IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire. Electric shook and injury to persons, including the following:
This appliance is for household use only, not designed for commercial use.
Sharp cutting blades. Be careful when handing, emptying the bowl and during
cleaning.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Misuse may cause injury.
If the supply cord is damaged, DO NOT use. For electrical safety, any repairs
to the product should only be carried out by a qualified electrical person
only or the product must be disposed.
CAUTION: Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the blender as it can be
ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
Ensure that the blender is switched OFF before removing it from the base
(motor unit).
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the
thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external
switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly
switched ON and OFF by the utility.
Please read these instructions carefully for safety and to get the best
results from your appliance.
To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put cord, plug or unit in
water or other liquid.
Unplug from mains power outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking off parts.
The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a risk of
injury to persons.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a
heated over.
Avoid contacting moving part.
Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the risk of
severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used but
must be used only when the blender is not running.
IMPORTANT! Always operate blender with lid cover in place.
IMPORTANT! Do not process any hot liquids or ingredients in the large or
small cup.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect from mains power before changing
accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
Note: The appliance incorporated with a non-self resetting thermal motor
protection circuit to protect the motor from overheating. If the motor shuts
OFF while in use; unplug the unit from main power outlet. Remove the blender /
soup jug / cup from motor unit and free the blade of any obstructions. Allow
the unit to cool down for 30 to 40 minutes. After then, plug the unit back
into to mains power for normal operation.
WARNING!
- After using the soup function, after one cycle, allow the electric motor unit to cool down approx. 20 minutes before using it again.
- Except for the soup function (approx. 8 minutes), the maximum operating time for other functions are 1 minute. After one cycle, allow the electric motor unit to cool down for at least 1 minute before using it again.
After 5 continuous cycles of operation, allow the electric motor unit to cool down to room temperature for approx. 30 minutes before using it again.

CAUTION: Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging material.
- Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see Part A above) and possible transport damage. If you find any damage to the product or component, DO NOT use. Contact Kmart for a replacement.
- Remove any protective films and stickers that may be present on the appliance.
- Clean all accessories before you first use to remove any residue from manufacture.
Follow instructions in the ” Cleaning” and “Storage” section in the manual.
Blade Attachments
- Danger of injury due to sharp blades! Never grip the blade attachment (4) by the blades. Hold the plastic housing when inserting or removing the blade attachment.
- The plastic housing of the blade attachment (4) contains sealing rings. This ensures that the blender/soup jug, small and large cup does not leak. Make sure before each use that the sealing ring is correctly inserted in the groove on the plastic blade housing to prevent any leaks.
IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the blade attachment! Do not drop the blade attachment (4) and do not leave it lying in water or other liquids for longer than two hours to avoid damage.
- The blade attachment (4) can be used for chopping, stirring and blending ingredients.

Make sure that the sealing ring is correctly inserted in the groove on the plastic blade housing.

Screw the blade attachment (4) onto the blender/soup jug (3) or the cups (10, 12).
Check that it fitted correctly.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT operate the blender without any food in the blender/soup jug or small or large cup. -
Place the blade attachment (4) together with the blender /soup jug / cups (3, 10, 12) onto the motor unit (5). When you do this, make sure that the arrows marked on the blade attachment (4) and the electric motor unit (5) are above one another. Then twist clockwise to secure.
Removing
Follow the steps for attaching in reverse order:
- Twist the blade attachment (4) together with the blender/soup jug/cups (3, 10, 12) counterclockwise and remove from the motor unit (5).
- Remove the blade attachment (4) carefully.
- Turn the large cup (10) or small cup (12) upside down and unscrew the blade attachment (4).
- Empty the blender/soup jug (3) first and only then unscrew the blade attachment (4).
Blender/Soup Jug
In the blender/soup jug (3) the items to be blended are processed.
Its maximum fill volume is 1200ml. Never exceed the maximum fill volume. Read
the “Use” chapter, “Preparing Hot Food” section for details.
CAUTION: To avoid scalding, take extreme care when blending and removing hot food from the blender.
Cups
CAUTION: Danger of burns! Never fill the small or large cup (10, 12) with
hot food or liquids!
The contents must not be hotter than 50°C. DO NOT use the small or large cup
for making hot soup.
The items to be blended or processed can be stored in the large and small
cups. The large cup (10) is suitable for portions up to 1000ml (up to 900 ml
with the ice tube (11) inserted), the small cup (12) for portions up to 500ml.
Refer to “Processing Cold Ingredients” section for details.
Ice tube
The ice tube must not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
The ice tube (11) is suitable for cooling smoothies, shakes or similar liquids
while they are being prepared. It can only be used with the large cup (10).
- Unscrew the lid (13) of the large cup (10).
- Fill the ice tube (11) with ice cubes and insert it into the large cup (10).
- Screw the lid (13) back onto the large cup (10).
Seal Lid
The seal lid is not suitable for the transport of liquids, it is not leak
proof. The seal lid (9) can be screwed onto either the small cup (12) or the
large cup (10).
When you press the Function (B) button, one of 8 programs can be selected in
the following order:

