Please read this manual thoroughly before using and save it for future reference.

WARNINGS

  1. This device is intended for household, dry and indoor use only.
  2. This device should never be switched on when not in use, while replacing accessories or during cleaning.
  3. Plug in power supply that corresponds to the rated one on product/charger only. In case of misusage power supply or device failure may occur.
  4. When charging the device, power must be turned off.
  5. This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  6. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old.
  7. Do not attempt any modification or repair by yourself and ensure that any repair is conducted only by appropriately qualified technician.
  8. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced immediately by authorized and qualified person only.
  9. Rotating parts pose entrapment risk. Keep clear.
  10. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack; never use the charger with another device or attempt to charge this product with another charger.
  11. Never charge the battery in temperatures above 37°C or below 0°C.
  12. Use only attachments, consumables or spares recommended or supplied by Rovus brand.
  13. Do not pick up hard or sharp objects, matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends or other similar items.
  14. Do not spray with or pick up flammable liquids, cleaning fluids, aerosols or their vapors.
  15. CAUTION: This tube contains electrical connections:
    • Do not use to suck up water.
    • Do not immerse in water for cleaning.
    • The hose should be checked regularly and must not be used if damaged.
  16. If the device is not working as it should, has received a sharp blow, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water, do not use it.
  17. Do not use the appliance to clean animals or people.
  18. Regularly remove blockages caused by dust, fluff, hair etc. because they greatly reduce device’s suction power and/or general performance.
  19. Please refer to below paragraphs about details on cleaning, settings and accessories.
  20. Never leave weak or empty batteries in the device – especially if you expect it will not be used for several months. Do not store device with batteries in very warm places as this could result in reduced battery performance and/or battery leakage. Battery acid and leakage can cause personal injury and/or damage to the product and/or surrounding property. If battery leakage occurs, thoroughly wash any affected skin, making sure to keep battery acid away from eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Immediately wash any clothing or other surface that came into contact with leaked battery acid.
  21. Ensure that the product is properly disposed in accordance with local laws.
  22. Although the device has been checked its usage and consequences are strictly user responsibility

PRODUCT PARTS

BEFORE USE

Step 1: Unpack all parts from packaging and assemble them together.
Step 2: Fix the wall mount to your wall (check chapter “Installing wall hanger”).
Step 3 : For first use, charge the device for 5 hours and completely discharge. After first use the charging time will be at around 4 hours.
Step 4: All charging/power lights will be blinking during charging and gradually remain lit one-by-one until fully charged.

USAGE

NOTES:

  • Make sure that there are no large, sharp objects on the surface which is to be cleaned.
  • Note the MAX marking of the dust container. If the marking is reached during use, empty the dust container. Empty and clean the dust container after every use. The filters must also be regularly cleaned in order to prevent overloading of the motor.
  • The device cannot be operated when it is connected to the power supply. Disconnect the power cable prior to use.
    Step 1: Select an attachment (nozzle or brush head) and insert it into the suction opening (“click” sound). For a longer reach, insert the tube in between.
    Step 2 : To pull out a nozzle or the tube, press the respective release button.
    Step 3 : Turn on the device (by pressing the power button once (min level) or twice (max level)) and guide the attachment over the area to be cleaned.
    You can turn off the device at any time by pressing the power button for the third time.

ATTACHMENTS SUGGESTED USAGE

  1. Brush head: for carpets and hard floors

  2. Upholstery and brush nozzle (press its button to slide forward/backward its brush – see picture 3):

    • If the brush attachment is at the front
    • suitable for dusting all uneven objects, furniture, lamp shades, picture frames, keyboards, books etc.
    • If the brush attachment is at the back
    • suitable for cleaning all kinds of upholstery (e.g. sofas, car seats etc.).
  3. Crevice Nozzle: for places which are hard to get to, such as corners, crevices or recesses.

  4. Tube: intended to be used with the brush head for cleaning floors (see Picture 4) or with other attachments for easier to reach ceilings and corners.

INSTALLING WALL HANGER

The device can be stored on the wall hanger (see Picture 5).
The wall hanger can be affixed or screwed onto the (wooden) wall. Use the screws (and anchors) supplied accordingly.

