INSTALLATION
Fitting the electric blanket:
The electric blanket should be laid on a firm and un-adjustable mattress. The
blanket should be laid flat from shoulder to feet when sleeping.
The electric heating blanket must be spread with the attached controller
positioned towards the top of the bed. The side with the switch should
preferably be placed near the shoulder for convenient operation.
To prevent the blanket from moving or creasing during use, fit the blanket
securely to the mattress. Any creased spot tends to cause overheating which
may be hazardous.
Controller:
- To install the controller, insert the plug into the mating connector on the electric blanket until the locking tab snaps firmly into place.
- To remove the controller, lift the locking tab up with your finger and pull the plug directly out Do not pull the controller cable, and Do not try and pull the controller plug out without lifting the locking tab as you will damage the socket.
Note:
Single bed models will come with only one controller. All other sizes include
two controllers.
OPERATION
With the blanket fitted to your bed and the controller connected, ensure the power cord can safely be connected to your power supply without creating a tripping hazard. Once plugged in, the controller should be within easy reach of the user.
Controller:
By default, when you first turn on the electric blanket, both the temperature
and timer will be set to 0.
Pressing the Temp button will cycle through the different temperature settings
(L, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).
Pressing the Time button will cycle through the different timer settings (1 –
9), increasing by one hour at a time.
Pressing the Pre Heat button, the temperate will display as “H” and the
blanket will begin to pre-heat for an hour. After an hour the blanket will
automatically switch the temperature to the “L” setting.
After pre-heating, you can manually select the desired heat setting according
to your needs. If you intend to sleep with the blanket on or use it for an
extended time, set the temperature to either the “L” or “1” setting.
STORAGE
After use:
When the electric blanket is not in use, switch the controller to the off
position and remove the plug from the power outlet. If the blanket is not to
be used for a long period of time, store the blanket in a cool and dry place.
