BEFORE FIRST USE

  • The appliance has been packaged carefully to ensure the product reaches you in good condition. If the product has been damaged, dropped, has a malfunctioned in any way, or if the supply cord is damaged, do not use.
  • Carefully unpack your appliance. Make sure you do not discard any packaging material until all parts of the appliance have been found.
  • Carefully wipe the exterior of the appliance to remove any dust that may have accumulated during production. Dry with a dry towel. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners.
  • The first heating process should take place without any foodstuffs. Let it heat for about 10 minutes. You may notice slight smoke and/or smell from the appliance when the heating element is heating up. This is normal and harmless. After dry heating for a few minutes, it should disappear

OPERATION

  1. Brush or wipe the baking plates with a small amount of vegetable oil.
  2. Close the appliance and plug it into the wall socket. The red power indicator light will be illuminated, and the appliance will begin heating. The baking plates will reach baking temperature in approximately 3 minutes. The red indicator light will remain ON when the appliance is heating up.
  3. Open the appliance and place the prepared fillings on the bottom baking plate.
  4. Close the appliance and lock it with the locking clip.
  5. It will take approximately 3-5 minutes to make the food, depending on different fillings and requirements.
  6. Unlock the clip, open the appliance, and take out the food.
  7. Repeat the above operation if more food is needed.
  8. Remove the plug from the wall socket after use.

CAUTION:

  • Depending on the different fillings, it may take approximately 3-5 minutes to get the food ready.
  • If too much mixture is inserted into the appliance, the jaffle maker cannot be closed. Never close it with undue force as this could damage the appliance.
  • Never use sharp forks or knives to remove food from the jaffle maker, as this would damage the non-stick coating on the cooking surface. Use heat-resistant wood or plastic utensils only.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the mains power outlet socket when not in use.

CLEANING & CARE

CAUTION: Do not immerse the mini jaffle maker in water or in a dishwasher!

  • Always unplug your mini jaffle maker from the mains power supply before cleaning or performing maintenance.
  • Ensure that your mini jaffle maker has completely cooled down before cleaning, as it gets very hot during use.

RECIPES

Bacon, Spinach and Tomato

  • 2 slices white bread
  • 1/2 tomato, sliced
  • Few pieces of spinach
  • 2 thin slices bacon
  • Softened butter

Spread one side of the bread with softened butter, and put 1 slice on the jaffle maker, buttered side down. Arrange the tomato, chopped spinach, and grilled bacon on top. Cover with another slice of bread, buttered side up.

Scrambled Eggs and Bacon

  • 2 thin slices bacon
  • 2 slices white bread
  • Softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 oz butter

Grill the bacon and cut into pieces. Scramble the egg with butter, milk, and seasoning until lightly set. Spread one side of the bread with softened butter, and put 1 slice on the jaffle maker, buttered side down. Arrange the scrambled egg and bacon on top and cover with another slice of bread, buttered side up.

Cake

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 400ml milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 100g butter
  • 5g baking powder

Beat the eggs in a mixer until well mixed. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Leave the mixture for at least half an hour. Preheat the jaffle maker. Use a pastry brush to lightly grease the non-stick coating of the bakingplates with oil or butter. Pour the mixture into the jaffle maker. Cook until golden brown.
