SETTINGS

Xblitz R5 Power has two settings you can configure to avoid over-discharging the vehicle’s battery when the vehicle is parked – Parking Timer Delay and Battery Drain Cut-Oj. R5 Power will cut the power supply to the connected devices oj based on whichever setting activates first. Parking Timer Delay can be set for m 5 minutes to infinity. In addition to the timer, you can set battery drain cut-oy voltage. As soon as your parked vehicle’s battery voltage drops to the set cut-0j value, R5 Power will stop powering your devices, saving your vehicle’s battery R5 Power will cut the power output oj at the end of the time set by the Parking Timer Delay setting, even if the battery voltage is still higher than the Battery Drain Cut-Oij setting.

R5 Power will cut the power output oj then the battery voltage drops to the value set by Battery Drain Cut-Oj setting, even if it the time set by Parking Timer Delay did not pass yet  Thanks to those two settings, you never have to worry about your vehicle’s battery dying when your vehicle is parked.

PROTECTION FROM OVERHEATING

  1. R5 Power has a built-in temperature sensor, which measures the temperature of the wiring to protect R5 Power and your vehicle; if the wiring reaches a temperature above 90 C, R5 Power will automatically cut the power supply oğ; when the temperature falls beneath 90°C, R5 Power will automatically resume working.

PROTECTION FROM OVER-DISCHARGE
Please set the cut-or voltage value according to the temperature and how much of the battery’s capacity should be consumed before R5 Power cuts oj the powered output. Here is a chart for your reference (specifics may differ for dijerent batteries).

For example
If the environment temperature is 100’F (38’C) and assuming you want to keep 50 of your car’s battery capacity to remain when R5 Power cuts the output oj, you should set the device to cut power output oj at the 12.2V setting (i.e. above the 12.192 voltage fro m the chart). For a regular 50 Wh lead-acid battery, 50 of battery, consumption supports around 20 hours of dash camera recording. There are 4 protective band settings in R5 Power, which you can switch according to your needs: For a 12V battery, the voltage cut-oj settings are:

  • 1.8V/12.0v/12.2V/12.4V
  • For a 24V battery, the voltage cut-oij settings are:
  • 23.6V/24.0V/24.4V/24.8V
  • 12.2V/24.4V band is recommended for most users in typical working conditions.
