Intended use
The Nedis KACM150EBK / KACM150EWT is a coffee maker with a water reservoir for up to 10 cups of coffee.
The product is intended for indoor use only.
This product is not intended for professional use.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
The product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments.
Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Safety instructions
WARNING
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the product. Keep the packaging and this document for future reference.
- Only use the product as described in this document.
- Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
- Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
- Unplug the product from the power source and other equipment if problems occur.
- Do not use the product to heat anything other than water.
- If the surface is cracked, immediately disconnect the product from the power supply and do not use the product anymore.
- Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter.
- Do not place the product in a cabinet when in use.
- Place the product on a stable and flat surface.
- Ensure no water enters the power outlet.
- Connect to a grounded outlet only.
- Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.
- Do not let the power cable touch hot surfaces.
- Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, naked flames or heat.
- Never immerse the product in water or place it in a dishwasher.
- Do not remove the top lid while the brewing cycle is in progress.
- Do not open the water reservoir during use.
- Never place an empty coffee jug on a hot heating plate, this may shatter the coffee jug.
- Unplug the product when not in use and before cleaning.
- Unplug the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
- Children of less than 8 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- Usage by children should be supervised at all times.
- This product is not a toy. Never allow children or pets to play with this product.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
- Do not move the product during operation.
- Do not touch any hot surfaces.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the product is operating.
- Do not fill the water reservoir above the “MAX” indicator.
- This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Before first use
Clean the brewing chamber A3, coffee jug A5 and the water reservoir A9 with soap and rinse with water.
When you first use this product, perform two full brewing cycles without coffee to clean the inside of the product.

**** Do not fill the water reservoir above the “MAX” indicator.
**** Do not touch any hot surfaces.
A paper filter is required to start brewing coffee.

Open the water reservoir lid A1.
-
Fill the water reservoir A9 with 150 ml clean water for every cup of coffee.

Open the brewing chamber A3. See image B.

Place a paper filter (not included) into A3.
**** Usually one level spoon of grounded coffee is needed for one cup of coffee. Adjust the amount according to your personal taste. -
Distribute the ground coffee evenly.

Close A3 and A1.
A clicking sound indicates A3 is closed correctly. -
Place the coffee jug A5 on the heating plate A7.

Plug the power cable A12 into a power outlet.
Wait for 30 seconds after plugging in the power cable before switching on the product. -
Press the power button A11 to start the brewing cycle. Aw lights up.
- ** Do not open the lids A12** while the brewing cycle is in progress.

Wait one minute after the brewing cycle has finished to allow all the coffee to drip into A5.
- ** Do not touch the heating plate A7** for 40 minutes.

Take A5 from A7.

Fill your cup with the brewed coffee.
- **** Be careful, hot steam may escape.
- ** Place A5 on A7** to keep the coffee warm for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes the product automatically switches off.

Enjoy your coffee.
- Press A11 to switch off the product.

Discard the used ground coffee.
Cleaning & Maintenance
**** Let the product cool down before cleaning it.
**** Do not immerse the product in water.
**** Do not expose the electrical connections to water or moisture.
Only the brewing chamber and the glass jug can be washed in a dishwasher. The rest of the product is not dishwasher safe and should be cleaned by hand in soapy water.
Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface.
Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children under the age of 8 and without supervision.
Do not attempt to repair the product. If the product does not operate correctly, replace it with a new product.
Descaling the product

Open A(1)(3).
-
Fill A9 to the ‘MAX’ indicator A8 with one part white vinegar and three parts of cold water.

Place a paper filter (not included) into A3.
-
Close A(1)(3).
A click sound indicates A3 is closed correctly. -
Place A5 without the jug lid A4 onto A7.
-
Plug the power cable Ae into a power outlet.
-
Press A11 to switch on the product.
-
Wait a few minutes after the brewing cycle has finished to allow all the coffee to drip into the jug.

Allow the product to cool down.
-
Remove, rinse and place back A5.
-
Repeat the above steps with a fresh water-vinegar mixture.
-
Rinse the product three times with only cold water.
