Thank you for choosing the PIC® Insect Killer Lantem Please read the instruction manual carefully to ensure the use of this product complies with all safety regulations. The weatherproof unit is equipped with a UV lighting function and a zapping grid that kills bugs on contact. The white LED light is suitable for illuminating the area in 3 levels of brightness. The functions are operated independently, so you can use both the UV/Zapper with the LED Lantern, UV/Zapper only, or LED Lantern only.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

This product is for indoor and outdoor use. Check the product frequently for accumulating debris/dead insects as it may contribute to fire. Do not bend the electrical grid and do not attempt to make repairs on the unit. Call our customer service department at 1-800-799-7302 for assistance.

OPERATION:

The unit requires 3 AA batteries, not included in this purchase. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard, or rechargeable batteries. It is recommended that you place the unit away from you when using it as a zapper to draw the insects towards the light.

  1. To turn the LED ON, simply press the  button. Keep pressing to toggle through the 3 brightness modes. The same button shuts the LED OFF.
  2. To turn the UV/zapper ON, simply press  the button. The same button shuts the UV/zapper OFF.
  3. Prior to cleaning the unit , remove the batteries from the product. Wait 45 minutes for the grid to lose power. Gently use the plastic brush included with your purchase to brush away any accumulating debris.

If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be    determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. -Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
-Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/tv technician for help

CAUTION —Collected insects may be a fire hazard. Clean dead insects from the unit frequently.
WARNING —Skin or eye damage may result from directly viewing the light produced by this apparatus.
CAUTIONELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD MAY EXIST WATER FROM A GARDEN HOSE IS DIRECTED AT UNIT WHILE IN OPERATION.
CAUTION —Do not stick foreign objects, metal objects, or fingers into the unit.
CAUTION —Do not tamper with or modify the unit.
CAUTION —Do not clean the unit while it is powered on.
CAUTION —Before cleaning, allow the unit to sit for at least45 minutes to release charge from the electric grid.
CAUTION – Do not clean or spray the unit with water, cleaning spray, or any other liquid.
CAUTION —Do not submerge the unit in water or any liquid.
CAUTION —Keep out of contact with flammable items such as paper or clothing.
CAUTION —Do not use flammable liquids around the unit.