Screwing to the wall:

  • Make sure that the surface on which the wall mounting bracket is mounted is stable and that screws and anchors which are suitable for the wall are used. Seek advice from your nearest dealer if in doubt.
  • Before drilling, ensure that there are no pipes or cables behind the intended drilling point.

Sticking to the wall

  • Make sure that the spot on which the wall hanger is to be stuck is clean, dry and free of dust.

  • Peel off the protective strips from the adhesive pads on the back of the wall hanger and tick the wall hanger straight onto the wall and press it on firmly.
    NOTES:

  • Ideally attach the wall mounting bracket near to an easily accessible power supply socket so that the device can be charged.

  • Position the device in such manner that the dust container rests on the hanger

  • The power cable can be tucked in on the small hook of the wall hanger.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTES:

  • The filters may lose some of their color over time. This is normal and does not have any adverse effect on function.
  • It is recommended to change the filters every 6 months, based on normal usage.
    1. Emptying the Dust Container
      Step 1: Free the main unit from any attachments.
      Step 2: Hold the dust container over an open dustbin and press the button for opening the dust container lid to allow the dirt to drop out (see Picture 6).

      Step 3: To close it, press the dust container lid against the dust container (“click” sound).

Cleaning and its filters

Step 1: Open the dust container by pressing the dust container lid release button. Reach in and rotate the bottom of the metal filter counter clockwise to unlock it from the device.

Step 2 : Take the metal filter out of the dust container.

Step 3: The HEPA filter is inserted in the metal filter. Rotate it a bit clockwise and pull it out.

Step 4: Tap out both filters and clean them with a soft brush if necessary. They can also be rinsed out with water, but they must be dried thoroughly before they are assembled.

Step 5 : Wipe the dust container with a damp cloth if necessary and then dry it or allow it to dry in the air.

NOTE: Never assemble wet or damp components or attach them to the main unit.

Step 6: When all components are dry, insert the HEPA filter into the metal filter and rotate it counter clockwise to lock it.

Step 7: Insert the metal filter into the dust container and rotate it clockwise to lock it.

Step 8 : Close the dust container lid (“click” sound).

Cleaning the Exhaust Air Filter

Step 1: Press the exhaust compartment lid release button to open the lid.

Step 2: Pull the exhaust air filter out.

Step 3: Tap and brush out gently the exhaust air filter and the exhaust compartment. The exhaust air filter can also be rinsed out with water, but it must be dried thoroughly before it is assembled.

Step 4: Insert the cleaned exhaust air filter into the exhaust compartment and press down the lid to close it (“click” sound).

Cleaning the rest of the device

  • First, remove hair and fluff from the nozzles and brushes.
  • Wipe the motor unit, the extension tube and the nozzles with a damp cloth if necessary. Then dry them thoroughly.

Cleaning the Floor Nozzle

To make it easier to clean, the brush can be removed from the brush head:

Step 1 : Turn the brush head upside down.

Step 2: On the right side there is a slider next to the small wheel. Slide it outwards.

Step 3: Grab the brush on same side and pull it out for easier removal of any dirt or hair.

Step 4: Reposition the brush. When you do this, insert the end with the star-shaped recess first. Then press the other end into the holder until it engages.

Step 5 : Slide back the slider.

Storage

  • Store the device and accessories in a cool, dry place, which is protected from direct sunlight and is out of the reach of children and animals.

NOTE: To prevent a deep discharge of the battery, charge it up every 3 months if it is not used for a prolonged period.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Should you have any problem with your device, follow this simple checklist before calling your nearest dealer:

The filters are not fitted correctly.| Reposition the filters.
The filters are dirty.| Clean the filters.
The filters are worn or damaged.| Replace the filters.
The charge indicating lights do not flash when the device is connected to the power supply| The charger is not inserted in the power supply or device socket correctly.| Reconnect the charger.
Unusual odor.| The device is being used for the first time or has been left uncleaned for prolonged time.| An initial odor is normal when the device is used for the first time; it disappears after a while.
