Product Usage Instructions

Mains Input Connection:

Wire the mains input supply according to the diagram provided. Ensure proper connection of Live permanent, Live switched, Earth, and Neutral wires.

Color Temperature and Power Settings:

Use the selector switch to choose the preferred color temperature (3000K, 4000K, or 5700K) and adjust power settings based on the table provided for non-dimmable and DALI dimming\ variants.

Installation Steps:

  1. Rotate security locks to release end cap (fig.1).
  2. Pull end cap away to access diffuser and remove it (fig.2).
  3. Mark and drill mounting holes in the ceiling.
  4. Feed mains input cable through the base and secure the luminaire to the ceiling.
  5. Connect mains supply and DALI dimming controls as needed.
  6. Reattach the diffuser and secure it in place (fig.3, fig.4, fig.5).
  7. Turn on the power supply and check for correct operation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Read instructions and check that you have all of the tools and accessories required to complete the installation correctly. Isolate power supply before starting the installation.

ALWAYS ISOLATE POWER BEFORE CHANGING COLOUR TEMPERATURE OR WATTAGE

SELECT THE PREFERRED CCT BY USING THE SELECTOR SWITCH

SELECT PREFERRED POWER SETTING USING THE TABLES BELOW

  1. Rotate the two security locks on the one end of the fitting to release the end cap shown in fig. 1.
  2. The end caps are sprung loaded, pull the end cap away from the body to access the diffuser. Once you can access the diffuser lift up and out of the fitting by pulling out of the opposite end cap as shown in fig.2.
  3. Using the main body as a template mark and drill mounting holes in the ceiling in a suitable location.
  4. Feed mains input cable through cable entry on the base of the unit. Secure luminaire to the ceiling and terminate the mains supply for standard or emergency version as indicated to the left and connect DALI dimming controls where required.
  5. Refit the diffuser by sliding the end of inside of the locked end cap as shown in fig.3.
  6. Pull the unlocked end cap away from the body and lay the diffuser into the body, release the end cap to secure the diffuser as shown in fig.4.
  7. Rotate the the security locks to secure the end cap in place shown in fig.5.
  8. Turn on power supply and check for correct operation.

Detection Area

Sensor data can be set using DIP switches on the sensor. The settings are as follows:

Hold Time

Refers to the time period the lamp remains at 100% illumination after no motion detected.

Daylight Sensor

  1. 2lux
    (darkness operation only)

  2. 10lux
    (darkness operation only)

  3. 25lux
    (twilight operation only)

  4. 50lux
    (twilight operation only)

  5. Disable*

The sensor can be set to only allow the lamp to illuminate below a defined ambient brightness threshold.
*When set to Disable mode, the daylight sensor will switch on the lamp when motion is detected regardless of ambient light level.

Override function

Quick switch ON/OFF 3 times within 2sec to override sensor function. Lights will switch on all the time. Power off and on again to recover sensor function.

Commissioning

After powering on, the sensor automatically turns on light at 100% brightness. After 10sec, it turns off the light.
During the initialization, the sensor is not able to detect movement.

Factory settings

Detection Area: 100%, Hold Time: 5S, Daylight Sensor: Disable

Emergency range routine inspection and test

All tests must be undertaken at times of least risk and in accordance with EN 50172:2004 as indicated below:

General Information

All emergency lighting systems should comply with the recommendations of BS5266-1: Code of Practice for the Emergency Lighting of Premises and be installed by competent engineers in accordance with the relevant wiring regulations. Before installing any type of Emergency Lighting always seek the advice and approval of the local Fire Prevention Officer (or equivalent authority).

Maintenance

Failed or faulty light sources connected to this equipment should be replaced immediately. These units are designed especially for a long and trouble free life. Under normal conditions, will require no routine maintenance or service beyond the inspection and test regime of BS5266-1. Both mains supply and battery protection fusing is incorporated internally. Should access to these or any other part of the circuitry be required this must be undertaken only by suitably qualified person. Special care must be taken when removing the cover to circuitry and battery. Only replacement components authorised by the company must be used. Disposal of replaced components should be in accordance with the component manufacturers instructions.
