IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

Do not use the kettle in electrical systems other than 120V/60Hz for North America. Do not use with power converters or adapters.

Kettle is designed to be used with provided kettle base. Do not use any parts in isolation or for any other purposes.

Do not operate kettle with a damaged cord or plug, or after kettle malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

To avoid damaging the cord, do not allow it to hang over the edge of a table or bench top, or touch any hot surface.

Do not place kettle on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

Do not turn kettle on without water to avoid damaging heating tube. Should kettle operate without sufficient water, unplug kettle and allow it to cool for 15 minutes before filling.

This appliance is not to be used by children or by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Children should not play with this appliance.

CAUTION Do not immerse kettle or any parts into water or any other liquid to prevent electric shock.

Warning Steam is hot and may result in scalding injury. After boiling, press pouring release button for several seconds to release steam before beginning to pour water. To avoid scalding injury, do not touch the spout.

The kettle is intended to boil water only. Do not use to heat any other liquid, including coffee, tea, milk or alcohol. Do not use kettle for any other use that has not been outlined within this manual.
WARNING Read and save these safety guidelines. Failure to adhere to these safety guidelines may result in serious injury. -
Do not move kettle when turned on. Be cautious when moving the kettle containing hot water to avoid potential scalding injury.

Do not use kettle in conjunction with spare parts or accessories that have not been approved by Instant Brands.

Always unplug kettle when not in use and before cleaning. Allow kettle to cool sufficiently before cleaning.

CAUTION Always ensure lid is firmly closed when kettle is in use. Do not open lid while water is boiling to avoid potential scalding injury.

Warning Kettle must remain in the upright position to avoid scalding. The lid is not fully sealed in order to release steam during boiling. Leakage will occur when the kettle contains water and is turned upside down.

For household use only. Do not use outdoors. Not for commercial use.

The plug should only be inserted into a grounded socket. Do not remove grounding prong.

| When moving the kettle containing hot liquid, carry with extreme caution.

- Water and steam will be hot after boiling.
- To avoid scalding injury, always release steam before pouring. Press the pouring release button for several seconds to release steam before pouring water.
| Spilled hot liquid can cause serious burns. Keep appliance & cord away from children.
NEVER:
- Drape cord over edge of counter
- Use outlet below counter
- Use extension cord
| Do not fill above maximum water level mark (as indicated within pitcher). If water level exceeds maximum water level mark, water may spill out of spout when boiling.

Controls & Features
The pitcher must be seated on the kettle base for use. If the pitcher is removed from the base for more than 20 seconds, the kettle will return to Standby.

Quick Boil
-
Touch Power to boil to 100°C (212°F). After 3 seconds, real-time temperature and “HEAT” will appear on display.

To turn on Keep Warm automatically after boiling, touch Power, then touch Keep Warm. Kettle will boil to 100°C (212°F), then heat as needed to maintain temperature at
95°C (205°F) for up to 4 hours. -
To adjust Keep Warm temperature to between 40-95°C (105-205°F), use the + / – keys.

Touch Power to cancel.

Precise Heat (Custom Temperature)
- Touch Keep Warm. Temperature and “WARM” will appear on display.
- Use the + / – keys to adjust temperature to between 40-95°C (105-205°F). Kettle will heat to selected temperature, and maintain temperature for up to 4 hours.
- Note: Kettle will not reach 100°C (212°F) on this setting.
- Touch Keep Warm to cancel.

Setting Adjustment
- Touch + / – keys to adjust the temperature by increments of 5°C (10°F). After 3 seconds, the display will indicate the internal temperature.

Celsius to Fahrenheit
To change the temperature setting from Fahrenheit to Celsius, press and hold the + / – keys at the same time. The display will indicate the selected setting.
Getting Started
- Remove lid from pitcher.
- Fill pitcher to the “MAX” line with water (indicated within kettle).
- Secure lid to pitcher.
- Place pitcher on base.
- Plug into a grounded 120V power source.
- Touch Power to quick boil.
- Kettle will beep when heating is complete.
- Press pouring release button for several seconds, then pour and discard water.
- Refill and boil as desired!

