XXXX is the last 4 digits of MAC address on the lable of router.

  1. The router will detect the Internet access method automatically. You can configure the parameters based on your requirements.

  2. The SSID/password configuration takes effect in 2 to 3 minutes. After the new SSID is display in the Wi-Fi list, connect to the SSID and you can access the Internet.

Scenario 2: Configure more router to form whole family Mesh network

To cover every corner of a villa, large house or condo, you can buy multiple Reyee Mesh routers to form a wireless mesh network solution for full-house coverage.

  1. Connect the master router (any new one) to the Internet
Please refer to the Scenario 1 for configuration.

  2. Put the rest of Reyee routers within 2 meters of the master router and power it on
Wait for 2 to 3 minutes until indicators in each device turn to steady on.

  3. Press the Reyee Mesh button on the master router for pairing
When the Reyee Mesh indicator of master router blinks, it searches for neighboring devices. When the Reyee Mesh indicator of the rest of devices blinks, it means that two routers are being paired. After 2 minutes, the indicators change to steady white, and the pairing completes.

  4. Move the paired devices to the position where the signal needs to be expanded, and then power it on again
Wait for 3 to 5 minutes until the indicator turns to steady on, the original SSID of secondary router(@Reyee-sXXXX) will disappear and the united SSID/password will be the one you just configured. The connection is successful, whole house mesh Wi-Fi setting done.

  • Please properly place the routers and check the signal bar if needed. Do not place two routers too far away and avoid too many walls or other obstacles.
  • If you have 3 or more routers, you can pair them by one-click Reyee Mesh during startup, or repeat the step 2 to step 4 according to your requirements. At most 5 routers (4+1) can be paired as recommendation.

FAQs

  1. What to do if I forget the management password? Try the Wi-Fi password which may be the same with the management password. If not, please restore the factory settings.
  2. How to restore the factory settings? Power on the router and wait for 2 to 3 minutes until it starts up. Press the Reset button for more than 3 seconds until the system status indicator blinks. After the indicator changes to steady on and the SSID “@ Reyee-sXXXX” is broadcast, the router restores the factory settings successfully.
  3. Can I connect multiple routers with network cables? Yes, and wired connection is more stable. You can connect the WAN port (yellow) from secondary device with the LAN port (black) from master router for wired connection.
