Product Usage Instructions

Power On

Place the range extender within 2 meters of your router and connect it to a power source. Wait for the System LED to turn solid green.

Set-Up

Scenario 1: Connect to a Non-Reyee Router

  1. Connect your device to the Wi-Fi network starting with “@Reyee” on the range extender.
  2. Follow on-screen instructions or enter http://10.44.77.254 in a web browser if the setup page is not displayed.
  3. Once setup is complete, the signal strength LED will turn solid white.

Scenario 2: Connect to a Reyee Router

  1. Press the Mesh button on your Reyee router until the signal strength LED turns solid white.
  2. Alternatively, use the WPS button method for connection.
  3. After a successful connection, the range extender’s Wi-Fi network will match your router’s network.

Relocate

  • Power off the range extender, move it to the desired spot and power it back on for optimal performance.
  • Note: Signal strength LED indicates connection quality. Refer to FAQ for troubleshooting.

Q1: What should I do if the signal strength LED does not turn solid on?

If the signal strength LED does not turn solid on, please check the placement of the range extender and its proximity to the router. Ensure it is within 2 meters for optimal connection quality.

Power On

Place the range extender within 2 meters (78.74 in.) of your router, and connect it to a power source. Wait until the System LED turns solid on.

Scenario 1: Connect to a Non-Reyee Router

  1. Connect your smartphone or computer to the Wi-Fi network (starting with @Reyee) of the range extender. The specific Wi-Fi network name (SSID) can be found on the label at the bottom of the range extender.
  2. Follow the instructions on the displayed setup page to complete the setup.
    • If the setup page is not displayed, open a web browser, and enter http://10.44.77.254 in the address bar.

Scenario 2: Connect to a Reyee Router

  • Press the Mesh button on your Reyee router.
  • The connection is successful when the signal strength LED of the range extender turns solid white.
  • After the connection is successful, the Wi-Fi network of the range extender will be the same as your router’s Wi-Fi network.
More Methods

Via the WPS Button

  1. Press the WPS button on your router.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the range extender for 1 second The signal strength LED should change from blinking to solid, indicating a successful connection.

Via the Reyee Router App

  • Download the up-to-date Reyee Router app. Follow app instructions to complete setup.
  • After the connection is successful, the Wi-Fi network of the range extender will either be a new network manually set by you or the same as your router’s Wi-Fi network.

Relocate

  • If less than two bars of the signal strength LED are on, relocate the range extender closer to your router to achieve better signal quality.

Access the Range Extender Settings

  • After setup, you can access range extender settings via any of the methods below to view or change extended network settings.
  • If your range extender and router use the same network name, Method 1 is recommended.

Method 1: Via the Reyee Router App

  1. Connect your smartphone to the range extender‘s network.
  2. Launch the Reyee Router app and log in.

Method 2: Via a Web Browser

  1. Connect your computer or smartphone to the range extender’s network. If you are using a computer, unplug the Ethernet cable if any.
  2. Launch a web browser, enter http://10.44.77.254 in the address bar, and log in.

Q1. What Should I Do If the Signal Strength LED Turns Off?

  • The LED may be turned off. Press the top button quickly (less than 1 second) and verify if the LED turns on.
  • Make sure that there are no more than two walls between the range extender and your router. Keep the range extender away from any high-power electrical appliances.
  • You may have entered an incorrect Wi-Fi password for your router. Check the password and try again.
  • If you have configured MAC address filtering, wireless access control, or ACL on your router, please disable them and try again.
  • The signal strength LED will be off when you set up your range extender to work as a router.
  • Reset the range extender and try again.

Q2. What Should I Do If I Cannot Log In to the Web Interface?

  • The range extender in its factory state cannot be set up using a wired connection.
  • Connect your smartphone or computer to the range extender’s Wi-Fi network, and try again.
  • Use another browser to try again. Google Chrome is recommended.
  • Make sure that the URL in the address bar of your browser is entered correctly. The default URL is http://10.44.77.254.
  • If you still fail to log in using the default URL, try logging in to your router’s web interface and locate the IP address of the range extender in the client list.
  • Then, enter this IP address into your browser’s address bar.
