Product Overview
Introduction
The SM27W2 wireless remote speaker microphone is an audio accessory that
allows you to connect to Hytera’s portable and mobile radios through wireless
technology. After connecting to the radio, you can use the product to transmit
or receive a voice call without holding the radio. The product is suitable for
sectors such as public safety, transportation, and industry and commerce.

The product provides three programmable keys, including the TK, P1, and P2

Before Use Charging the Battery
NOTE
If not using the product for a long time, charge it at least once within
three months.
When the battery power is low, charge it in time. To charge the battery, connect the product to the USB port on the power adapter, mobile power supply, or PC with the data cable. After charging, keep the USB interface covered.

To manually turn off the product, long press the Multifunction key for three seconds.

The product automatically turns off in the following situations:

The distance between the product
and the radio is beyond the effective communication distance for 10 minutes. -
The product is not connected to the radio within 10 minutes after being turned on.

Pairing
You can select fast pairing or manual pairing. For time-saving and easy
operation, fast pairing is recommended. After being paired with the radio, the
product will automatically reconnect to the radio when you turn on the product
next time.
Fast Pairing
NOTE
To use fast pairing, the radio must also support this feature. Otherwise, you
can only manually pair the product with the radio.
- Turn on the product and the radio.
- Keep the front of the product close to the radio for pairing.
When the LED indicator slowly flashes blue (twice for each time) and a beep sounds, the product has connected to the radio.
Manual Pairing
- In shutdown mode, long press the Multifunction key for five seconds to switch the product into pairing mode. The LED indicator flashes red and blue alternatively.
- Switch the radio into pairing mode.

Fixing the Product
For the Product with a Belt Clip
You can wear the product to epaulettes, jacket pockets, belts, and other
proper positions.
For the Product with a Buckle
- Fix the hanger to a proper position with two ST4.0 x 16.0 mm screws.
- Insert the buckle of the product into the hanger, as shown in the following figure.
Basic Features
Adjusting the Volume
With the product turned on and connected to the radio, press the Left key to
decrease the volume, or press the Right key to increase the volume.
Transmitting
- Press and hold the PTT key to speak into the microphone.
- When you finish speaking, release the PTT key.
Answering/Declining/Ending a Call

Answering a call: When you need to manually answer a call, press the PTT key.

Declining a call: When you want to decline a call that need to be manually answered, do as follows:
- a. Press the Multifunction key to enter silent mode.
- b. Press again the Multifunction key to decline the call.
The silent mode is canceled at the same time.

Ending a call: press the Multifunction key.
Playing/Pausing the Music
In the music play status, press the Multifunction key to play or pause the
music.
Switching to the Previous/Next Song
In the music play status, long press the Left key to switch to the previous
song, or long press the Right key to switch to the next song.
Checking the Software Version
- In shutdown mode, long press the Left, P1, and Multifunction keys at the same time for three seconds.
- On the radio, search for the product in pairing information. You can see the software version contained in the name used for pairing.
- To exit the checking mode, turn off the product.
CAUTION
When you search for the software version of the product on the radio, the
product cannot be connected to the radio.

Care and Cleaning
To guarantee optimum performance as well as a long service life of the
product, please follow the tips below.
Product Care
- Do not pierce or scrape the product.
- Keep the product away from substances that can corrode the circuitry.
Product Cleaning
CAUTION

Before cleaning, remove all cables first.

Make sure the product is completely dry before use.

Clean up the dust and fine particles on the product surface and USB interface with a clean and dry lint-free cloth or a brush regularly.

Use neutral cleanser and a non-woven fabric to clean the keys and shell. Do not use chemical preparations such as stain removers, alcohol, sprays, or oil preparations, so as to avoid the surface and shell damage.

Use the accessories approved only by Hytera. Otherwise, we will not be liable
for any loss or damage arising out of the use of unauthorized accessories.
Contact your local dealer or Hytera for the optional accessory of the product.
