SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Before connecting the convector to the power supply network, be sure to visually check the power cord and the convector for mechanical damage. If there are damages, contact an authorized service center for repair. Before repairing damage, it is not allowed to connect the convector to the power supply network. Disconnect the connector from the power supply network during its maintenance, wet cleaning of the room near the convector installed on the floor. Disconnect the electric convector from the power supply network by holding the plug of the power cord. Do not allow moisture inside the convector with the usual design of the shell. Convectors with a splash-proof design shell should be installed so that the controls are not accessible to persons taking a bath, being in the shower, or in the pool.
Do not allow paper or foreign objects inside the convector.
Do not use the convector for other purposes (the convector is not intended for outdoor use).
Do not operate the convector with a damaged power cord. Make sure that the power cord does not touch sharp corners and heated surfaces of the convector.
WARNING! If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service center, or similarly qualified personnel in order to avoid danger. This device can be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with physical or sensory or mental disabilities or with insufficient experience and knowledge if they are under constant supervision or instructed in the safe use of the device and they understand the possible dangers. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product. Cleaning and customer service should not be performed by children without supervision.
Children under 3 years old should not be close to the appliance, except when they are under constant supervision. In addition, children should be provided with appropriate supervision or instructions for the safe use of the appliance, and they should be aware of the risks that may arise when using the appliance. Children aged 3 to 8 years should not connect the appliance to the power supply network (power outlet), adjust and clean the appliance, or perform maintenance.
ATTENTION! Parts of this product may be very hot and cause burns.
Particular attention should be paid to where children and vulnerable persons are.
WARNING! To prevent overheating, do not cover the convector!
WARNING! Before installing and operating this product, please read this «User Manual» (hereinafter referred to as «the manual») carefully.
Due to the continuous improvement of the product, there can be made changes in the design of the product that are not reflected in this manual without reducing its consumer properties.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

This manual applies to the CH-1500ECW and CH-2000ECW electric convectors, 29.7-14307771-009:2006 technical standards of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as “convectors”). Convectors are designed for primary and secondary heating of buildings in domestic and similar conditions. Convectors are equipped with protection against overheating and turnover, as well as with electronic thermostats with LCD display (hereinafter referred to as «the display») for installing and maintaining the desired temperature in the room and providing the following operating modes:
COMFORT – you can choose the desired temperature;
ECO – the temperature is maintained at least 1˚C lower than the COMFORT temperature (by default lower by 3˚C);
Anti-freezing – the temperature is maintained at about 7˚C, you cannot change the temperature in this mode;
TIMER – provides convector operation with a change of COMFORT and ECO modes according to the program set for each day of the week.
Convectors are designed for round-the-clock operation without supervision.
When buying a convector, require a check of its operability, compliance of the delivery set with the  “Package contents” section of this manual, and the absence of mechanical damage. Check the availability of the warranty card, and the completeness, and correctness of its filling.
The convector model should comply with the data indicated in the warranty card. The warranty card is valid only if there is correctly and legibly specified sales data and clear seals of the seller.
After filling out the warranty card, it is not allowed to make any amendments, additions, delete or rewrite the data added by the seller.
Keep the cashier’s check, this manual, warranty card, and packaging during the warranty period of the convector.
Lost documentation attached to the convector upon sale is not restored.
Remember, if you fail to comply with the above recommendations or if there is mechanical damage to the convector, you lose the right to warranty service.

IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO:

  • Place the heater directly under the outlet.
  • Partially or completely cover, clog holes in the intake and exhaust grids.
  • Place flammable substances and objects near the convector.
  • Use convectors in the immediate vicinity of the bathtub, shower, or swimming pool.
  • Touch the plug of the power cord and the convector with wet hands.

PREPARATIONS FOR WORK

5.1 Unpack the convector. Keep the packaging for future use if you need to remove the convector for long-term storage.
After storing or transporting the convector at a low temperature (in case of dew), it should be kept at room temperature for at least 2 hours before turning on.
5.2 Check that your power supply complies with the technical data of the convector described in section 2 of this manual: power supply voltage; the ability of protective devices, electrical wiring, and socket for connecting the convector to withstand the current consumed by the convector. If necessary, consult your dealer or an authorized representative of an authorized service center.
5.3 Choose the place where the convector will be operated. Do not install the convector in a draft, under the openings of the forced ventilation system, in an area of direct sunlight.
5.4 For stationary installation of the convector, mark the mounting holes on the wall, referring to Figure 1 and Table 2. Fix the brackets for installing the convector in any way possible, ensuring their reliable fastening during the entire life of the convector.