- Never insert the blade attachments into the motor unit without attaching to the cup or blender/soup jug.
- Danger of damage due to insufficient cooling! Never place the motor unit on a soft surface. Always use it on a flat hard surface. The ventilation openings on the side and bottom of the motor unit must not be covered.
- Do not overfill! Make sure that the maximum fill level (MAX marking in the cup / blender/soup jug) is not exceeded.
- Danger of damage from incorrect use of the accessories! The device should only be used if it has been completely and correctly assembled!
- Danger of damage or injury from unforeseen events! Do not leave the device unattended when it is in use.
- Make sure that the device remains stable during operation. Always hold the motor unit firmly with one hand.
- The device must not be moved while it is switched ON.
- The device has an automatic switch-off function. If no settings are made within the space of 3 minutes in stand-by mode, the device switches off automatically. To carry on working, switch the device back on by pressing the Start / Stop button (C).
- The display (A) and the operating light (7) are only switched on if the cup or blender/ soup jug has been fitted on the motor unit correctly.
- A program can be changed at any time during operation by pressing the Function button (B) or be stopped by pressing the Start / Stop button (C).
Processing Cold Ingredients
CAUTION: Danger of burns! Never fill the small or large cup with hot food or
liquids!
The contents must not be hotter than 50°C.
When processing frozen fruit or vegetables, always pour a little liquid into
the cup as well.
For all programs:
-
Place the motor unit (5) on a flat and stable surface:
o The surface must be dry.
o The suction feet on the bottom of the appliance must stick to it firmly.
o Make sure that there is a sufficient gap from the edge of the work surface so that the device does not fall off during operation. -
Select the small or large cup (10, 12). If required, attach the ice tube (11) (see “Ice Tube” section) to the larger cup (10) and make sure that the lid (13) is screwed securely.

Pour the ingredients you want into the cup (do not exceed the MAX marking in the cup).

Screw the blade attachment for cup (4) clockwise onto the cup.
-
Turn the cup upside down, place the blade attachment h o using into the electric motor unit (5) and twist clockwise to secure it in place. Pay attention to the arrow markings for proper secure fitment.

Insert the supply cord plug into a mains power outlet socket that is easily accessible.

Switch ON the device: Press the Start / Stop button (C) once. The operating light (7) will flash and the display (A) will switch ON.
-
You can select the program you want by repeatedly pressing the Function button (B).
On the display (A) an arrow points to the chosen program and the duration of the respective program is shown. -
to start the program: Hold the motor unit (5) securely with one hand and press the Start / Stop button (C) once.
-
When the program is finished, switch OFF the device. Press the Start/ Stop button (C) once to do this. The operating light (7) and the display (A) will go out.

Remove the supply cord plug from mains power outlet socket.
-
Wait until the blades have come to a complete stop, then twist the blade attachment with the cup counterclockwise and remove from the electric motor.
-
Turn over the cup and unscrew the blade attachment from the cup in the counterclockwise direction.
-
Remove the blended items or store them in the small or large cup (10, 12) and seal with the seal lid (9).
-
Clean the accessories immediately after each to prevent food contamination (refer to “Cleaning” and “Storage” sections). Do not allow food residue to dry on the product after use.
Preparing Hot Food
CAUTION:
-
* Danger of injury! Never reach into the blender/soup jug when it is fitted on the motor unit.
- Never operate the soup jug without the lid.
- Overheating of the device! Never use SOUP function with an empty blender/soup jug.
- Danger of burns! The surface of the soup jug can become hot when using the SOUP function. Never touch it by hand, use suitable kitchen gloves when handling.
- Always empty the soup jug after use. It is not suitable for storing food.
IMPORTANT! The soup function is for heating only and does not cook raw
food. Food must be pre-cooked prior to using it in the soup jug.
With the SOUP program, the contents in the blender/soup jug (3) are pureed for
8 minutes.
The temperature that is reached after these 8 minutes depends on the starting
temperature of the ingredients. The recommendations are:
- do not use any frozen food, precook such as potatoes and other hard ingredients.
- use warm water and heat ingredients before blending.
- do not abort the Soup program prematurely. It is possible that the desired temperature will then not yet have been reached.

