Please note. To avoid over-torquing, ensure the ReadStar TT has the correct torque range for the tool before beginning.
Switching On
Turn on your ReadStar TT by pressing the on/off button situated below the arrow keys. Pressing this button whilst the ReadStar is on will turn it off.
Starting the ReadStar TT
The first screens you will see are the splash screen which then changes to show the ReadStar’s serial number and calibration due date. The software version and keyboard version are also both indicated by TM and KB respectively.
Measurement Screen
The last measurement mode used (Peak, Click, Track or Pulse) will be automatically selected first. This can be changed by pressing the ‘Measurement Mode’ function key. Toggle the measurement modes by pressing the function key until you get to the mode you require, then you are ready to start measuring torque with the ReadStar TT.

The following is a guide to the fixed-function key icons that appear on the ReadStar TT model

Measurement Modes
The default measurement mode will be Peak. A second press will take you to Track, a third press will take you to Click, and a fourth press will take you to Pulse (shown as icon in secondary parameter position). -
Delete
This function key allows you to delete the last reading or all readings taken. One press will delete the last reading and two presses will delete all readings. -
Reading List
Pressing this function key will show you the measurement readings currently held on the ReadStar TT. Using the up and down arrow keys you can scroll through the readings taken. -
Statistics
This function key will display the following statistics from the current readings taken: count, range, mean, min, max, standard deviation (sigma) and 6 sigma. -
Settings
The settings function key allows you to toggle through the various screen settings. For more information or for assistance with the settings, please refer to the operators manual.