5.5 The convector may be installed in rooms with high humidity – bathrooms, showers, and pools (Fig. 4). It is prohibited to install the convector.

  • in area 1 of bathrooms, showers;
  • in area 2, if the person is in a bath or under a shower, can reach the controls of the convector or the power cord.
    Outlets for connecting convectors should be installed at a distance of at least 25 cm from the floor outside area 2.

5.7 The placement of the convector on supports in the room is similar (Fig. 2), while the distance from the rear wall of the convector to objects (furniture, curtains, etc.) should be at least 15 cm.
Warning! It is strictly prohibited to turn on and operate the convector without fixing it to the brackets on the wall or on the floor without the installed supports.
Turning on and operating the convector is allowed only in the position indicated in Fig. 1 (intake grid down). When you turn on the convector for the first time, the smell of evaporation of preservation materials is possible. It is recommended to ventilate the room.
5.8 Plug the power cord of the convector into a power outlet. The display on the control panel will light up (Fig. 6), and the current time will be displayed. The convector is ready for operation.ARDESTO CH 2000ECW Electric

OPERATION

6.1 Turning the convector on and off.
To turn on the convector, press the MENU button. The control panel displays the last used operating mode with settings. To turn off the convector, press and hold the MENU button until the convector is turned off, only the current time will be displayed.
Warning! In 40 seconds after the last press of the control buttons, the brightness of the display backlight is reduced in order to save energy. In the future, the first time you press the control buttons, the full brightness of the display backlight is restored, and the second time you press, the setting parameter changes.
6.2 Selecting the convector operating mode and setting the mode parameters.
The choke of the operating mode is made by successive short-term pressing of the ► button. The active mode indicator moves sequentially under the icons of thermostat operating modes with the settings of the selected mode displayed on the display.
6.2.1 Temperature control in COMFORT mode.
This mode provides maintains a comfortable (desired) temperature in the room.

  • Press the button ► several times until the active mode indicator is set below the icons. The display will blink to indicate the set control temperature. Press the or button while the temperature display is flashing to increase or decrease the control temperature. the adjustment temperature range is from 8 to 30*C with an increment of 0.5º C.
  • If no buttons are pressed within 10 seconds, the set control temperature will be automatically saved, the blinking indication will stop, and the set room control temperature will be displayed. To reactivate the control temperature setting mode, press the or button.
  • If the set control temperature is higher than the room temperature, the heating indicator will light up and the convector will start heating the room. If the set control temperature is lower than the room temperature, the heating indicator will turn off, the heating will stop until the room temperature drops below the set temperature, and then the convector starts heating the room again.

6.2.2 Temperature control in ECO mode.
This mode ensures that the temperature is kept below the value set for the comfort mode; it is recommended to set it at night or if you are not in the room for more than 2 hours.

  • Press the ► button several times until the active mode indicator is set below the icon. The display will blink to indicate the set control temperature. Press the or button while the temperature display is flashing to increase or decrease the control temperature. The adjustable temperature range is from 7º C to the temperature of COMFORT mode minus 1ºC.
  • If you adjust the control temperature in COMFORT mode below the setting in ECO mode, the control temperature setting in ECO mode will automatically decrease by 1º C lower in relation to the new COMFORT mode setting.

6.2.3 Turning on the freezing protection.
This mode allows you to maintain a temperature of about 7°C in the room to prevent freezing, it is used if you are not in the room for a long time (usually more than 24 hours).

  • Press the button several times until the active mode indicator is set below the icon. The display will show the control temperature of 7°C. You cannot change the temperature settings in this mode.

6.2.4 TIMER mode.
This mode provides automatic COMFORT and ECO modes according to the program set for a week. A separate temperature program can be set for each day of the week. The mode change increment is one hour.
To ensure the operation of the convector in TIMER mode, you should first set the time, date, and programs for the days of the week in the user menu described below.

