CONTROLS0

• ‘LEVEL’ is the level control. Turning it clockwise increases the output level of the pedal.
• ‘DRIVE’ is the overdrive control. Turning it clockwise increases the amount of overdrive.
• ‘HI CUT’ controls a filter on the output, making it possible to dial off harsh high frequencies. Increased filtering as the knob is turned clockwise. The filter is very subtle. All the way down, there is no filtering (pure OD-1 sound).

Switches

• The footswitch turns the effect on and off, indicated by the orange LED.

Internal switches

• The black slide switch found at the left side of the circuit board switches between the original silicon diode clipping mode of the old OD-1 (up) and an alternative MOSFET transistor and germanium diode hybrid clipping option (down). The latter is warmer and has a bit more ‘hair’, and overall I think it is superior sounding. The silicon diodes are vintage correct rare old 1S1588s. The pedal ships in MOSFET/Ge mode, så you need to flip the
• switch if you want true OD-1 sound.  Lane 1 of the ‘DIP’ switch sets the silicon diodes between asymmetrical (vintage OD-1) and symmetrical (tube screamer) clipping modes. The pedal is in symmetrical mode with the switch ‘ON’. Pedals ships set to asymmetrical.
• Lane 2 of the tiny ‘DIP’ switch at the top left corner of the circuit board actives a ‘fat’ mode when set to ‘ON’. This extends the low frequency reponse one octave down, which sounds more satisfying and ‘full’ when playing on your own, but you might find normal mode sits better in a band mix, or with a dark sounding guitar or amp. The ‘fat’ mode also makes the pedal useful for bass players. The switch works indepedently of clipping settings. Pedals ships with the ‘fat’ mode activated.

Connectors

• Right side jack is the input of the pedal. Connect your instrument here.
• Left side jack is the output.
• There is DC connector for an external power supply at the right side of the pedal. The pedal can be run at 9-18V. The DC connector is a standard guitar pedal ‘negative centre’-type jack. ONLY use this type. Reversing the polarity can damage the pedal. The pedal can also run on a 9V battery (not included).

Please note: The pedal is drawing power from the battery, when there is a jack in the input connector. Alway remove the input jack when the pedal is not in use, if you are running it with a battery

Battery access
Remove the four screws at the bottom side of the pedal with a philips head screwdriver to remove the bottom plate and gain access to the battery.

Warranty
All Reuss pedals comes with a limited 24 months warranty against manufacturing faults The warranty is not covering normal wear and tear or abuse.