Care & Cleaning
Allow kettle to cool before cleaning or storing.

- Do not use chemicals, iron matter or other abrasive cleaners to clean.
- Ensure the base of pitcher is dry and clean before placing on kettle base.

WARNING
| DO NOT immerse pitcher or kettle base in water or attempt to cycle through dishwasher.
Deep Cleaning
- Minerals in water may deposit at bottom of kettle.
- Periodic deep cleaning will ensure the longevity of the kettle.
- Add 3 cups (750 mL / 24 fl oz) white vinegar to pitcher, then fill with warm water up to the “MAX” line. Allow solution to sit within kettle overnight.
- Empty solution from kettle. Fill kettle with clean water to the “MAX” line, discard after boiling.
Repeat as necessary.

Limited Warranty
- This Limited Warranty is effective for one year from the date of original consumer purchase. Proof of original purchase date and, if requested by an authorized representative of Instant Brands Inc. (“Instant Brands”), return of your appliance, is required to obtain service under this Limited Warranty. Provided that this appliance is operated and maintained in accordance with written instructions attached to or furnished with the appliance, Instant Brands will, in its sole and exclusive discretion, either: (i) repair defects in materials or workmanship; or (ii) replace the appliance. In the event that your appliance is replaced, the Limited Warranty on the replacement appliance will expire 12 months from the date of original consumer purchase.
- This Limited Warranty extends only to the original purchaser and use of the appliance in the United States of America and Canada. This warranty does not cover units that are used outside of the United States of America and Canada.
- Any modification or attempted modification to your appliance may interfere with the safe operation of the appliance and will void this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty does not apply in respect of any appliance or any part thereof that has been altered or modified unless such alterations or modifications were expressly authorized by an Instant Brands representative.
Limitation and Exclusions
The liability of Instant Brands, if any, for any allegedly defective appliance
or part shall in no circumstances exceed the purchase price of a comparable
replacement appliance.
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, neglect, unreasonable use, use contrary to the operating instructions, normal wear and tear, commercial use, improper assembly, disassembly, failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance, fire, flood, acts of God or repair by anyone unless directed by an Instant Brands Representative;
- Repairs where your appliance is used for other than normal, personal use or when it is used in a manner that is contrary to published user or operator instructions; or
- Use of unauthorized parts and accessories, or repairs to parts and systems resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications made to this appliance.
The cost of repair or replacement under these excluded circumstances shall be borne by you.

Some states or provinces do not allow for the exclusion of implied warranties of merchantability or fitness, so this limitation may not apply to you. In these states and provinces, you have only the implied warranties that are expressly required to be provided in accordance with applicable law.

Limitation of Remedies; Exclusion of Incidental and Consequential Damage
YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE APPLIANCE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED HEREIN. INSTANT BRANDS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE APPLIANCE OR DAMAGES WITH RESPECT TO ANY ECONOMIC LOSS, PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS OF PROPERTY, LOSS OF REVENUES OR PROFITS, LOSS OF ENJOYMENT OR USE, COSTS OF REMOVAL, INSTALLATION OR OTHER INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE OR KIND. -
Warranty Registration
Please visit www.instantpot.com/support/register to register your new Instant Brands™ appliance and validate your warranty within thirty (30) days of purchase. You will be asked to provide the store name, date of purchase, model number (found on the back of your appliance) and serial number (found on the bottom of your appliance) along with your name and email address. The registration will enable us to keep you up to date with product developments, recipes and contact you in the unlikely event of a product safety notification. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the instructions for use, and warnings set forth in the accompanying instructions. -
Warranty Service

You can also create a support ticket online at www.instantpot.com/support. If we are unable to resolve the problem, you may be asked to send your appliance to the Service Department for quality inspection. Instant Brands is not responsible for shipping costs related to warranty service, save and except for shipping costs associated with the return of your appliance from Canada or within the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia of the United States of America, as provided herein. When returning your appliance, please include your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and proof of the original purchase date as well as a description of the problem you are encountering with the appliance.
