1. How to connect the range extender with the bike system?
- Turn off the bike. - Connect the Y-cable with the range extender. - Mount the range extender to the bike. - Plug the other end of the Y-cable into the charging port on the bike. - Push the power-on button at the display and start the bike system. The bike system can now be used as a double battery system.
2. How to remove the range extender?
- Turn off the bike. - Disconnect the Y-cable from the charging port on the bike. - Remove the range extender together with the Y-cable from the bike. The bike system can now be used in normal mode (single battery system). Please note: The Y-cable must be connected to the range extender first. Then it can be mounted to the charging port. Please do not disconnect the range extender from the Y-cable if it is connected to the charging port on the bike. Please also do not disconnect the range extender Y-cable if the bike system is switched on. The bike system will detect if connection with the range extender is lost, at any moment in time, while the Y-cable is connected to the charging port on the bike. For safety reasons, the bike system will in this case automatically shut down and/or give an error code on the display.
3. What to do in case of a safety shut down?
- Turn off the bike. - Follow steps to remove the range extender. - Push the power-on button at the display and start the bike system. This will reset the system.
4. LED indications on the display and recommended actions
- If pressing the power button and the LED display won´t turn on, the internal protection circuit might be active. To release the protection circuit, please charge the battery by connecting the original charger. - If the LED starts flashing as indicated in the below table, either during charging of the battery both assembled on the bike or separately, or if the battery power button is pressed, please observe the recommend actions to release the protection functions or conduct some necessary check actions accordingly.
