière à permettre un serrage avec une force moyenne. Sinon, il faut tourner la sauterelle 3 dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre pour la serrer ou la desserrer dans le sens inverse.
Monter la poignée étrier (voir fig. C) Fixez la poignée étrier 1 aux longerons infé-
rieurs 6 à l’aide des écrous 5, des rondelles 4 et des sauterelles 3 fournis. Trois positions sont possibles.
Monter le support de cordon d’alimentation (voir fig. A) Clipsez les supports de cordon d’alimentation
z sur le longeron inférieur 6 et la poignée étrier 1 et utilisez-les pour fixer le câble de l’appareil u.

REMARQUE
Si vous desserrez et ouvrez les sauterelles 3, vous pouvez rabattre la poignée étrier 1 vers le bas pour ranger l’appareil. Veiller à ce que le câble de l’appareil u ne soit pas coincé.
Monter le bac de ramassage (voir fig. D)
Enfilez les languettes en plastique sur la structure tubulaire.
Insérez la poignée 7 du bac de ramassage 8 dans le logement prévu à cet effet sur la partie supérieure du bac de ramassage 8.
AVERTISSEMENT ! RISQUE DE BLESSURE ! Il est interdit de travailler avec la tondeuse sans protection contre les chocs 9 ou sans bac de ramassage 8. Il y a risque de blessure.
Utilisation
AVERTISSEMENT ! RISQUE DE BLESSURE ! Les réglages de la tondeuse ne doivent être effectués que lorsque le moteur est coupé et que la lame est à l’arrêt. Il y a un risque de blessures corporelles.
Éteignez l’appareil, retirez la clé de contact t et attendez l’arrêt de la lame.
Accrocher/décrocher le bac de ramassage (voir fig. E)
REMARQUE
Le kit de mulching o est prémonté à la livraison.
Pour accrocher le bac de ramassage 8, soulevez la protection contre les chocs 9 et accrochez le bac de ramassage 8.
Rabattez la protection contre les chocs 9 sur le bac de ramassage. Elle maintient le bac de ramassage 8 en position correcte.

Pour retirer le bac de ramassage 8, soulevez la protection contre les chocs 9 et décrochez le bac de ramassage 8. Rabattez la protection contre les chocs 9 sur le carter de l’appareil e.
Kit de mulching (voir fig. F)
Mettre en place le kit de mulching Retirez le bac de ramassage 8, s’il est en
place.
Levez la protection contre les chocs 9.
Mettez le kit de mulching o en place.
Rabattez la protection contre les chocs 9 sur le kit de mulching o. Il maintient le bac de ramassage o en position correcte.
Retirer le kit de mulching Retirez le kit de mulching o.
Régler la hauteur de coupe (voir fig. G) L’appareil possède 5 positions pour le réglage de la hauteur de coupe

Pour insérer le bloc-batterie p dans l’appareil, faites glisser le bloc- batterie p dans l’appareil le long du rail de guidage. Il s’enclenche de manière audible.
Retirer le bloc-batterie Pour retirer le bloc-batterie p de l’appareil,
appuyez sur la touche de déverrouillage du bloc-batterie a et retirez le bloc- batterie p de l’appareil.
Contrôler l’état de la batterie
Pour vérifier l’état de la batterie, appuyez sur la touche d’état de la batterie j (voir aussi la figure principale). L’état et la puissance restante s’affichent comme suit sur la LED d’affichage de la batterie h : ROUGE/ORANGE/VERT = charge maximale ROUGE/ORANGE = charge moyenne ROUGE = charge faible ­ recharger la batterie

REMARQUE
La hauteur de coupe correcte est d’environ 25 à 45 mm pour un gazon d’ornement et de 45 à 65 mm pour un gazon fonctionnel.
Pour la première coupe de la saison, il convient de choisir une hauteur de coupe élevée.
Veuillez respecter les directives locales et les règlementations sur le bruit.

