Power & Charging

The AirHub DMX features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for cable free use. The battery can power the hub for up to 20 hours from a full charge. An adaptive power supply with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC 50/60Hz is also included.

The battery charges whenever the included power adapter is connected and plugged into a power source. The AirHub can be used while charging. If it is plugged in and not in operation, make sure it is turned off. The indicators on the LED Menu Display show how much battery life remains available.

The included power supply features a charging status LED. Red indicates that the battery is charging and green that charging is complete.

Setup Examples

The AirHub features 16 wireless groups (00-15) and built-in presets including static colors, auto, fade, and sound active mode. To make a connection, simply set the AirHub and your Air Series fixtures to the same group ID. In the example below, the AirHub and AirPar HEX 4 are both set to ID01.

Setup Examples

The AirHub can also transmit wireless DMX512 to most 2.4Ghz enabled fixtures outside of the Air Series ecosystem through group ID 0-5 (such as the ColorKey MobilePar Mini HEX 4). Simply scroll through the wireless bands on your lights until a connection is made with the AirHub.

DMX Transmitter

Setup Examples

The AirHub DMX functions as a DMX transmitter for any standard DMX controller using standard 3-pin DMX cables. Just like Stand Alone mode, all fixtures connect to the AirHub using the wireless group ID. In addition, fixtures need to be addressed just as they would when connected to the controller via DMX cable. Refer to the DMX chart included in your fixtures’ owner’s manual for details.

DMX Receiver

Setup Examples

The AirHub also functions as a DMX receiver when the DMX output of the AirHub is connected to the DMX input of a lighting fixture. Connect to the wireless transmitter using the same wireless group ID.
