SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

READ AND SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS FAN

Warning

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of electric shock from fire and injury to persons, including the following. Read all instructions before using the product:

  • The fan is only for intended use as described in this manual. All other uses not recommended in the manual may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • This fan is intended for home use only.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the fan, plug, or cord in water or spray them with liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children..
  • Always unplug the fan when not in use, when moving the fan from one location to another, and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug or after the fan has malfunctioned or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer can be dangerous.
  • Do not use it outdoors.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch any hot surface.
  • To disconnect, hold plug and pull from wall outlet. Never pull on the cord.
  • Do not operate without fan louver in place.
  • Always use on a dry, level surface.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
  • If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn’t fit, contact a qualified electrician.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE OPERATION

  • Do not operate in the presence of explosive or flammable gases.
  • Avoid contact with moving parts. Never insert fingers, pencils or other similar objects through the protector.
  • Do not place the fan or its parts near an open flame, stove or other heating appliances.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from using it safely. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Always unplug the fan before cleaning, simply lift the ring clips on the guards and remove the front guard.
  • Use a soft cloth, moistened with a mild soap, to clean the fan and guard. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not submerge the fan in water and never allow water to soak into the motor component.
  • Do not use gasoline, thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

STEPS:

  1. Unscrew the L-shaped screw (15) from the fan tube (12), remove the spacer and screw.
  2. Install the L-shaped screw with spacer through the hole of the base to connect the pipe, tighten the screw.
  3. Place the base on a dry, level surface. Unscrew the tube nut (11); Pull out the inner tube to the top. (You may have to push up from below to lift it up.)
  4. Install the tube nut and tighten it by turning it clockwise.
  5. Place the fan body (9) on top of the inner tube, tighten the body screw.
  6. Unscrew the grill nut (4) on the front of the motor by turning it counterclockwise.
  7. Mount the rear grill (5) to the front engine cover by matching the 3 holes in the grill with the 3 round positioning knobs on the front engine cover. Push firmly until the 3 knobs protrude through the 3 holes.
  8. Replace and tighten the grill nut (4) by turning it clockwise to hold the rear grill in place.
  9. Place the fan blades (3) on the motor shaft matching the slots on the shafts with the slots on the blades, tighten the Blade to Blade nut (2) by turning it counterclockwise.
  10. Test the fan by turning it with your hands, make sure there is no contact with the nut. The fan blade should rotate freely.
  11. Use 3 screws to install the decorative ring in the middle of the front grill.
  12. Unscrew the grill screw (17) from the front grill.
  13. Mount the front grille (1) to the rear grille (5) by hanging the top hook clip of the front grille over the top of the rear grille. Close the clamps around the grill, finally put the nut on and screw through the hole in the bottom edge of the front grill and tighten.

FUNCTIONS OF OPERATION PANEL

OSCILLATION CONTROL

To make the fan oscillate, press down on the oscillation knob located on top of the motor housing. To stop the fan oscillating, pull up on the oscillation knob when the fan is in the desired position.

FUNCTIONING

  1. Place the fan on a dry, level surface.
  2. Plug the power cord into a standard 220-240V AC wall outlet.
  3. Press the “SPEED/ON” key to set the desired speed “HIG “MED” “LOW”.
  4. Press the “OFF” key to turn off the fan.
  5. Press “SWING” to start or stop the fan head swing.
  6. Press the “MODE” key to switch from normal airflow to “SLEEP” MODE. In “SLEEP MODE”, ALL lights will turn off within 30 seconds, if there is no other operation here.

NOTES ON CLEANING THE FAN:

  3. DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to enter the motor component.

STORAGE

  • For storage, disassemble and clean the fan carefully as instructed and store in its original box. You may leave the fan assembled and covered to protect it from dust. Store the fan in a cool, dry place.