Mise en service
Allumer/éteindre (cf. fig. H + I)
Allumer Placez la tondeuse sur une surface plane.
Soulevez le cache transparent r sur le carter de l’appareil.
Faites glisser le bloc-batterie chargé p dans l’appareil le long du rail de guidage. Il s’enclenche de manière audible.
Insérez la clé de contact t dans l’ouverture prévue à cet effet.
Avant de mettre l’appareil en marche, veillez à ce qu’il ne touche aucun objet.
Pour le mettre en marche, appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage i et maintenez-le tout en appuyant maintenant sur le levier de démarrage 2.
Relâchez le bouton de déverrouillage i.
Éteindre Relâchez le levier de démarrage 2.
AVERTISSEMENT ! RISQUE DE BLESSURE ! Après avoir éteint l’appareil, la lame d continue de tourner pendant quelques secondes. Ne touchez pas la lame en mouvement d. Il y a un risque de blessures corporelles.

Travailler avec la tondeuse à gazon
Une tonte régulière stimule la plante herbacée pour qu’elle produise davantage de feuilles, tout en tuant parallèlement les adventices. C’est pourquoi, après chaque tonte, le gazon est plus dense, ce qui permet d’obtenir un gazon résistant de manière uniforme. La première coupe a lieu à partir d’avril environ, lorsque la hauteur de croissance est de 70 à 80 mm. En période de végétation principale, le gazon doit être tondu au moins une fois par semaine.
Guidez l’appareil au pas en suivant des trajectoires aussi droites que possible. Pour une tonte sans discontinuité, les laizes de tonte doivent toujours se chevaucher de quelques centimètres.
Réglez la hauteur de coupe de manière à ne pas surcharger l’appareil. Vous risquez sinon d’endommager le moteur.
Dans les pentes, travaillez toujours transversalement à la pente. Soyez particulièrement prudent lorsque vous reculez ou tirez l’appareil.
Nettoyez l’appareil après chaque utilisation comme décrit au chapitre “Nettoyage, entretien et stockage”.
Différence entre la tonte et le mulching
En utilisant le kit de mulching o, l’herbe coupée n’est pas collectée dans un bac de ramassage mais broyée et répartie sur la pelouse. Les substances nutritives contenues dans les tontes de gazon sont ainsi décomposées par les organismes du sol et forment un cycle nutritif. Le gazon mulché doit donc être fertilisé beaucoup moins souvent.
En principe, le gazon doit être tondu relativement souvent, de sorte qu’il ne reste qu’une petite quantité de mulch à la surface.
Il est donc préférable de mulcher la pelouse au moins une fois par semaine et de régler la tondeuse de manière à ce que seuls 40% environ de la hauteur totale de la pelouse soient produits sous forme de mulch. Si le mulch reste visible sur la pelouse (par exemple lors de la première tonte de l’année ou en cas de forte croissance), il est conseillé de travailler avec le bac de ramassage 8.

Nettoyage, entretien et stockage

Avant toute opération d’entretien ou de nettoyage, éteignez l’appareil, retirez la clé de contact t et attendez l’arrêt de la lame. Il y a un risque de blessures corporelles.
Nettoyage et entretien général
AVERTISSEMENT !
N’aspergez pas la tondeuse à gazon d’eau. Il y a un risque de choc électrique.
Conservez toujours l’appareil propre. Pour le nettoyage, utilisez une brosse ou un chiffon, mais pas de détergents ou de solvants.
Après la tonte, enlevez les résidus végétaux collés sur les roues, les orifices d’aération, l’ouverture d’éjection et la zone des lames à l’aide d’un morceau de bois ou de plastique. N’utilisez pas d’objets durs ou pointus, vous risqueriez d’endommager l’appareil.
Avant chaque utilisation, vérifiez que la tondeuse ne présente pas de défauts apparents tels que des pièces desserrées, usées ou endommagées. Vérifiez que tous les écrous, boulons et vis sont bien serrés.

