  3. This product is a nebulizer for the inhalation of medical aerosols and is suitable for all commonly used solutions. Use only the type and amount of medication prescribed by your doctor.

  4. This product is intended for aerosol therapy only. Any other use is not recommended.

  5. Do not untwist the jet nebulizer during operation.

  6. Do not pour more than 10 mL of solution into the jet nebulizer.

  1. Electrical Shock Hazard – Do not remove the cabinet or open the cover.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning or servicing.

  5. Turn the unit off when it is not in use.
  6. Keep the cord away from HEATED or HOT surfaces.
  7. NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
  8. NEVER block the air openings of the product or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air opening may be blocked.
  9. Avoid operating in wet or damp locations.
  10. Unplug the unit before filling the nebulizer.

Warning: To reduce the risk of infection:
Cleaning of the nebulizer is recommended after each aerosol treatment. Disinfecting is recommended once a day. Please follow the cleaning and disinfecting instructions in this manual.

INTRODUCTION

This compressor nebulizer is designed to deliver the prescribed medication solution to treat your respiratory disorders: such as asthma, allergies, and bronchitis. The nebulizer converts the medication solution into an aerosolized mist which is inhaled by the patient through the mouthpiece. Read this manual thoroughly before using the nebulizer and save it for future reference.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place compressor on a stable, sturdy, and flat surface such that the unit can be easily reached when you’re seated.

  2. Make sure the compressor is off by pressing the power switch to the “OFF” (O) position.

  3. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.

  4. Connect one end of the tubing into the compressor air outlet connector.

  5. Add the prescribed solution through the opening on the jet nebulizer cap using an eyedropper or pre-measured dose container.

  6. Assemble mouthpiece onto the top of the jet nebulizer cap. If an aerosol mask is used, connect the bottom of the mask to the top of the jet nebulizer cap.

  7. Connect the tubing to the jet nebulizer air inlet connector.

  8. Turn the compressor on by pressing the power switch to the “ON” (I) position.

  9. Implement the treatment by placing the mouthpiece between the teeth.
    Inhale and exhale through the mouthpiece.

  10. If an aerosol mask is used, place the mask over the mouth and nose.

Note: The compressor motor has a thermal protector which will shut off the unit before the unit overheats. When the thermal protector shuts the unit off:

  1. Switch off the unit,
  2. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet,
  3. Wait 30 minutes for the motor to cool down before another treatment.

CLEANING

  1. Turn the power off and unplug the compressor power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Remove the tubing from the air inlet.
  3. TO CLEAN: Disassemble mouthpiece, jet nebulizer cap, chamber, and baffle, and wash these items in hot water with dish-washing detergent. Rinse these items thoroughly to remove the detergent and let the air dry.
  4. TO DISINFECT Mix 1/4 cup of white vinegar with 3/4 cup hot water in a clean container. Submerge mouthpiece, T-piece, nebulizer cap, chamber, and baffle for 30 minutes in the solution. Remove from solution and let air dry.
  5. There is no need to clean the tubing. If necessary wipe the surface regularly.

CAUTION: The jet nebulizer must be changed if it gets clogged.

CAUTION: The nebulizer and accessories must not be boiled.

MAINTENANCE

  1. The air compressor filter should be replaced when it turns gray. Additional filters can be purchased from your dealer.
  2. Only authorized personnel shall make repairs to this product.

CAUTION: The nebulizer may be damaged if used with a dirty filter or if the filter is replaced by other material such as cotton. Do NOT operate without a filter.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

If a problem occurs during operation, please check and correct the following points:

The mist does not come out from

  1.  Incorrect amount of medication in the jet nebulizer.
  2. Tubing disconnected.
  3. The jet nebulizer is not creating mist.
  4.  The air filter is clogged.

  1.  The jet nebulizer’s maximum capacity
    is 10mL. Adjust the volume until the
    nebulizer functions correctly.

  2.  Connect the tubing.

  3.  Replace the jet nebulizer.

  4.  Replace the air filter.

WARRANTY

Medline Industries, Inc. warrants the nebulizer compressor to be free from defective workmanship and materials for a period of (5) years from the date of purchase. Check with your dealer for more details. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser of the compressor. Any defective part or assembly will be repaired or replaced, at the sole discretion and determination of Medline Industries, Inc., if the unit has been properly operated during the warranty period. Normal maintenance items and disposable components are not covered by this warranty. Shipping charges, if any, shall be paid by the purchaser.

Note: There is no other express warranty. Implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the express limited warranty and to the extent permitted by law, and all implied warranties are excluded. This warranty does not cover providing a loaner compressor, compensating for costs incurred for compressor rental, or labor costs incurred in repairing or replacing defective part(s).