Place the motor unit (5) on a flat and stable surface:
o The surface must be dry.
o The suction feet on the bottom of the appliance must stick to it firmly.
o Make sure that there is a sufficient gap from the edge of the work surface so that the device does not fall off during operation.
o Ensure there is clear space above (towards wall-mounted cupboards and shelves) and to the sides in order to prevent any possible damage from hot steam. -
Screw the blade attachment firmly on to the bottom of the blender/soup jug:
• Place the soup jug (3) with the blade attachment (4) onto the electric motor unit (5) and twist it clockwise to secure it in place. Pay attention to the arrow markings for proper secure fitment.
• Remove the lid (2) and pour in the ingredients you into the blender/soup jug (do not exceed the MAX marking in the jug).
• Ensure to fit the lid (2).
• Insert the supply cord plug into a mains power outlet socket that is easily accessible.
• Switch ON the device: Press the Start / Stop button (C) once. The operating light (7) will flash and the display (A) will switch ON. -
Select the Soup program. To do this, press the Function button (B) until the arrow on the display (A) points to “SOUP”.

Start the program: Hold the motor unit (5) securely with one hand and press the Start / Stop button (C) once.
-
If additional food is to be added during processing, twist the measuring cup (1) on the lid (2) and then remove it upwards. Add ingredients through the opening in the lid.

When the program is finished, switch OFF the device by pressing the Start / Stop button (C) Once. The operating light (7) and the display (A) will go out.

Remove the supply cord plug from mains power outlet socket.
-
Wait until the blades have come to a complete stop, then twist the blade attachment Housing (4) with the soup jug (3) counter- clockwise and remove it from the electric motor unit (5).
-
Transfer the food from the soup jug (3) into a suitable vessel.
CAUTION: Food will be hot. Handle with care. -
Unscrew the blade attachment (4) from the soup jug (3) by turning it counterclockwise and rinse both parts (refer to “Cleaning” and “Storage” section). Do not allow food residue to dry on the product after use.
• Danger of electric shock! Remove the power supply cord plug from mains power outlet socket before cleaning the device.
• Danger of electric shock! Keep the electric motor unit, the main cable and the main plug away from water or other liquids! Never touch them with wet hands when the blender is connected to the main power.
• The blade attachment and the ice tube must not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
• Danger of injury due to sharp blades! Take care when handling the blade attachments.
The blades are very sharp. Never touch with bare hands. Always hold the blade attachment firmly by the plastic housing.
- Surfaces could be damaged! Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean the device.

Make sure that the device is disconnected from the mains power.
-
If required, wipe down the motor unit (5) with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry it with a soft cloth.
-
Rinse the accessories which have been used with clear, warm water and some mild detergent.
The cups / soup jug (10, 12, 3) along with the lids can be cleaned in the dishwasher. -
Allow all parts to dry completely.

Reassemble the device.
-
Store the device in a cool, dry place which is protected from direct sunlight and is out of the reach of children and animals.
NOTE: The plastic parts may suffer discoloration over time. However, this does not have any negative effect on either your health or the performance of the appliance.
If the device does not work properly, first check whether you are able to
rectify the problem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself! If the device
will not switch ON, check the following:
- Is the mains plug inserted in the plug socket correctly?
- Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
- Has the fuse of your main connection been activated?
- Is the blade attachment (4) screwed on correctly?
- Is the blade attachment (4) positioned in the motor unit (5) correctly? The device can only be switched on if the blade attachment (4) has been positioned and locked in place correctly in the electric motor unit (5). The arrows marked on the
blade attachment (4) and the motor unit (5) must align to one another.
CLEANING
CAUTION: The stainless steel blades are very sharp.
Handle these components with caution. Ensure you keep your fingers clear of
the cutting edges when handling these items. Take care when washing the
blades. Never leave them in a sink or washing bowl with other items. Always
wash separately
- Remove the supply cord plug from mains power outlet socket before cleaning.
- Clean all parts, including the blender/soup jug and lid, in hot soapy water and soft cloth. Do not use abrasive products or wash it in a dishwasher.
- Clean the electric motor unit with a damp cloth and never put it into water, other liquids or flush it with water.
STORAGE
- Unplug and clean unit.
- Store in original box or in a clean, dry place.
- Never store the blender while it is hot or while connected to mains power.
- Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Never place any stress on the power cord, especially where the cord enters the unit, as this could cause the cord to fray and break.