Vérifiez que les capots et les dispositifs de protection ne sont pas endommagés et qu’ils sont bien en place. Remplacez-les si nécessaire.
Remplacer la lame (voir fig. J) Si la lame est émoussée, un atelier spécialisé peut l’affûter. Si la lame est endommagée ou présente un déséquilibre, il faut la remplacer.
Retirez la clé de contact t ou retirez le bloc-batterie p de l’appareil.
Retournez l’appareil.
Utilisez des gants robustes et tenez fermement la lame d. Dévissez la vis de la lame f de la broche du moteur f dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre à l’aide d’une clé (clé de 12).
Remontez la nouvelle lame d dans l’ordre inverse. Veillez à ce que la lame d soit correctement positionnée et que la vis de la lame s soit bien serrée.
Réajuster le câble
REMARQUE
Si le câble de commande s’est allongé avec le temps, utilisez une clé six pans pour resserrer la fixation du câble.
Stockage (voir fig. K)
Desserrez les quatre sauterelles 3 et repliez la poignée étrier 1 et les longerons inférieurs 6 pour que l’appareil prenne moins de place. Le câble de l’appareil u ne doit pas être coincé lors de cette opération.
­ Rangez l’appareil : au sec,
­ hors de portée des enfants.
Laissez le moteur refroidir avant de ranger l’appareil dans un local fermé.
Retirez la batterie de l’appareil avant un stockage prolongé (par ex. hivernage).
Avant le stockage, assurez-vous que le bac à herbe est propre et exempt de débris. Si nécessaire, nettoyez avec une brosse douce et sèche.

Mise au rebut
Ne jetez pas les outils électriques dans les ordures ménagères ! Le symbole ci-contre, d’une poubelle barrée sur roues, indique que cet appareil doit respecter la directive 2012/19/EU. Cette directive stipule que vous ne devez pas éliminer cet appareil en fin de vie avec les ordures ménagères, mais le rapporter aux points de collecte, aux centres de recyclage ou aux entreprises de gestion des déchets spécialement équipés à cet effet. Ce recyclage est gratuit. Respectez l’environnement et recyclez en bonne et due forme.

Ne jetez pas les accus dans les ordures ménagères !
Directive 2006/66/CE. Déposez le pack d’accus et/ou l’appareil auprès des points de collecte existants. Les piles/batteries doivent être traitées comme des déchets spéciaux devant être obligatoirement recyclés dans le respect de l’environnement par les entités correspondantes (commerçants, revendeurs spécialisés, services municipaux, entreprises de recyclage professionnel). Les piles/batteries peuvent contenir des métaux lourds toxiques.
Par conséquent, ne jetez pas les piles/batteries dans les ordures ménagères, rapportez-les au contraire à un point de collecte séparé. Ne rapportez les piles/batteries qu’à l’état déchargé.
L’emballage est constitué de matériaux écologiques que vous pouvez recycler par le biais des services de recyclage locaux.
Éliminez lemballage dune manière respectueuse de lenvironnement. Observez le marquage sur les différents matériaux demballage et triez-les séparément si nécessaire. Cet appareil est garanti 3 ans à partir de la date d’achat. S’ils sont compris dans la livraison, les blocs-batteries de la série X12V et X20V Team sont également garantis 3 ans à compter de la date d’achat. Si ce produit venait à présenter des vices, vous disposez de droits légaux face au vendeur de ce produit. Vos droits légaux ne sont pas restreints par notre garantie présentée ci-dessous.
Conditions de garantie La période de garantie débute à la date d’achat. Veuillez bien conserver le ticket de caisse. Celui-ci servira de preuve d’achat.
Si dans un délai de trois ans suivant la date d’achat de ce produit, un vice de matériel ou de fabrication venait à apparaître, le produit sera réparé, remplacé gratuitement par nos soins ou le prix d’achat remboursé, selon notre choix. Cette prestation sous garantie nécessite, dans le délai de trois ans, la présentation de l’appareil défectueux et du justificatif d’achat (ticket de caisse) ainsi que la description brève du vice et du moment de son apparition.
Si le vice est couvert par notre garantie, vous recevrez le produit réparé ou un nouveau produit en retour. Aucune nouvelle période de garantie ne débute avec la réparation ou l’échange du produit.
Période de garantie et réclamation légale pour vices cachés L’exercice de la garantie ne prolonge pas la période de garantie. Cette disposition s’applique également aux pièces remplacées ou réparées. Les dommages et vices éventuellement déjà présents à l’achat doivent être signalés immédiatement après le déballage. Toute réparation survenant après la période sous garantie fera l’objet d’une facturation.

