GETTING STARTED
PARTS OVERVIEW
TOOLS NEEDED
CLICK SEAL® CONNECTOR
20” Toilet Connector
STEP 1: REMOVE OLD TOILET
A: TURN OFF WATER
B: DRAIN WATER
Flush the toilet to drain most of the water from the tank and bowl.
C: REMOVE CONNECTOR
Remove the water supply connector from the bottom of the fill valve and from
the wall.
D: REMOVE TOILET CAPS
Then unscrew hex nuts to release the toilet bowl from the floor.
E: REMOVE OLD BOLTS FROM
THE TOILET FLANGE
F: CLEAN BOTTOM OF TOILET
Scrape off the wax with a putty knife and wipe clean. No wax residue should
remain.
STEP 2: PLACE SETFAST™ BOLTS
NOTE: Pre-assemble SetFast (if needed). Thread stud into anchor nut, 2 or 3 turns only. White Dot, “thread locker”, must be closest to top.
A: SLIDE YELLOW LOCK WASHER (D) UP.
B: INSTALL BOLT (A) INTO FLANGE SLOT.
When positioned, pull bolt up and press down on yellow lock washer (D) to
secure.
STEP 3: FLANGE HEIGHT
A: DETERMINE FLANGE HEIGHT
Check if flange is above, even with or below floor. If flange is below the
floor, use ruler to determine flange depth.
B: PROCEED TO THE CORRESPONDING SECTION IN STEP 4 FOR YOUR FLANGE HEIGHT.
STEP 4: FLANGE & SEAL INSTALLATION
FLANGE ABOVE FLOOR RUBBER SEAL INSTALLATION
A: REMOVE SPACER FROM SEAL.
The spacer will not be used for above-floor installs and can be discarded.
B: INSTALL SEAL OVER FLANGE.
Slide seal holes over bolts. Proceed to Step 5.
FLANGE EVEN WITH OR UP TO 1/4” BELOW FLOOR INSTALLATION
A: INSTALL SPACER OVER FLANGE.
Slide seal holes over bolts.
Important: Foam side of spacer must face down as pictured or leaks may
occur.
B: INSTALL SEAL ON TOP OF SPACER.
Slide bolt holes over bolts.
Proceed to Step 5.
FLANGE MORE THAN 1/4” BELOW FLOOR INSTALLATION
NOTE: For a flange depth greater than ½” a flange extender is required. (2nd
seal purchased separately)
A: INSTALL TWO SEALS ON TOP OF THE SPACER.
Slide spacer holes over bolts. Then slide each of the seal bolt holes over
bolts. Important: Foam side of spacer must face down as pictured or leaks may
occur.
Proceed to Step 5.
STEP 5: TOILET INSTALLATION
A: SET BOWL.
Position toilet bowl over the seal, guiding holes in toilet base over bolts.
NOTE: Toilet can be repositioned on the seal, if needed, unlike
traditional wax rings.
NOTE 2: If toilet rocks, do not force by overtightening the bolts. Locate
shims to firmly secure the toilet (see next page).
STEP 6: SECURE TOILET
A: INSTALL THREADED CAP BASE ONTO BOLT, FLAT SIDE DOWN.
B: PLACE ANTI-SPIN WASHER INSIDE THREADED CAP BASE.
C: THREAD ACORN NUT INTO BOLT
Tighten until nut engages “thread locker” dot and it’s snug (bolt will self-
adjust height). Use a wrench to tighten an additional ¼” turn. CAUTION: DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN. Overtightening can cause a bowl or flange to crack.
NOTE: If toilet rocks, do not force by overtightening the bolts. Locate
shims to firmly secure the toilet (see option below).
D: SCREW SECURE CAP™ ON THE THREADED CAP BASE.
(OPTIONAL) Shim toilet if needed
A: PLACE A LEVEL ON THE BOWL
Determine which side of the toilet is sloping.
B: PLACE SHIMS
Gently slide the shim(s) under the toilet with your hand until the rocking
stops. CAUTION: Don’t use tools or force the shims.
This could cause you to lift the toilet, creating extra space that shouldn’t
be there.
C: CUT THE ENDS
Carefully cut the ends of the shims with a knife so that the edges are not
visible.
D: CHECK ACORN NUT
Make sure the acorn nuts are still securely tightened. Retighten if necessary.
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Overtightening can cause bowl or flange to crack.
A: CHOOSE THE CORRECT ADAPTER
Try attaching adapters to the water supply valve then inserting the adapter
thread-side first into the metal nut.
B: THREAD THE METAL NUT ON
CLICK SEAL® CONNECTOR ONTO THE WATER SUPPLY VALVE.
Tighten ½ turn beyond hand tight.
**C: GENTLY TURN CLICK SEAL® NUT CLOCKWISE***
The “click” lets you know it’s sealed!
*D: SLOWLY TURN ON WATER AT THE SHUTOFF VALVE.**
Note: Carefully check for leaks at the shutoff valve. If the leak appears,
tighten the nut just enough to provide a leak-free joint.
* DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. DO NOT USE TOOLS ON PLASTIC NUTS OR PLASTIC FILL
VALVES.
Overtightening and/or the use of tools could cause damage and lead to failure
of the nut and/or fill valve. Such damage may not be visible to the eye.
Failure of the nut and/or ill valve can lead to significant water leakage and
water damage.
STEP 8: FLUSH THE TOILET
A: FLUSH THE TOILET
If you’re satisfied with the flush, YOU’RE DONE!
YOU DID IT!
We knew you could!
Share your success story
with friends and family!
