Getting started

  • Open the battery compartment cover and insert 2 AAA batteries according to the correct polarity. Close the cover.
  • Use the knob switch (3) to turn the device on and to select the required operation mode. To turn the device off, turn the knob switch to the OFF position.

Data hold

During a measurement, press the Hold/Flashlight button (2) to turn on data hold function and display the current reading. Press again to turn the function off and return to measurement display.

Flashlight

Press and hold the Hold/Flashlight button (2) for 2 seconds to turn the flashlight on/off.

Auto power turn-off

When you turn the knob switch (3) to power on, the automatic turn-off function is activated by default and the display shows the symbol.
After 15 minutes without any key operation, the multimeter will turn off automatically to save battery energy.
To cancel the automatic turn-off function, press and hold the Hold/Flashlight button (2) and turn the knob switch (3) to power on simultaneously. The symbol is not displayed when the automatic turn-off function is cancelled.

Do not measure voltage higher than 600V, otherwise the device may be damaged.
**** Observe safety precautions to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Measurement mode

AC/DC voltage measurement
Turn the knob switch (3) to select voltage or voltage. symbol or symbol is displayed accordingly. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (5) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (4). Connect the probes to the measuring points. The measurement results will appear on the display (1).
Resistance measurement
Turn the knob switch (3) to select the Ω function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (5) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (4).
Connect the probes to the resistance measuring points of circuit or resistor. The measurement results will appear on the display (1).
Continuity test
Turn the knob switch (3) to select the function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (5) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (4).
Connect the probes to the circuit or component to be tested. The measurement results will appear on the display (1). If the resistance is <50Ω, an acoustic signal will be emitted continuously.
Diode test
Turn the knob switch (3) to select the function. Plug the black test lead into the COM jack (5) and the red test lead into the INPUT jack (4).
Connect the black test probe to the cathode side and the red test probe to the anode side of the diode to be measured. If the polarity of the test probes is reverse to the diode polarity, the OL (Overload) will appear on the screen. This can be used for distinguishing the anode and cathode side of a diode. The measurement results will appear on the display (1).

Current measurement (in A)
Turn the knob switch (3) to select the function. Plug the red test lead into the 10A jack (6) and the black test lead into the COM jack (5).
Disconnect the measured power supply, connect the multimeter in series with the power supply, and then turn on the measured power supply. The measurement results will appear on the display (1).
Do not use this function to measure >10A current, as this might burn out the fuse.
Current measurement (in mA)
Turn the knob switch (3) to select the function. Plug the red test lead into the INPUT jack (4) and the black test lead into the COM jack (5).
Disconnect the measured power supply, connect the multimeter in series with the power supply, and then turn on the measured power supply. The measurement results will appear on the display (1).
Do not use this function to measure >200mA current, as this might burn out the fuse.

Fuse replacement

  • Turn off the multimeter power and remove the probes.
  • Remove the screws fixing the back cover and remove the back cover.
  • Remove the burnt out fuse, replace it with a new one of the same specification, and ensure that the fuse is installed in the safety clip and clamped tightly.
  • Install the back cover and fix it with screws.
