  • Part# DK-811889R RR – Passenger Rear Shock

Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Remove Rear Shocks

  • Remove lower shock hardware.
  • Remove upper shock hardware.
  • Remove shock from the vehicle.

Note: Do not discard hardware.

Step 2: Reservoir Mount Install

  • Bolt reservoir mount to the frame with the factory bolt. Torque to 35ft lbs.
  • On the right side of the vehicle, use the mount as a template to drill a 7/16 hole. Alternatively, if you prefer not to drill a hole, you can secure the mount using a hose clamp. On the left side of the vehicle, the mount will use factory holes.
  • Use the provided hardware to finish mounting the bracket to the frame. Torque hardware to 41ft lbs.

Step 3: Install Dirt King Shock

  • Install shock into the upper mount, ensure the shock is centered in the mount, and torque hardware to 18 ft-lbs. The reservoir hose on the left side of the vehicle should be routed toward the front of the vehicle. The reservoir hose on the right side of the vehicle should be routed toward the rear of the vehicle.
  • Install lower shock hardware and torque to 43 ft-lbs.

Important:
The upper mount must be installed and torqued to spec before installing to the lower mount.

Step 4: Mount Shock Reservoir

  • Install shock reservoir into mount. Close clamps to secure in place.
  • Torque socket head bolts to 12 ft-lbs.

Step 5: Inspect your work

  • Thoroughly go over your work.
  • Repeat steps for the opposite side of the vehicle.
  • Reinstall wheels and torque lug nuts to your wheel manufacturer’s specs.
