Maintenance

Noise Inside the Unit!
You may notice that your unit makes some unusual noises. Most of these are perfectly normal, but you should be aware of them! These noises are caused by the circulation of the refrigerant liquid in the cooling system. It has become more pronounced since the introduction of CFC-free gases. This is not a fault and will not affect the performance of your unit. This is the compressor motor working, as it pumps the refrigerant around the system.

Change the Light Bulb (if exists)
The LED lamp must be replaced by a thorized service. Please contact an authorized service or manufacturer.

Cleaning

Please unplug the Freezer for defrost and cleaning Dusts behind the freezer and on the ground shall be timely cleaned to improve the cooling effect and energy saving. The interior of the freezer should be cleaned regularly to avoid odor. Soft towels or sponges dipped in water and non-corrosive neutral detergents are suggested for cleaning. The freezer shall be finally cleaned with clear water androgyny cloth. Open the door for natural drying before the power is turned on.

  • Remove all the shelves.
  • Wipe the inside of the unit with a weak solution of bicarbonate soda and then rinse with warm water using a “wrung-out” sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the shelves and salad bin.
  • Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior, and then wipe with a standard furniture polish.
  • Make sure that the door is closed to avoid the polish getting on the magnetic door seal or inside the unit.
  • The grille of the condenser (if exexistsat the back of the unit and the adjacent components can be vacuumed using a soft brush attachment.

Cleaning Tips
Condensation may appear on the outside of the unit. This may be due to a change in room temperature. Wipe off moisture residue. In the summer months, with high temperatures and humidity in the air, a certain amount of ice can accumulate along the inner edges of the freezer. This is a normal phenomenon. In such conditions, do not open the freezer door unless necessary, and remove the excessive amount of ice.

If the problem continues, please contact a qualified technician for assistance. Do not use hard brushes, clean steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives, such as toothpaste organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, acid,  or alkaline items clean refrigerator considering that this may damage the fridge surface and interior. Do not rinse with water so as not to affect the electrical insulation properties. Please use a dry cloth when cleaning lighting lamps, temperature controlknobs, b, and electrical components.

Defrost
Defrost the freezing compartment whenever the layer of frost on the surface of the evaporator reaches 3 or 4 mm.

  1. Set the thermostat tat at the “OFF” position and disconnect the freezer from the air supply.
  2. Remove drawers with frozen food, Store frozen food in a cold place.
  3. Open the outflow holes and drainage holes; indoor doors will naturally melt,
  4. Wipe the water with a dry, soft cloth.
  5. You can use an ice scraper to remove frosting/ice after the frost has melted, discard the melted water, and clean the interior.
  6. Dry up the interior.
  7. Put drawer-basket into the apartment and put back frozen foods.
  8. Plug in the freezer on the main supply and turn the thermostat to the desired setting. It is recommended that you use frozen food as soon as possible Do not use metal utensils or electric heater for defrost so as not to damage e the appliance.
  9. Please remove the food and put it in a cool place when defrosting before removing drawers and other accessories.

Switching Off for Long Periods of Time
Foods can be preserved for a couple of hours even in summer in case of power failure; it is recommended to reduce the frequency of opening the door and not put fresh foods into the freezer. When the unit is not in use for a long peperioddisconnect it from the main supply, empty all food, and clean the appliance. Keep the door open to avoid the bad odor. Continuous operation is recommended when the freezer is started. Please do not move the freezer under normal circumstances so as not to affect the refrigerator’s service life.

Frequently asked questions

The following simple issues can be handled by the user. Please call the after- sale service department if the issues are not settled.

Unit is not work

| Whether the freezer is plugged and connected to power; Low voltage;

Failure of power or tripping circuit

---|---

Odor

| Odorous foods should be closely wrapped; Whether foods are rotten;

Whether the interior shall be cleaned

Foods in the refrigerating chamber are frozen| Whether the thermostat is over-adjusted; Whether foods containing water are put inside the glass partition.

Long-term operation of the compressor

| Normally, the refrigerator operates for a longer time in summer when the ambient temperature is higher; Do not put too much food in the freezer at one time; Do not put foods until they are cooled;

Frequent opening of the refrigerator door. Thick frost layer (defrost is needed)

The refrigerator door cannot be properly closed.|

The freezer door is stuck by food packages; Too much food; Tilt the refrigerator.

Loud noises

| Whether the food is leveled, whether the refrigerator is balanced;

Whether the refrigerator parts are properly placed.

Warm tips

  • The freezer enclosure may emit heat during operation, especially in summer, this is caused by the radiation of the condenser, and it is a normal phenomenon.
  • Condensation: The condensation phenomenon will be detected on the exterior surface and door seals of the freezer when the ambient humidity is large, this is a normal phenomenon, and the condensation can be wiped away with a dry towel.
  • Airflow sound: Refrigerants circulating in the refrigerant lines will produce an eruption of sound and grunts which is normal and does not affect the cooling effect.
  • Buzz: Buzz will be generated by running compressor especially when starting up or shutting down.
  • Clatter: The solenoid valve or electric switch valve will clatter which is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the operation.
  • Due to the humid and warm environment, ice may accumulate at the edges of the freezer compartment. It’s normal. If necessary, remove the accumulated ice or defrost according to the instructions.
  • During such weather conditions, avoid opening the door
    frequently.

Tips for Energy savings
Try not to open the door too often, especially when the weather is wet and hot. Once you open the door, close it as soon as possible. Now and then check if the appliance is sufficiently ventilated (adequate air circulation behind the appliance). In normal temperature conditions, please arrange the thermostat in the middle setting. Before loading the appliance with packages of fresh food, make sure they are cooled to ambient temperature. Ice and frost layers increase energy consumption, so clean the appliance as soon as the layer is 3-5 mm thick. If it is the outer condenser, the rear wall should be always clean and free of dust or any impurities.

  • The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-producing appliances or heating ducts, and out of direct sunlight.
  • Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing them in the appliance.
  • Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run longer.
  • Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality, or spoil.
  • Be sure to wrap foods properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them in the appliance. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the appliance.
  • The appliance storage bin should not be lined with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper towels. Liners interfere with cold air circulation, making the appliance less efficient.
  • Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches.
  • Remove as many items as needed at one time, and close the door as soon as possible.
