**

Safety Tips

  • Position on a flat, stable surface.
  • A service agent/qualified technician should carry out installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any components on this product.
  • Consult Local and National Standards to comply with the following:
    • Health and Safety at Work Legislation
    • BS EN Codes of Practice
    • Fire Precautions
    • IEE Wiring Regulations
    • Building Regulations
  • DO NOT immerse in water.
  • DO NOT touch the areas of the appliance surrounding the hob(s). These become hot during use.
  • Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the unit and allow to cool before cleaning.
  • Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an Caterlite agent or a recommended qualified technician in order to avoid a hazard.
  • This appliance is not intended for use be persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities , or lack of experience and  knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety

Introduction

Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of this machine will provide the best possible performance from your Caterlite product.

Caterlite prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of packaging the contents are supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your Caterlite dealer immediately.

Operation

Note: Before using the appliance for the first time,.wipe the hobs clean with a damp cloth. This removes any residue that may have built up during transit. Elements may smoke when new, if this persists please call the supplier

  1. Position the appliance in a suitable location.

  2. Ensure the power setting is set to ‘0’. Connect to the power supply.

  3. Turn the control knob clockwise to set the power to the desired level. When the boiler ring is heating, the red indicator is illuminated. When temperature setting is reached red indicator will switch off

  4. Place the pan on the ring.
    Note: Double boiling rings have individual power controls, which need to be set for each ring.

  5. When cooking is complete, remove the pan from the hob and turn the power control to ‘0’

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance

  • Always switch off the appliance and disconnect from the power supply before cleaning.
  • Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
  • Use warm, soapy water and a damp cloth for cleaning.
  • A Caterlite agent or qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.

Electrical Wiring

This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 13 amp fuse as standard.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:

  • Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
  • Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
  • Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked

This appliance must be earthed, using a dedicated earthing circuit.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.