  • After setting the time, date, and programs in the user menu, press the button several times until the active mode indicator is set below the icon. The display will show the set control temperature and the program scale for the current day.

6.2.5 User menu.
The user menu is used to configure the convector operation according to the program in TIMER mode and to activate additional functions.
To enter the user menu, press the MENU button. After 10 seconds without pressing the buttons, or when you press the MENU button for the fifth time, the convector will switch to the current temperature control mode with the display of the mode parameters.
6.2.5.1 Open-window function .
If a sharp drop in temperature is detected, for example, during ventilation, the room heating mode is terminated to save energy. The heating mode resumes automatically when the room stops cooling, or if the user presses any button.

  • By default, the open-window function is disabled – OFF on the display.
  • By pressing the or button while the display is flashing, you can activate the function – ON on the display. After 10 seconds without pressing the buttons, or when you press the MENU button, the selected mode is remembered. In the same way, you can turn off this function again.

6.2.5.2 Setting the time and day of the week.

  • To set the time and day of the week, press the MENU button several times until a mnemonic sign , is selected, and the hour’s display will blink. Press the or  button while the hour’s display is flashing, and set the hours.
  • Press the , button, and the minute’s display will blink. Press the or button while the display is flashing, and set the minutes.
  • Press the button again, and the day of the week display will blink. By pressing the or button while flashing the display, set the day of the week: Monday – 1, Tuesday – 2,…Sunday – 7. After 10 seconds without pressing the buttons, or when the MENU button is pressed, the blinking stops, and the time and date settings are remembered.

6.2.5.3 Programming the weekly timer.
Before programming, the timer, set the date and time as described in section 6.2.5.2.
There are five preset programs with typical schedules for changing COMFORT and ECO modes during the day (Pr6…Pr8). By default, the Pr1 program is assigned for all days of the week.
Preset programs are shown in Table 3.
Pr1 – recommended for a permanent presence in the room;
Pr2 – recommended in the absence during the working day;
Pre-record programs:
Pr1 is recommended for a constant presence
Pr2 is recommended for absence in the day
Pr3 is recommended for absence in the day and if you return home for lunchtime
Pr4 permanent Comfort
Pr5 permanent Economy
The initial view of the programs P6, P7, and P8 is the permanent ECONOMY mode..

By default, Pr6… Pr8 programs are the same as Pr5 – ECO mode is constantly on.
The user can correct these programs at his/her discretion, assigning from one to three COMFORT periods during the day.

  • Press the MENU button several times until a mnemonic sign is selected. The display will show the day of the week, in blinking mode the number of the selected program, and the timeline corresponding to the program. Press the button to select the day of the week. By pressing the or button while the display is flashing, you can set the program for the selected day.
  • To select the next day of the week, press the button again. Repeat the operation to select a program number for each day of the week. After 10 seconds without pressing the buttons, the flashing stops, and the timer program is remembered.
  • To create a program that differs from the preset programs, you should select any program from Pr6…Pr8.

Consider the example of compiling a daily Pr6 program for the third day of the week with three COMFORT periods:

  • the first period from 4 to 7 p.m.;
  • the second period from 11 to 12 а.m.;
  • the third period from 18 to 22 p.m.

Follow these steps:

  • Press the ON-OFF/MENU button several times until the programming icon appears.
  • Press the , button to select a day, and press the or , button to select the Pr6 program.

03 – day of the week, Pr6 program -ECO mode is constantly on

Press and hold the ON-OFF/MENU button, press the button, and the program enters the setting mode. Upon entering the program settings mode, a “pencil” and the number of the program to be configured should be displayed, as shown in the figure below.ARDESTO CH 2000ECW Electric Convector - Figure

  • Use the or buttons to change the hour value of the start of the COMFORT mode. Set the beginning of the first period to 4 hours.

  • Press the button to confirm the selected value at the beginning of the COMFORT mode. The program switches to the mode for selecting the hour of the end of the  COMFORT mode.

