IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT DESTROY

DANGER – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF BURNS, ELECTRIC SHOCK, AND FIRE, THIS PRODUCT MUST BE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE  FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:\

1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING.
3. DO NOT USE IT ON AN INFANT OR ON AN ANIMAL.
4. THIS PAD IS NOT TO BE USED ON OR BY AN INVALID, SLEEPING, HELPLESS OR UNCONSCIOUS PERSON, A PERSON WITH DIABETES, A  PERSON  WITH POOR BLOOD CIRCULATION OR INSENSITIVITY TO HEAT, OR A PERSON INCAPACITATED BY MEDICATION.
5. THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT TO BE USED BY CHILDREN. CLOSE SUPERVISION IS NECESSARY WHEN ANY APPLIANCE IS USED NEAR CHILDREN.  CHILDREN SHOULD NOT PLAY WITH THE APPLIANCE.
6. DO NOT USE IT ON AREAS OF INSENSITIVE SKIN.
7. BURNS CAN OCCUR REGARDLESS OF THE CONTROL SETTING. CHECK SKIN UNDER PAD FREQUENTLY.
8. IF PROVIDED WITH A REMOVABLE COVER, NEVER USE PAD WITHOUT COVER IN PLACE.
9. DO NOT USE IT IN AN OXYGEN ATMOSPHERE.
10. DO NOT USE PINS OR OTHER METALLIC MEANS TO FASTEN THIS PAD IN PLACE.
11. DO NOT SIT ON, AGAINST, OR CRUSH PAD – AVOID SHARP FOLDS. PLACE PAD ON TOP OF AND NOT UNDER THE PART OF BODY NEEDING  HEAT.
12. UNPLUG WHEN NOT IN USE. NEVER LEAVE APPLIANCES UNATTENDED, ESPECIALLY IF CHILDREN ARE PRESENT.
13. NEVER PULL THIS PAD BY THE SUPPLY CORD. DO NOT USE THE CORD AS A HANDLE. DO NOT PINCH THE CORD.
14. DO NOT TUCK IN, TRAP, FOLD, CROSS, PINCH, OR WRAP CONTROL OR CORD WITH A HEATING PAD DURING USE.
15. DO NOT PLACE ANYTHING OVER THE HEATING PAD WHILE IN USE OR PLUGGED IN, SUCH AS A TOWEL, BLANKET, CLOTHING, OR ANY  OTHER INSULATING MATERIAL, AND NEVER ALLOW THE HEATING PAD TO WRAP AROUND ITSELF.
16. CAREFULLY EXAMINE PAD, COVER, CORD, AND CONTROLLER BEFORE EACH USE. DISCARD THE PAD IF ANY SIGN OF DETERIORATION,  WEAR OR DAMAGE. DO NOT TAMPER WITH THIS PAD IN ANY WAY. THERE ARE NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS. IF PAD DOES NOT FUNCTION  SATISFACTORILY, SEE WARRANTY FOR CUSTOMER CONTACT INFORMATION.
17. LOOP CORD LOOSELY WHEN STORING, TIGHT WRAPPING MAY DAMAGE CORD AND INTERNAL PARTS. ALLOW TO COOL BEFORE STORING  AND DO NOT CREASE BY PLACING ITEMS ON TOP OF IT. STORE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING, IN A COOL, DARK, DRY PLACE.
18. USE THIS PAD ONLY AT RATED VOLTAGE, AS MARKED ON THE PRODUCT. DO NOT USE WITH GENERATORS, POWER CONVERTERS, OR  INVERTERS.
19. DO NOT USE THIS PAD WITH LINIMENT, SALVE, OR OINTMENT PREPARATIONS. SKIN BURNS COULD RESULT.
20. THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT INTENDED FOR MEDICAL USE IN HOSPITALS.
21. MODELS WITH A MASSAGE FUNCTION: DO NOT MASSAGE THE ABDOMEN WHEN PAIN IS PRESENT, OR AREAS THAT ARE SWOLLEN, INFLAMED,  COVERED WITH SKIN ERUPTIONS, OR UNEXPLAINED PAIN. CONSULT A PHYSICIAN BEFORE USING ANY EQUIPMENT OF THIS TYPE.
22. SOME MODELS MAY CONTAIN FILLING MATERIAL (PELLETS OR BEADS), MADE FROM EITHER ABS PLASTIC (NON-MICROWAVABLE MODELS)  OR SILICON DIOXIDE (MICROWAVABLE MODELS). IF FILLING MATERIAL IS RELEASED DUE TO PRODUCT DAMAGE, DISCONTINUE USE OF THE PRODUCT. DO NOT INGEST FILLING MATERIAL. IF FILLING MATERIAL IS INGESTED, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.
23. SOME MODELS MAY CONTAIN AN INTERNAL FLEXIBLE ROD. IF FLEXIBLE ROD IS EXPOSED DUE TO PRODUCT DAMAGE, DISCONTINUE USE  OF PRODUCT.

