**Factory Reset Smart Light Strips
(Bluetooth + Direct Connect)**
If you purchased a Bluetooth Light Strip in 2020 or a new Direct Connect Light Strip (released in 2020), you will have a factory reset button on the strip.
Press and hold the button for 10+ seconds to reset.
If you purchased a Bluetooth Light Strip prior to 2020, you will need to reset your light strip with a timed sequence that is repeated until the light strip blinks. To do this, make sure your light strip is plugged into an outlet. Then, unplug and plug in the barrel plug using the reset timing sequence.
Timed Sequence:
- Start with light off for at least 5 seconds.
- Turn on for 8 seconds.
- Turn off for 2 seconds.
- Repeat this process 5 more times, or until the light strip flashes. The light will flash 3 times if it has been successfully reset.
TIP: You can also reset your light strip by plugging it into a surge protector with an on/off button. Control the light strip with the on/off button using the reset sequence
