INSTALLATION
- The speed control must be installed indoors and vertically on the wall.
- The connection to the mains must have a residual current device.
- Do as follows to connect the speed control to the mains:
-
Remove the dial from the speed control (7)
-
Undo the nut (2) and remove the cover and frame (3)
-
Remove the screws (4) that fix the speed control in the box fitting and remove the speed control (5) from the box.
-
Put the cables in the box fitting (6)
FIG. 2 -
Put the box fitting on the wall.
-
Strip the ends of the cables about 6-7mm.
-
Connect the cables to the terminal block (7) on the speed control (P) and the fan (B) as per the wiring diagram and the label on the terminal block.
FIG. 3
FIG. 4 -
Put the speed control in the box fitting and fasten it with the screws.
To ensure normal operation as intended the speed control must be regulated for minimal rotation speed:
- Turn the dial anticlockwise while the control is in switched on mode (without the dial clicking and switching off)
- Connect the power.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver with an insulated handle to turn the potentiometer (8) until a minimal rotation speed is achieved.
- Turn the dial anticlockwise to the off position (so that clicking noise is heard). Wait for the rotation of the fan to stop.
- Turn the dial to minimal fan speed and it is now adjusted for a stable minimal rotation speed.
- Fit the frame and tighten the nut
- Fit the dial.
NOTE:
The speed control must not be used if the minimal rotation speed is not set
correctly.
The fan can be damaged if the minimal rotation speed is not correct.
TROUBLESHOOTING
