Product Usage Instructions
Marking and Boring Holes:
Mark the height line on the edge and face of the door. Use the provided template to mark the center points for holes. Bore 2-1/8 inch and 5/16 inch holes ensuring straight holes for proper installation.
Disassembling Inside Trim:
To remove the inside lever and rose, insert the push tool into the lever hole to depress the catch. Slide the lever out and twist off the inside rose. Unscrew and remove the rose insert.
Installing Outside Unit:
Ensure the lock body engages the latch unit prongs and retractor. Install the lock with the door open, making sure the latch unit tailpiece is centered. For locks with securing studs, insert them into prepared holes on the door.
Assembling Inside Trim:
Align the screw holes vertically with the notch in line with the lever latch. Slide the trim onto the tube and align the rose screw holes with the screws provided. Attach the inside rose onto the insert by aligning lances with recesses and turning clockwise to lock.

THIS LOCK IS FACTORY-PACKED 1-3/4″ THICK DOOR
MARK DOOR
Mark the height line on the edge and face of the door. Detach stub of the template and mark the center of door thickness on the height line. Fold template at proper marking for bevel of door (high or low bevel of flat). Position the center line of templates on the height line. Hold in place and mark the center
Point for 2-1/8″ hole. And then the 1″ or 7/8″ hole.
Also, mark for 5/16″ holes for mounting screws.
BORE HOLES
Bore a 2-1/8″ Holes and 5/16″ holes. Boreholes from both sides of the door to avoid splintering wood.
NOTE: We recommend using a drill guide to ensure straight holes. Bore a
1″ or 7/8″ hole straight into the door edge to intersect with the center of
2-1/8″ hole.
Use latch front faceplate to pattern for cut-out. The front should fit flush
with door edge. Install latch with screws provided.

For proper alignment of lock chassis and lever, cut out notched for anchor
plate lugs from both sides of door on horizontal height line. Mortise for
anchor plates on both sides of door (see template).
NOTE: The width of notches should not exceed 1/8″ for snug of anchors.
DISASSEMBLE INSIDE TRIM
- To remove the inside lever 3 . Insert the push tool (provided) into the hole on the lever to depress the lever catch. Slide the lever from the tube. Remove inside rose 4 by slightly twisting counter-clockwise and pulling off.
- Unscrew two#10-32UNF x 1-5/8 L 5 screws and remove rose insert 6
INSTALL OUTSIDE UNIT
The lock body must engage the latch unit prongs as shown. The lock body
retractor must engage the latch unit tailpiece.
The door must be open when installing the locket with a guarded latch unit.
NOTE :
- Be sure the latch unit tailpiece is centered about lock body retractor. Adjust it if necessary by outside plate.
- For the lock with outside securing stud type, slide two outside securing studs into prepared holes on the door.
CAUTION :
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOUNT LOCK UNIT WITH THE DOOR CLOSED.
ASSEMBLE INSIDE TRIM
NOTE :
USE WHITE LONGER SCREWS FOR DOOR THICKER THAN 1-5/8″.
- Position the screw holes vertically with a winder notch at the inside diameter in line with the lever latch. Then slide onto the tube and align rose screw holes with # 10- 32UNF x 1-5/8″L screw 5 . (See note)
- Place inside rose 4 onto inside rose insert 6 aligning two lances with recesses in rose insert 6 and turn clockwise to lock as firmly as possible
- Slide inside lever 3 onto tube. Make certain the lever catch on tube is engaged with lever
