Preface
Please read this manual before you start. Don’t start reading this after you
made a mistake. Yes, we know that this is the way allot of people work.
Luckily not you, we have trust in you. Especially now you’ve already read
this. You are the responsible one.
To be honest, allot of the stuff in here is common sense. We expect that most
of the safety measures and procedures described in this file, are already
common knowledge. Don’t start installing without the proper training.
We will stay out of the regular installation safety measures in each country.
We know some of the other installers don’t follow them, but we expect it that
you do! Combine the country specific regulations on safety measures on staff,
with this installation manual. If you fall off a roof, you can’t buy Ibex
anymore. So, be safe.
This manual is only applicable to the installation of Ibex-Mounting Flat Landscape Kit. Unless approved by Ibex-Mounting this manual is not allowed to be applied to any scene except Ibex-Mounting Flat Landscape Kit installation. Don’t try to use this on your cabinet! We know that “The Netherlands” is relatively close to “Scandinavia”. I mean, compared to Japan or something, but the Scandinavians know better than we do how to build their cabinet. Follow their manual on those things.
Something really important:
This installation manual contains the basis of all the needed installation
steps, operation tips, minimum accuracy requirements and the other basics that
you would expect with an instal-lation manual of mounting materials. These are
the basics, so if you don’t follow this manual, we don’t accept any
responsibility for system failure or degradation of the materials. Don’t
combine the Ibex-Mounting components with components from other sources.
Always fol-low the regulations on safety measures of the country you’re
installing in, or if not available in that area: the European regulations on
safety measures when using Ibex-Mounting.
If you or your colleagues find out “better” ways to install Ibex-Mounting,
please let us doublecheck and approve it before you apply it. If we don’t
approve it, please just follow this manual.
Please read this manual carefully before starting with the installation.

Note:
- The installation torque value of the above fasteners is the torque value recommended by our company. When installing, we should also pay attention to the following two points in combination with the recommended torque value:
- When installing, visually lock the bolt until the elastic EPDM becomes flat;
- During installation, the tapping nail shall be locked to the transparent plastic washer/ composite washer and the tapping nail head until there is no gap be tween the tapping nail head and the profile.
How to install
Adjustment and installation of preassembly of ballast bottom beam
-
Installation EPDM block
Tear off the release film (also known as release paper or anti-sticking paper) at the glue back on one side of the EPDM rubber block, and bond and fix the glue side with the correspond-ing bottom beam.
Unfold the ballast bottom beam pre-assembly combination, and fix the EPDM rubber block at the bottom of the bottom beam of the ballast bottom beam pre- assembly combination, and the fixed position is below the front support combination and the rear support combi-nation, and the specific dimensions correspond to the actual project.
Note:
The side walls of the bottom beam and the side walls of the EPDM rubber block should be flush, pressed and ensured that they are bonded and will not fall off. -
Adjusted support combination (adjusted to 15°°, if no skip)
Loosen the two M6 bolts on the back of the 10°° rear leg, take out the extended support part and assemble it, and fix the lower and middle parts with two M6 bolts, and the middle and upper parts with two M6 bolts. The follow-up installation steps take 10° design as an example, and the installation steps of 15° design are the same
Note: -
Pay attention to confirm the post-support angle according to the actual project design requirements.
-
The bolts for fixing the rear support combination and the bottom beam shall be locked and fixed after being adjusted according to the specifications of the components when installing the components.
-
Installation of bottom beam connectors
Pre-loosen two M6 bolts at the corresponding positions of the bottom beam connector(not all of them should be loosened), then slide half of the ballast bottom beam connector into the ballast bottom beam and lock the bolts; Then slide another ballast bottom beam into the ballast bottom beam connector combination, so that the two bottom beams are flush to the top, and lock the bolts on the other side.
Note:
Two adjacent bottom beams should be tightly fastened, and the side notches may be on different sides according to the different forms of the frame, which can be used under the condition of ensuring correct installation. According to the differ-ent location and arrangement, it is necessary to refer to the installation methods corresponding to different subsequent locations.
Warning:
It is necessary to ensure that bolts puncture the surface of bottom beams to achieve the effect of conducting adjacent bottom beams. -
Installation of grounding lug (if no skip)
On the side wall of the end of the installed ballast bottom beam, combine and fix the grounding lug to the bottom beam with self-tapping nails, and pay attention to ensure that the conductive sheet pierces the bottom beam and grounding lug
Complete installation drawing of grounding lug. Connect the corresponding grounding lug combination with grounding wire, and connect the grounding wire to the grounding system of the roof. The installation method shown in the diagram is for reference only, please refer to the actual project construction . -
Installation of C steel
According to the construction drawings of the corresponding project, place the installed bottom beam and support at the corresponding position, and align the corresponding notch of C steel with the chute of ballast bottom beam; Take out the rotating clamp and put it into the notch, and then rotate it 90 degrees. Pay attention to the orientation of C steel, and en-sure that the uniform C-port is facing up, which is convenient for the installation of rotating clamps, as shown in the following figure.
C steel and ballast bottom beam notch alignment schematic rotary clamp alignment notch schematic The rotating clamp is put into the notch, indicating that the rotating clamp rotates and fixes the C steel
Note: -
During installation, check whether the rotating clamp is clamped into the notch of ballast bottom beam, and then rotate clockwise for 90 degrees to clamp the C steel.
-
The spacing between two C-shaped steels can be adjusted according to the cement block size of the actual project site before fixing.
C steel installation completion drawing (single orientation)
Installation of cement block
Place a corresponding number of concrete piers on the C steel (subject to the
actual project) to achieve a fixed arrangement.
Installation of photovoltaic modules
Pre-loosen the side pressing blocks on the front support assembly and the rear
support assembly (not completely loosened), and pre-loosen the fixed clamping
blocks on the front support assembly (not completely loosened).
Install one end of the assembly into the side press block on the rear support assembly, then slide the front support assembly to clip the front support assembly into the corresponding position, lock the bolts (M8) of the rear support assembly on the bottom beam and the bolts (M6) of the front support assembly to fix the bottom beam, adjust the position of the side press block, and finally lock the bolts (M6) on all the side press blocks.

Installation dimension description
The specific dimensions involved in engineering installation shall be subject
to the engineering construction drawing, and it is necessary to ensure that
the installation dimensions conform to the corresponding engineering
construction drawing. This installation instruction is only used to explain
the installation method of products.
Description of fastening parts
Because stainless steel has good ductility, it is essentially different from
carbon steel. Improper use will lead to the bolt and nut can not be unscrewed
after matching. That is, “lock to death” is commonly known as “bite to death”.
Prevention of locking mainly includes the following aspects:
-
Reduced coefficient of friction
-
The bolt threads should be clean and tidy. (No dust, gravel, sundries, etc.)
-
Yellow wax or lubricant (such as butter and 40 # engine oil) is recommended for installation
-
Correct operation method
-
It must be screwed perpendicular to the axis of the thread and must not be tilted.
(Do not fasten obliquely) -
In the process of tightening, the force must be uniform.
-
Choose torque wrench or socket wrench as much as possible, and avoid using movable wrench or electric wrench; Use the electric wrench and try to lower the speed.
-
Avoid using at high temperature, do not rotate quickly when using, and avoid locking caused by rapid temperature rise; (E.g. using an electric wrench, etc.)
