PRECAUTIONS
- Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference.
- After opening the packaging, check that the appliance has not been damaged; if in doubt, call an electrician. The parts of the packaging (plastic boxes, polystyrene, staples, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children as they are dangerous; dispose of them according to the regulations in force.
- Before connecting the device to the power supply, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the value indicated on the device. In case of diversity, replace the plug by an electrician, check also that the cable is suitable for the consumption of the appliance. Do not use adapters or extensions, if necessary, these objects must comply with these safety regulations and their capacity (amperage) must not be less than the maximum value of the appliance.
- This appliance is intended for household use only in accordance with these instructions.
- During use, the appliance becomes very hot: only operate it using the plastic handle and the switches. Do not touch the heating element.
- Do not cover the appliance when it is hot in order to avoid the risk of fire.
- Do not allow children or unqualified persons to use the appliance without assistance.
- Do not touch the appliance with wet hands or feet.
- Do not expose the appliance to rain, sunshine, etc.
- Do not move the appliance and do not pull out the plug when the power cable is found.
- After switching the appliance on and off, the appliance may emit a noise (tripping) due to heating or cooling. This is a normal action and does not indicate a malfunction.
INSTALLATION
- Before use, check that the appliance and the cable are not damaged. In case of doubt, contact an electrician.
- Place the device away from heat sources, flammable materials (curtains, clothes, etc.), flammable gases or explosive materials and heat-sensitive and deformable materials at high temperatures. Leave about one meter of free space in front of the appliance and about 0.5 m on the sides. Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, washbasins or showers to avoid the danger of electric shock. Avoid positions where it can be pushed or damaged.
- Place the appliance on a horizontal and flat surface, do not use inclined surfaces (the appliance could tip over). Make sure that the safety system touches the floor. Otherwise the appliance will not work.
- Make sure that the cable is positioned correctly and that it does not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance. Do not wind the cable around the appliance and do not bend it.
- To avoid the risk of fire, do not use the appliance with a timer or programmer or with an automatic on/off system.
In any case, any repairs must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
USE
- Switch on the appliance and press one switch to position “1” for low power heating at 400W and press the other switch to position “2” for high power heating at 800W.
- To switch off the appliance, press the 2 switches to position “0” and disconnect the plug
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Switch off the appliance and wait for it to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Protect the parabola from dust to preserve its reflective characteristics.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the body of the appliance and avoid abrasive products.
- The protective grille and the net are very delicate, use only a hoover to clean them, taking care not to damage them.
- When the appliance is not in use, cover it and place it in a dry place. It is advisable to use the original packaging to protect the appliance from dust and humidity.
- To replace the cable, a special tool is required: contact an electrician.
Disposal
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC.
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection center or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.
