Install bar and chain

Please cut off the Battery before adjusting chain tensioning. Turn out the tensioning knob counterclockwise ( Figure 1 ) and remove the sprocket cover from the body. If it is a used machine, please clean the residual wood chips and debris on the chain cover in time to ensure the accuracy of the assembly when installing the guide chain in the next step.

Install bar and chain

Take out the guide plate and chain and check the cutter teeth of the chain before installing the chain on the guide plate. The cutter teeth need to be installed on the guide plate as shown in Figure 2. After the chain is installed on the guide plate, please place the guide chain installed together vertically, with one end of the guide wheel on it, and pull the chain by hand for a week to check whether the slide is smooth.

Install bar and chain

Note: When the machine has been used for a period of lime, it  is best to check the guide and chain according to the above method before each use, if it is not smooth, it may need to replace or repair the guide and  chain.

Put the chainsaw in a stable place, install the installed guide and chain on the machine, and hang the teeth on the inside of the chain to the drive sprocket (Figure 3).

Install bar and chain

Cover the sprocket cover, pay attention to the cover, the hand should hold the guide plate and chain, to prevent the chain from slipping out of the sprocket, screw the tensioning knob above the stud, use a Phillips screwdriver to adjust the screw clockwise (as shown in Figure 4 ), to adjust the lightness between the guide plate and the chain, and then turn the tensioning knob clockwise to press the sprocket cover, the guide chain installation is complete.

Install bar and chain

Before using the chain saw, after  the first use and about 10 minutes during regular use, check the tightness of the chain to ensure that the appropriate tightness of  the chain is achieved.

Note: Put on protective gloves, pinch the chain, drag it back and forth to see if the sprocket and chain are toothed, and then turn the adjusting screw clockwise to tighten the chain, the best tightness of the chain is controlled at 2-4mm distance (as shown in Figure 5 ).

Install bar and chain

Use and operate the chainsaw as shown in Figure 6. Lubricate the guide and chain with 32# anti-wear lubricating oil. Do not use the machine without lubrication.

Install the battery pack

After confirming the battery pack’s power level, align the card slot of the battery pack with the card tendon of the machine and insert it into the battery compartment of the machine (as shown in Figure 7 ). After the correct insertion, the battery is locked on the machine and cannot be pulled out directly. The battery pack is installed successfully.

Note: To extend the service life of the battery pack, please fully charge the battery pack before placing it. If  you do not use the machine for a long time, it is recommended to charge it every 3 months.

Charging the battery pack

Connect the power plug of the charger to the power outlet. At this point, the charger indicator light is red, indicating that the charger is charging, The charger indicator light is green, indicating that the charging operation is complete (Figure 8).

Charging the battery pack

Note: There are many models of battery packs and chargers (the picture is only one of them)

Battery packs and chargers are used safely

  • Charge only using the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger used in conjunction with another battery pack may pose a fire hazard.
  • Only use power tools with specially designated battery packs. Using other battery packs can result in injury and fire.
  • When not using the battery pack, keep it away from other metal objects, such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that may cause a connection between one terminal and another. A short circuit in the battery terminal may cause burns or fire.
  • In harsh conditions, liquid may be expelled from the battery, please avoid contact, if accidental contact, please wash immediately with water. If fluids come into contact with your eyes, seek medical help immediately. The liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
  • Charging state, do not use tools. Be sure to charge the tool indoors, away from heat sources, and avoid covering the charger and battery pack, which may cause poor heat dissipation and damage to the tool.
  • Charge the battery pack immediately after discharge. Storage tools should be in a state of excess electricity, away from high temperature, choose a cool, dry area.
  • The battery pack has self-discharge phenomenon, if not used for a long time, it is recommended to charge once every 6 months, when the power is insufficient, do not force use.
  • The battery pack must be charged after continuous use for a specified time, and the forced use of the weak state seriously affects the performance of the battery pack product.
  • Do not use damaged or modified battery packs or tools. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior that can lead to fire, explosion, or injury hazards.
  • Do not allow the battery pack or tools to catch fire or overheat. Fire or temperatures above 130C May cause an explosion.
  • Follow all charging instructions, and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the temperature range specified in the instructions. Incorrect charging or charging at temperatures outside the specified range can damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.

Knowledge of battery packs and chargers

  • The power input voltage of the charger is 220V-50HZ
  • Do not allow any liquid into the charger, battery pack
  • The charger and battery pack of the same specification and model of the original manufacturing factory must be used
  • The charger and battery pack should not be used in the rain or wet environment
  • Do not hit or damage the battery pack, and do not use a battery that will be damaged by impact
  • The charger and battery pack will heat up during the charging process. Pay attention to keep the working environment of the charger ventilated
  • Keep chargers and battery packs clean
  • The discarded battery pack should not be burned or discarded at will, and should be placed in the designated recycling area.