  • Use the or button to change the end time of COMFORT mode. Set the end of the first period to 7 p.m.
    On the scale of the daily program, sectors of the first COMFORT period are displayed. The program switches to the time selection mode, from which the second period of COMFORT mode begins.
    The display shows the start time for setting the second COMFORT period (2b:07).

  • Use the or buttons to change the start time of the second COMFORT period. Set the beginning of the second period to 11 a.m.

  • Press the button to confirm the selected value at the beginning of the second COMFORT period. The program switches to the mode for selecting the end time of the second COMFORT period.

  • Use the or buttons to change the end time of the second COMFORT period. Set the end of the second period to 12 a.m.
    The sector of the second COMFORT period is displayed on the daily program scale.

  • Press the button to confirm the selected value for the end of the second COMFORT period.
    The program switches to the time selection mode from which the third COMFORT period begins.
    The display shows the start time for setting the third COMFORT period (3b:12).

  • Use the or buttons to change the start time of the third COMFORT period. Set the beginning of the third period to 18 p.m.

  • Press the button to confirm the selected value for the start time of the third COMFORT period.
    The program switches to the mode for selecting the end time of the third COMFORT period.

  • Use the or buttons to change the end time of the third COMFORT period. Set the end of the third period to 22 p.m.
    On the scale of the daily program, sectors of the third COMFORT period are displayed.

  • Press the , button to confirm the selected value at the end of the third COMFORT period. If one or two periods are set in the daily program, in the remaining periods only the conditional start and end are confirmed by pressing the button.
    After confirming the end of the third period, the program exits the adjustment mode to the main user menu, the configured program is displayed. You can apply the customized Pr6 program to any day of the week.
    In the same way, you can configure two more independent daily programs Pr7, and Pr8.

6.2.5.4 Calibration of temperature measurement.
This setting is used to compensate for differences in the value of the room temperature and the temperature measured by the built-in convector sensor.

  • Press the menu button several times until a mnemonic sign appears on the display. The display will show t OFFSET and, in flashing mode, the current offset value (0˚C by default). By pressing the or button while the display is flashing, you can change the offset in the range from -3˚ C to +3˚ C. Exiting the calibration mode with saving the new offset value occurs automatically after 10 seconds without pressing the buttons.

6.2.5.5 Control lock function.
The key lock function is designed to prevent accidental taps or children from changing the convector settings.

  •  Press the or button simultaneously and hold them until the lock icon appears on the display. The control functions are blocked. To deactivate the function, press the or button simultaneously until the lock indicator goes out.

6.3 Turning off the convector.
Press and hold the MENU button until the convector is turned off, only the current time will be displayed.
Unplug the convector power cord from the electrical outlet.
6.4 Dismantling the convector.
Disconnect the connector from the power supply network in accordance with section 6.3 of this manual. Pull the convector up until the lower hooks of the brackets exit from the holes of the air intake grid of the convector, then pull the convector down and remove it from the upper hooks of the brackets.
6.5 Some recommendations when choosing models of convectors and their operation.
The choice of the rated power of convectors when they are used as the main source of heating should be made based on the calculation of 100W per 1m² of area (for rooms with normal thermal insulation and a wall height of not more than 3 m). In other cases, the choice of convector power should be carried out by a qualified specialist with a calculation of the actual heat loss of a particular room.
To reduce energy costs, use weekly programming of the operating modes of the appliance.

MAINTENANCE

At least once a month, clean the convector grids from dust with a brush and a vacuum cleaner. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or aggressive materials that can damage the convector coating. When the convector is operated in a heavily polluted atmosphere, sports may appear on the intake (exhaust) grid. Such surface contamination is not covered by the warranty, and their appearance is not a reason for replacing the convector.

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

8.1 Convectors in the manufacturer’s packaging can be transported by all types of covered vehicles, which ensure their protection against atmospheric precipitation and mechanical damage, in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in force on this type of transport. Transportation is allowed at temperatures from 50 °C to -50 °C and relative humidity not more than 80 %, in accordance with the handling signs on the package, and with the exception of shock and movement inside the vehicle.
8.2 Convectors should be stored in the manufacturer’s packaging in dry, heated rooms at temperatures from 5 °C to 40 °C and with relative humidity not exceeding 80 %. Storage of convectors in rooms together with liquids and substances, the evaporation of which can cause corrosion of structural elements is not allowed.