Étendue de la garantie L’appareil a été fabriqué avec soin conformément à des directives de qualité strictes et consciencieusement contrôlé avant sa livraison.
La prestation de la garantie s’applique aux vices de matériel et de fabrication. L’étendue de la garantie ne couvre pas les pièces du produit qui sont exposées à une usure normale et peuvent de ce fait être considérées comme pièces d’usure, comme p. ex. les lames de scie, les lames de rechange, les papiers abrasifs, etc., ni aux détériorations de pièces fragiles, p. ex. interrupteurs ou pièces en verre.
Cette garantie devient caduque si le produit est détérioré, utilisé ou entretenu de manière non conforme. Toutes les instructions listées dans le manuel d’utilisation doivent être exactement respectées pour une utilisation conforme du produit. Des buts d’utilisation et actions qui sont déconseillés dans le manuel d’utilisation, ou dont vous êtes avertis doivent également être évités.

Inleiding
Hartelijk gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van uw nieuwe apparaat. U hebt hiermee gekozen voor een hoogwaardig product. De gebruiksaanwijzing maakt deel uit van dit product. Hij bevat belangrijke aanwijzingen voor de veiligheid, het gebruik en het afvoeren van dit product. Lees alle bedienings- en veiligheidsaanwijzingen voordat u het product in gebruik neemt. Gebruik het product uitsluitend op de voorgeschreven wijze en voor de aangegeven doeleinden. Geef alle documenten mee als u het product overdraagt aan een derde.
Gebruik in overeenstemming met de bestemming
Het apparaat is alleen bestemd voor het maaien van gazons en grasvelden in de woonomgeving. Het apparaat is bestemd voor thuisgebruik. Het is niet bestemd voor continu bedrijfsmatig gebruik. Bij bedrijfsmatig gebruik vervalt de garantie. Elk ander gebruik dat in deze gebruiksaanwijzing niet uitdrukkelijk wordt toegestaan, kan schade aan het apparaat veroorzaken en tot ernstig gevaar voor de gebruiker leiden. Het apparaat is alleen bestemd voor gebruik door volwassenen. Kinderen en personen die niet vertrouwd zijn met deze gebruiksaanwijzing, mogen het apparaat niet gebruiken. Het is niet toegestaan het apparaat te gebruiken als het regent en in vochtige omgevingen. De fabrikant aanvaardt geen aansprakelijkheid voor schade die voortvloeit uit oneigenlijk gebruik of door een verkeerde bediening. Het apparaat is onderdeel van de serie X 20 V TEAM van Parkside en kan met accu’s van de X 20 V TEAM serie van Parkside worden gebruikt. Accu’s uit de serie X 20 V TEAM van Parkside mogen alleen met opladers uit de serie X 20 V TEAM van Parkside worden opgeladen.

1. Veiligheid op de werkplek

2. Elektrische veiligheid
a) De stekker van het elektrische gereedschap moet in het stopcontact passen. De stekker mag op geen enkele wijze worden veranderd. Gebruik geen verloopstekker in combinatie met geaarde elektrische gereedschappen. Onveranderde stekkers en passende stopcontacten verminderen het risico op elektrische schokken.
b) Voorkom lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken, zoals buizen, verwarmingen, fornuizen en koelkasten. Er bestaat een verhoogd risico op een elektrische schok als uw lichaam geaard is.
c) Houd elektrisch gereedschap uit de buurt van regen of vocht. Als er water in een elektrisch gereedschap binnendringt, bestaat er verhoogd risico op een elektrische schok.
d) Gebruik het snoer niet voor oneigenlijke doeleinden, bijvoorbeeld om het elektrische gereedschap te dragen, om het gereedschap op te hangen of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te trekken. Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie, scherpe randen of bewegende onderdelen. Beschadigde of in de war geraakte snoeren verhogen de kans op een elektrische schok.
e) Gebruik bij het werken met elektrisch gereedschap in de open lucht verlengsnoeren die ook geschikt zijn voor gebruik buiten. Het gebruik van een verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik buiten, vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
f) Gebruik een aardlekschakelaar als het gebruik van het elektrische gereedschap in een vochtige omgeving onvermijdelijk is. Het gebruik van een aardlekschakelaar vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.

