SCHLAGE AD-200 Offline Commercial Keypad Lock

Installation Instructions

1. Prepare door.
   IMPORTANT! See template. Additional door preparation may be required.

2. Identify model of lock.
   AD-200 Printed on box label. Choose steps to perform by models listed in corner.

3. Install door position switch (DPS).
   Ensure alignment on door and jamb.

4. Route RS-485 cable and power wires.

5. If not using batteries (standard option), route power wires.

6. When retrofitting, install RX switch. Install in existing 98/99 exit device.

7. Install sex bolts to secure device.

8. Install grommet.

9. Route RX wires.

10. Install device per manufacturer instructions.
    For proper function, cam must be in down position.

11. Install spindle into assembly

12. Install reader.

13. Check lever handing.

14. Install cylinder and lever.
    Verify tailpiece is horizontal.
    Keyed Lever

15. Install outside assembly.

16. Install inside assembly.

17. Connect white DPS wires.

18. Connect ribbon cable.

19. If RX, insert plug.

20. Install RS-485 communication module.
    Install lower cover.

21. Install wireless communication module.

22. Apply power, AD-200/250/400 only. Optional Torx® security screws are included.
    Hardwired option: See user guide for wiring details.

23. Carefully remove insulator strip from battery.

24. Install cover and screws.

25. Set up lock. After installing the lock, see the user guide for setup and operation.

Changing the cylinder’s tailpiece

Rehanding

1. Remove USB plug.

2. Remove cover from baseplate.
   NOTE : on keypad only applications, reader is not removable!

3. Remove spring cage.

4. Move lever stop to opposite side − Align arrow with latch.

5. Reinstall springcage.
   IMPORTANT: Verify that the correct size screw is used.

6. Reassemble cover, baseplate, and mounting plate.
   IMPORTANT : Do not pinch the ribbon cable during reassembly.
