IN GENERAL
The pumps are developed according to the newest stand of technology, manufactured with much care and go under strict intensive controls – each pump is checked individually – rests of the check fluid could be still inside the pump oron the package. The counter (if available) shows more than 0,0 Liter because of that (usually 5-12L). The pumps were optimized by us in particular for their special demands. Make sure after unpacking the pump that the data given on the type label agree with the operating conditions. In the case of doubt the pump is not to be used. Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor and to us in written form. By transport with DHL please contact your local DHL office within 7 days.
RANGES OF APPLICATION
These pumps are made for pumping AdBlue®* ONLY!
IMPORTANT!
They are not suitable for pumping ignitable liquids like gasoline, or
kerosene, or for pumping at places where the danger of an explosion exists.
When using the pump, make sure there are no open flames, lighters, matches,
cigarettes or similar things present around you. When operating suitable
protective gloves must be worn. These pumps are made for pumping clean
AdBlue®* ONLY! The pumped liquid should not contain abrasive components.
Abrasive components reduce pump life.
OPERATION
The installation must be performed by a qualified professional. Please, check each time before using, the electrical connections and the cables are not damaged. Also, it is NOT recommended to perform, for example, a cable extension. It is not certain whether this modification is technically correct, so this warranty is void. It must be ensured that the pump is sufficiently cooled during prolonged operation. AdBlue® pumps are electrical products, which have to be protected against outer influences, f.e. caused by weather. Only use the pump in well-ventilated rooms and areas with enough fresh air. The floor, on which the pump may be used, should be flat. Please keep enough space from walls. Place the AdBlue®-tank as near to the pump as possible. The specified suction lift is the maximum suction at optimal conditions. The suction line to the pump has to be steadily increasing. The pump and the suction pipe must be filled with AdBlue®* before turning „on“ the pump. Do not reduce the cross area of suction and discharge lines. Connect suction and discharge lines to the pump by means of reinforced metal hose. For stationary use please place the pump on rubber pads to reduce vibration transmission to and from the pump and thereby prevent damage caused. The suction and discharge line should be connected to to the pump in souch way, that no mechanical stress on the connections occure. For example, Fix lines by pipe clamps with rubber insert on the wall.
IMPORTANT!
AdBlue®* may not be mixed directly with diesel in any case, because the
chemical is injected from a separate tank into the exhaust system. Where
ammonia is released, which reacts with the nitrogen oxides in the catalyst and
converts to nitrogen and water vapor AdBlue® consists of 32.5% urea and 67.5
of demineralized water. AdBlue is odorless and non-toxic, not flammable,
explosive or dangerous for the environment.
SERVICING
Under normal pumping conditions the pump requires no servicing. But it is
important to keep the suctions and delivery sections perfectly clean and free
from all clogging. The operating conditions and mode of operation must be
designed so that the AdBlue solution can not dry out and crystallize out in
the pump. Before and after each pumping operation, the pump must be rinsed
with clean water so that possible AdBlue residues (salts) do not crystallize
and damage the pump.
The following controls should be carried out regularly:
- Intactness of the electric cable
- That the connection hoses are not bent or broken
- Cleanness of the pump medium
- Deposits in and on the pump
- In addition, the pump should be emptied, dripped with demineralised water and stored dry, in case of frost or during standstill periods longer than 30 minutes.