3. Veiligheid van personen
a) Wees alert, let op wat u doet en gebruik uw gezond verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap gebruikt. Gebruik geen elektrisch gereedschap als u moe bent of onder invloed bent van drugs, alcohol of medicijnen. Eén moment van onoplettendheid kan bij het gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap al tot ernstig letsel leiden.
b) Draag persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen en draag altijd een veiligheidsbril. Het dragen van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen zoals een stofmasker, antislipveiligheidsschoenen, een veiligheidshelm of gehoorbescherming, afhankelijk van het type en het gebruik van het elektrische gereedschap, vermindert het risico op letsel.
c) Voorkom onbedoelde inschakeling. Zorg ervoor dat het elektrische gereedschap is uitgeschakeld voordat u het aansluit op de netvoeding en/of de accu, het optilt of draagt. Als u bij het dragen van elektrisch gereedschap uw vinger op de aan-uitknop houdt of als u een reeds ingeschakeld elektrisch gereedschap op de netvoeding aansluit, kan dit tot ongelukken leiden.
d) Verwijder het afstelgereedschap of de sleutel voordat u het elektrische gereedschap aanzet. Gereedschappen of moersleutels die zich in een draaiend onderdeel van het elektrische gereedschap bevinden, kunnen letsel veroorzaken.
e) Voorkom een abnormale lichaamshouding. Zorg dat u stabiel staat en altijd uw evenwicht bewaart. Op die manier kunt u het elektrische gereedschap in onverwachte situaties beter onder controle houden.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen wijde kleding of sieraden. Houd haar en kleding uit de buurt van bewegende onderdelen. Loszittende kleding, sieraden of haren kunnen door bewegende onderdelen gegrepen worden.
g) Als stofafzuigings- en opvangvoorzieningen kunnen worden bevestigd, moeten deze worden aangesloten en correct worden gebruikt. Het gebruik van een stofafzuiging kan risico’s door stof beperken.

h) Laat u niet misleiden door een vals gevoel van veiligheid en negeer de veiligheidsregels voor elektrisch gereedschap niet, ook niet als u na veelvuldig gebruik vertrouwd bent met het elektrische gereedschap. Onoplettendheid kan in een fractie van een seconde tot ernstig letsel leiden.
4. Gebruik en behandeling van het elektrische gereedschap
a) Voorkom overbelasting van het elektrische gereedschap. Gebruik voor uw werkzaamheden het daarvoor bedoelde elektrische gereedschap. Met een passend elektrisch gereedschap werkt u beter en veiliger in het aangegeven vermogensbereik.
b) Gebruik geen elektrisch gereedschap waarvan de aan-uitknop defect is. Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet meer kan worden aan- of uitgezet, is gevaarlijk en moet worden gerepareerd.
c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact en/of verwijder de afneembare accu voordat u instellingen aan het apparaat verricht, opzetgereedschappen verwisselt of het elektrische gereedschap weglegt. Deze voorzorgsmaatregel voorkomt dat het elektrische gereedschap onbedoeld kan worden gestart.
d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap buiten het bereik van kinderen op wanneer het niet in gebruik is. Zorg ervoor dat het elektrische gereedschap niet wordt gebruikt door personen die er niet mee vertrouwd zijn of die deze instructies niet hebben gelezen. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk als het door onervaren personen wordt gebruikt.
e) Onderhoud elektrisch gereedschap en hulpstukken zorgvuldig. Controleer of bewegende onderdelen naar behoren werken en niet klemmen en of er geen onderdelen gebroken of zodanig beschadigd zijn dat de werking van het elektrische gereedschap wordt aangetast. Laat beschadigde onderdelen vóór de ingebruikname van het elektrische gereedschap repareren. Veel ongelukken zijn het gevolg van slecht onderhoud van elektrisch gereedschap.

