Overview
The shutdown procedure guide is a step-by-step guide in shutting down a standard 3Phase Hybrid inverter range after commissioning.
Step 1 – Switch off AC to and AC from inverter.
The Inverter HMI indicator light will turn orange (indicating a grid loss)
(warning) status- Refer to image 1.1
Step 2 – Switch off the battery.
Once the inverter senses the battery has been switched off in accordance to
the battery manufactures shutdown of the battery, the battery icon on the
inverter will turn orange (warning status) Refer to image 2.1
Step 1- Switch off the AC to inverter AC to inverter is now switched off

1.2 The inverter will be in back up mode at this stage. You would then need to
follow Step 2 by switching off the battery as per manufacturer guide. Image

Step 2- Switch off the battery The battery icon will turn orange.
Switching of the battery will be dependent on the manufacture’s shutdown
procedure.| Step 3- Switch the PV DC isolator switch, if Solar has been
installed. DC Isolator must be installed before the strings are connected to
the inverter. Suggestion to install one as per the SANS 10142 regulation 6.9.3
Test before switching the DC Switch off as below steps,
- Measure with a clamp tester that the max current on the string is below 0,5A
- If the current is higher than this DO NOT operate the inverter DC switch as this will cause dc switch failure and serious inverter damage.