DISPOSAL

The product does not contain materials requiring special disposal technologies. The product does not contain precious metals. Upon decommissioning, the product should be disassembled, followed by sorting the scrap into non-ferrous, ferrous metals, and non-metals, and their disposal in accordance with the norms, rules, and methods applicable at the disposal sites.

COMPLIANCE WITH TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

The products comply with the requirements of the Technical regulation on the electromagnetic compatibility of equipment (approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 16, 2015 No. 1077), the Technical safety regulation of low-voltage electrical equipment (approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 16, 2015 No. 1067). Technical Regulations for Restricting the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 10, 2017 No. 139).
Warranty conditions: The plant guarantees the normal operation of the product within 12 months from the date of the sale, provided that the consumer complies with the rules of operation and care provided by this Manual. The service life of the product is 5 years.
In order to avoid any misunderstanding we kindly ask you to carefully study the Owner’s Manual, and the terms of warranty, and check the correctness of filling out the Warranty Card. The Warranty Card is valid only if the following information is correctly and clearly stated: model, serial number of the product, date of sale, clear seals of the company-seller, and signature of the buyer. The model and a serial number of the product must correspond to those specified in the Warranty Card.
If these terms are violated, and if the information specified in the Warranty Card is changed, erased, or rewritten, the Warranty Card is considered invalid. Setup and installation (assembly, connection, etc.) of the appliance are described in the attached documentation; they can be carried out both by the user and by specialists having the necessary qualification sent by USC or selling companies (on a paid basis).
In this case, the person (the institution) installing the appliance shall be responsible for the correctness and quality of installation (setup). Please pay attention to the importance of the correct installation of the appliance, both for its reliable operation and for obtaining a warranty and free service. Require the installation specialist to enter all the necessary information about the installation in the Warranty Card. In case of failure of the appliance during the warranty period by the fault of the manufacturer, the owner is entitled to free warranty repair upon presentation of the correctly filled Warranty Card together with the appliance in the factory configuration packed in the original packaging to the warranty workshop or the place of its purchase. Satisfaction of the customer’s claim due to the fault of the manufacturer shall be made in accordance with the law «On Protection of Consumers’ Rights». In the case of warranty repair, the warranty period shall be extended for the period of repair and shipment.
WARRANTY CARD
Dear Buyer! Congratulations on your purchase of the ARDESTO brand appliance, which was designed and manufactured in accordance with the highest quality standards, and we thank you for choosing this particular instrument.
We ask you to keep the coupon during the warranty period. When purchasing a product, require a full warranty card.

  1. Warranty service is carried out only if there is a correctly and clearly filled original warranty card, which indicates: the product model, date of sale, serial number, warranty service period, and the seller’s seal. *

  2. The service life of household appliances is 5 years.

  3. The product is intended for consumer use. When using the product in commercial activities, the seller/manufacturer does not bear warranty obligations, after-sales service is performed on a paid basis.

  4. Warranty repair is carried out within the period specified in the warranty card for the product in an authorized service center on the conditions and terms determined by applicable law.

  5. The product is withdrawn from the warranty in case of violation by the consumer of the operating rules set forth in the instruction manual.

  6. The product is removed from warranty service in the following cases:
    • misuse and non-consumer use;
    • mechanical damage;
    • damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects, substances, liquids, and insects;
    • damage caused by natural disasters (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), fire, domestic factors (excessive humidity, dust, aggressive environment, etc.)
    • damage caused by non-compliance of power and cable network parameters with state standards and other similar factors;
    • when operating equipment in the power supply network with a missing single ground loop;
    • in case of violation of seals installed on the product;
    • lack of a serial number of the device, or inability to identify it.

  7. The warranty does not cover consumables and accessories, as well as filters, shelves, drawers, stands, and other containers for storing products.

  8. The warranty period is 12 months from the date of sale.

  • Tear-off maintenance tickets are provided by an authorized service center.

The completeness of the product is checked. I have read the terms of the warranty service, no complaints.
