Operating Instructions for #15230 High Speed Drill/Grinder
15230 High Speed Drill Grinder
- Use your High Speed Drill/Grinder with a 12 volt DC power source only. If you are not using our Variable Speed Transformer, you must observe polarity. Changing polarity ( + to or to +) on any DC motor will cause the tool to run in reverse. Tool must turn counter clockwise when viewed from the end.
- A slight vibration at lower speed is caused by electronic feed-back which keeps the tool running at constant torque at low speeds and is normal.
- To change collets, insert steel pin through hole in housing and motor shaft and tighten or loosen collet nut with a 14 mm open end wrench or an adjustable wrench (not supplied).
- Do not force tool. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
NOTE: When using tool with the #15238 chuck, remove the black collar from
the nose of the tool; otherwise, the chuck cannot be screwed on far enough.
CAUTION
Unplug tool before changing bits or collets.
Secure work. Use clamps or a vise to hold work whenever possible.
Wear eye protection.
Do not operate tool after taking drugs, alcohol or medications or when you are
tired or fatigued.
Keep long hair tied back.
Do not wear loose clothing.
Keep tool out of reach of children.
