Quick Start Guide
- Get the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Tap the button in the app and select your model (Bluetooth Setup).
- Follow the instructions in the Tapo app to complete setup.
Third-Party Services
Tapo works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and other third-party services to
control your smart plug by voice. To set up Third-Party Services:
- Open the Tapo app.
- Go to “Me > Third-Party Services”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the desired third-party services.
LED Status
The LED on the smart plug indicates different statuses:
LED Status | Status Description |

Blinking orange & green slowly | Ready for setup. |
Solid orange | Connected to Wi-Fi. |
Solid green | Connected to Cloud. |
Solid red | Disconnected from Wi-Fi. |

To reset the smart plug

Press and hold the power button on the plug for about 5 seconds
to reset the Wi-Fi while keeping other settings. -
Press and hold the power button on the plug for about 10
seconds to restore your plug to factory default settings.