f) Houd snijgereedschappen scherp en schoon. Met zorg onderhouden snijgereedschappen met scherpe snijkanten lopen minder vaak vast en zijn gemakkelijker te sturen.
g) Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap, hulpstukken en dergelijke in overeenstemming met deze instructies. Houd daarbij rekening met de werkomstandigheden en de te verrichten werkzaamheden. Het gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap voor andere doeleinden dan de beoogde toepassingen kan tot gevaarlijke situaties leiden.
h) Houd handgrepen en greepvlakken droog, schoon en vrij van olie en vet. Bij gladde handgrepen en grijpvlakken is een veilige bediening en beheersing van het elektrische gereedschap in onvoorziene situaties niet mogelijk.
5. Gebruik en behandeling van het accugereedschap
a) Laad de accu’s uitsluitend op met een oplader die door de fabrikant wordt aanbevolen. Er bestaat brandgevaar als een oplader die voor een bepaald type accu’s bestemd is, voor andere accu’s wordt gebruikt.
b) Gebruik alleen de daarvoor bestemde accu’s in de elektrische apparaten. Het gebruik van andere accu’s kan tot verwondingen en brandgevaar leiden.
c) Houd de niet-gebruikte accu uit de buurt van paperclips, munten, sleutels, spijkers, schroeven en andere kleine metalen voorwerpen die een overbrugging van de contacten kunnen veroorzaken. Kortsluiting tussen de accucontacten kan leiden tot brandwonden of brand.
d) Bij onjuist gebruik kan er vloeistof uit de accu lekken. Vermijd het contact ermee. Spoel bij onbedoeld contact weg met water. Raadpleeg bovendien een arts als er vloeistof in de ogen komt. Lekkende accuvloeistof kan leiden tot huidirritatie of brandwonden.

e) Gebruik geen beschadigde of gemodificeerde accu. Beschadigde of gemodificeerde accu’s kunnen zich onvoorspelbaar gedragen en leiden tot brand, explosies of letselgevaar.
f) Stel een accu niet bloot aan vuur of te hoge temperaturen. Vuur of temperaturen boven 130 °C (265 °F) kunnen een explosie veroorzaken.
g) Neem alle aanwijzingen voor het opladen in acht en laad de accu of het accugereedschap nooit op buiten het in de gebruiksaanwijzing aangegeven temperatuurbereik. Bij verkeerd opladen of opladen buiten het toegestane temperatuurbereik kan de accu stukgaan en kan het brandgevaar toenemen.
VOORZICHTIG! EXPLOSIEGEVAAR! Laad niet-oplaadbare accu’s nooit op.
Bescherm de accu tegen hitte, bijv. van continu zonlicht, en tegen vuur, water en vocht. Er bestaat explosiegevaar.
6. Service a) Laat uw elektrisch gereedschap alleen door
gekwalificeerde vakmensen en uitsluitend met originele vervangingsonderdelen repareren. Op die manier blijft de veiligheid van het elektrische gereedschap gewaarborgd.
b) Pleeg nooit onderhoud aan beschadigde accu’s. Onderhoudswerkzaamheden aan accu’s mogen uitsluitend worden uitgevoerd door de fabrikant of een bevoegde klantenservice.
Veiligheidsvoorschriften voor grasmaaiers a) Gebruik de grasmaaier niet bij slecht
weer, vooral niet bij onweer. Dit vermindert het risico om door de bliksem te worden getroffen.
b) Inspecteer het werkgebied grondig op wilde dieren. Wilde dieren kunnen gewond raken door de werkende grasmaaier.

c) Inspecteer het werkgebied grondig en verwijder alle stenen, stokken, draden, botten en andere oneigenlijke voorwerpen. Wegge