NORTH AMERICAN MODELS WITH POLARIZED PLUGS:

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.  If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature or modify the plug in any way.  If the plug fits loosely into the ac outlet or if the ac outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.

HOW TO APPLY YOUR HEATING PAD

Heating pads are effective pain relievers to soothe muscle and joint pain. The Renee XXL Massaging Heat Wrap with Contoured Neck is specifically designed to fit the back of the head, neck, shoulders, and back.
NOTE: Always consult with your physician or health professional for recommended treatment of an injury or chronic muscle or joint pain.
1. Drape the pad comfortably over your shoulders.
2. Once in place, secure the pad by connecting the plastic closure on either end of the shoulders (Figure 1, Number 4).
3. Adjust the flexible rod in the neck of the pad for a snug fit (Figure 1, Number 2).
4. To remove the pad, detach the plastic closure and lift the pad off of your shoulders.

HOW TO USE YOUR HEATING PAD

A. Heat Control Button
B. Massage Control Button
C. Heat Setting Indicator
D. Massage Setting Indicator
E. Auto-Off Indicator

1. Plug into 120V AC electrical outlet
2. To turn the pad on, press either the Heat Control Button (Figure 2, letter A) or the Massage Control Button (Figure 2, Letter B).
3. Select from 2 heat settings; low or high, by repeatedly pressing the heat control button until the desired heat setting indicator lights up (Figure 2, letter C).
4. Select from 4 massage settings by repeatedly pressing the massage control button until the desired massage setting indicator lights up; (

1. Low Vibration – Constant, (2)  Low Vibration – Pulsing, (3) High Vibration – Constant, (4) High Vibration – Pulsing, (Figure 2, Letter D).

5. To turn the pad off, press the Heat and/or Massage Control Button repeatedly until all of the indicator lights turn off.

CAUTION :

• DO NOT SIT ON, LEAN AGAINST, CRUSH OR FOLD PAD DURING USE.
• DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING.
• SEE ADDITIONAL WARNINGS IN THE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SECTION.

AUTO-OFF FEATURE

Your heating pad controller includes an Auto-Off feature. This feature is designed to conserve energy by automatically turning off after a certain amount of time. The massage feature will automatically turn off after 30 minutes of continuous use. The heat feature will automatically turn off after 2 hours of continuous use. The Auto-Off Indicator  (Figure 2, letter E) will flash when the heat auto-off feature is activated and the pad shuts off. To reset after Auto-Off, press the heat and/or massage control button until the desired setting is reached.
NOTE : After a power outage or if the pad is unplugged, the Auto-Off feature automatically resets the timer.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

DO NOT DRY CLEAN! DO NOT USE BLEACH! DO NOT USE A WRINGER! DO NOT WET THE INNER PAD CONNECTED WITH CORD! ONLY WASH REMOVABLE OUTER COVER! DO NOT IRON!
1. Disconnect pad from outlet. DO NOT PULL BY THE CORD.
2. Remove the outer cover from the pad.
3. Machine wash cover in warm water on gentle cycle or hand wash. Tumble dry on medium heat and remove promptly from dryer or drape to dry.
4. When cover is completely dry, reinsert the pad for use.
5. Do not wash heating pad. Wipe pad with a damp cloth, as needed. Do not dampen the cord and connector. Hang to dry.

TROUBLESHOOTING

•Verify no physical damage to the cord, controller or pad. If there Is damage, discontinue use.
•If failure continues, discontinue use. See warranty Information to contact Sunbeam Consumer Service.
‘Auto-Off’ Indicator Is Flashing| •Auto-Off feature has been activated and will turn the heat off atter 2 hours of continuous use.
•To re-start unit, press the Heat and/or Massage Control Button until the desired setting is reached.
Pad has a Hot Spot| •Ensure the pad is not folded, bunched, overlapped or crushed In any area.
‘High’ Heat Setting Indicator Light is Flashing| •The `High’ Heat Setting Indicator light will start flashing when a fault Is detected. Follow these steps to reset
1.Unplug the controller from the AC outlet
2.Verify the AC outlet is functional and plug the controller in the AC outlet
3.Press the Heat and/or Massage Control Button until the desired setting is reached
•If flashing light persists, an error has occurred. Discontinue use of the product and see warranty information to contact Sunbeam Customer Service.

2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Sunbeam Products, Inc. (“Sunbeam”) or if in Canada, Newell Industries Canada ULC (“NIC”) warrants that for a period of two (2) years from the date of initial retail purchase,  this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used in accordance with the instructions provided. Sunbeam (or NIC), at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.

This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Sunbeam (or NIC) dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling Sunbeam (or NIC) products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.

This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current,  use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair, or alteration by anyone other than Sunbeam (or NIC) or an authorized Sunbeam (or NIC) service center. Further,  the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

What are the limits on Sunbeam’s (or NIC’s) Liability?
Sunbeam (or NIC) shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or condition. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty. Sunbeam (or NIC) disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Sunbeam (or NIC) shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against the purchaser by any other party. Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from province to province, state to state or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
