To ensure that the coffee machine operates reliably and be fully effective it needs to be descaled regularly. The frequency of descaling depends on water hardness and frequency of use. The depositing limescale leads to longer coffee preparation and may lead to damage to the coffee machine.

Recommended descaling frequency:
soft water: once every 6 months
medium water hardness: once every 2-3 months
hard water: once every 6-8 weeks

We recommend using descaling liquids especially suited to coffee machines and kettles with plastic housing. Follow the given instructions. After rinsing the limescale deposits from the water elements of the coffee machine, perform 3 brews using only water prior to the first coffee brewing.
