ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:
Thank you for choosing the solar powered PIC* Pest Free Living Patio Lantern.
Please read this owner’s manual carefully to ensure use of this product
complies with all safety regulations.
This weatherproof unit is designed to charge in direct sunlight. It is
equipped with a UV light function and a zapping grid which kills bugs on
contact. The flame effect serves as a beautiful accent light. The white LED
light is suitable for illuminating the area. It’s recommended to place the
product away from your outdoor living space when using as a zapper.
Both modes are controlled by the power button located near the bottom of the
device. Simply press the button per the Directions for Use to toggle through
the functions. When turning the unit on, the first mode is UV/Zapper/Flame
Effect The second mode is Zapper/white LED Lantern. Pressing the button a
third time powers the device off.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
For optimal performance, charge the device in direct sunlight for a minimum of 6 hours prior to each use.
- To turn the device ON, simply press the power button to activate the Zapper/UV/Flame Effect mode. (By keeping the device on at all times, the device will recharge during the day in direct sunlight and the dusk-til-dawn sensor will activate the flames again at night )
- To switch from Flame Effect mode to Zapper/White LED Lantern mode, simply press the power button again.
- To turn the device OFF, press the power button one final time. Keep the device off when not in use.
Prior to cleaning the device, ensure the device is powered off. Wait 45
minutes for the grid to lose power. Gently use canned air or hair dryer on
cool/high setting to blow out accumulated debris from the zapping grid.
Periodically remove the catch tray located on the back of the device to shake
out dead insects and debris from the inside as well.
Pro Tip : For off-season storage, save the outer box, this manual, and
packing materials. Ensure the product is OFF per directions above before
storing.
This device is not intended for use by young children. Children should be
supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this device. This device
complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2)
this device must accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses,
and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

frequently for accumulating debris/dead insects as it may contribute to fire.
Do not bend electrical grid and do not attempt to make repairs on the unit.

CAUTION — Do not stick foreign objects, metal objects or fingers into the
unit.
CAUTION — Do not tamper with or modify unit.
CAUTION — Do not clean unit while it is powered on.
CAUTION — Before cleaning, allow unit to sit for at least 45 minutes to
release charge from electric grid.
CAUTION — Do not clean or spray the unit with water, cleaning spray, or
any other liquid.
CAUTION — Do not submerge unit in water or any liquid.
CAUTION — Keep out of contact with flammable items such as paper or
clothing.
CAUTION — Do not use flammable liquids around unit.
