Burris RT-1 RT-Series Compact Sights
Compact Sights
Burris RT sights are compact, ‘Close Quarters’ optics made for tactical carbines. Burris RT-1, with its 1x magnification and 2 MOA red dot, provides quick target acquisition for close or fast-moving targets. The RT-3 and RT-5 have illuminated reticles that are perfect for close to medium-range targets and feature easy-to-use bullet drop compensation for accurate shots out to 600 yards.
2 MOA DOT
RT-1 Base
The RT-1 comes with a standard and a high base mount, both of which match the
Trijicon® MRO® footprint.* Select the base that provides the best mounting
height. To remove the base, use the supplied torx wrench to loosen the four
screws on bottom of the sight. The base is symmetrical so there is no special
orientation. Tighten the screws to 15 in-lbs. of torque and you’re ready to
mount the sight on the rail.

Mounting the Optic
Each sight comes factory-ready to mount to a Picatinny rail system. Using the
supplied Torx wrench, loosen the screw(s) on the right side of the base to
open the mount just enough to fit over the width of the rail. Once positioned
on the rail, test for proper eye relief. Once properly located on the rail,
use the wrench to tighten the base screw(s) to 45 in. – lbs.
Reticle Focus Adjustment
The RT-3 and RT-5 have a diopter adjustment ring on the ocular end which is
used to sharpen reticle focus to your preference.
Battery Installation / Replacement
The RT-1, RT-3 and RT-5 are each powered by a single CR 2032 3V lithium
battery. The battery compartment is on the right side of the sight. To open
the compartment, turn the cap counter-clockwise. Drop in the battery with the
positive side (+) face up and re-tighten cap completely. To preserve battery
life, all RT sights are equipped with an Auto-Shut Off. The sight
automatically turns off after 4 hours on the 4 brightest settings and 8 hours
on the 3 night vision settings.
Red Dot / Reticle Illumination Adjustment
To activate the red dot on the RT-1 or illuminate the reticle of the RT-3 or
RT-5, press any button on the top of the sight. Once the dot/reticle is
illuminated, the forward and back buttons can be used to select any of the 7
brightness settings. To turn the sight off, press and hold the rear button on
top of the sight for 4 seconds.
Windage /Elevation Adjustment
The elevation adjustment screw is located on top of the sight. The windage
adjustment screw is located on the right side of the sight. Use a small
screwdriver to adjust point of aim up and down or left and right. Arrows on
the dial indicate direction of movement.
