SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- The product is intended for transporting children from one to five years old.
- The product is only intended for household use and is not suitable for commercial purposes.
- The product must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with these instructions. All other use is to be considered as incorrect and can result in the risk of personal injury and/or material damage.
- The product is not a toy.
RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
Do not allow children to play with the packaging material – risk of suffocation:
- Keep small parts out of the reach of children.
- Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children.
- Do not leave the product unattended during its assembly.
RISK OF SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY
- Never leave children unattended in the product.
- Check that the locks and catches have engaged before use.
- Keep children at a safe distance when the product is unfolded or folded up.
- Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the product.
- Always use the safety harness when transporting children.
- The product is not suitable for children less than 12 months old.
- This product is not suitable for jogging or skating.
RISK OF MATERIAL DAMAGE
- Do not put more than 2.2 kg in the pocket on the product.
- Do not use the product if any parts are damaged or deformed. Only use original spare parts.
- Check all screw connections and other connections at regular intervals, and tighten them if necessary. Loose connections can result in the risk of personal injury and/or material damage.
- Check the contents of the packaging.
- The product can be damaged if the packaging is opened carelessly with a knife or other sharp implement.
- Open the packaging carefully and unpack all the parts of the product. Check that all parts are included. Check all the parts for damage.
- Do not assemble and use the product if any parts are missing or damaged. Contact the retailer.

ASSEMBLY
IMPORTANT
- Incorrect fitting or removal of the bike trailer can result in a risk of personal injury.
- Be careful when fitting/removing and follow the instructions.
- Keep children at a safe distance when fitting or removing the bike trailer.
- Incorrect handling of the bike trailer can result in a risk of material damage.
- Fit the bike trailer according to the instructions and diagrams.
- Front, back, left and right etc. are indicated in the direction of travel.
SIDE AND BACK PANELS Fitting/removing springs
To fit and remove the bike trailer the pins and retaining clips (22) on the crossbar (25) and tow bar (18) must be put in or taken out.
- Removal of pin (top of diagram):
- Fold down the retaining clip.
- Pull the pin out of the hole.
- Insertion of pin (bottom of diagram):
- Put the pin in the hole.
- Lift the retaining clip over the end of the pin.
- Check that the retaining clip is firmly in place over the end of the pin. FIG. 3
Opening/closing the side panels
- Lay out the parts for the base unit, consisting of the base, right side panel (1), left side panel (2) and handle (5).
- Close the side panels.
- Follow the instructions in the reverse order to open the side panels.
Crossbar and back panel
- Lift the crossbar (25).
- Put the eyelets on the back panel (27) on the crossbar.
- Fit the right end of the crossbar in the fastener on the right side panel (1).
- Put in the pin (22) and secure with the retaining clip.
- Release the retaining clip on the pin and follow the instructions in the reverse order to remove the crossbar and the back panel.
HOOD
- Put the hood (12) over the top of the bike trailer.
- Place the hood over the fasteners (28) for the handle (5), so that they are easily accessible.
- Fasten the back, bottom edge of the hood with the Velcro fastener.
- Fasten the sides of the hood with the Velcro fasteners.
- Pull the hood forwards so that it covers the bike trailer.
- Follow the instructions in the reverse order to remove the hood.
HANDLE
- Put the ends of the handle (5) in the fasteners (28).
- Press down the handle until the catches click in place.
- To remove the handle, press in the catches and pull the handle out of the fasteners.
WHEELS
- Put the bike trailer on its side.
- Put the axle (10) for one of the wheels (11) in the axle bracket (4).
- Press down the wheel axle until the catch clicks in place.
- Turn the bike trailer over and fit the other wheel in the same way.
- To remove a wheel, press the catch (24) and pull the wheel off the axle bracket.
- Repeat for the other wheel.

FLAG
- Fit both parts of the flag stick (14) together.
- Put the flag stick in the fastener (17).
- Remove the flag by pulling the flag stick out of the fastener.
- Pull apart the two parts of the flag stick. FIG. 9
EXTENSION/WITHDRAWAL OF TOW BAR
- Put the bike trailer on its left side. Release the retaining clip for the pin (22) and pull the pin out of the hole.
- Release the safety strap (21) on the tow bar (18).
- Pull the tow bar forwards.
- Put in the pin and secure with the retaining clip.
- To withdraw the tow bar, release the retaining clip for the pin and pull the pin out of the hole.
- Push the tow bar under the bike trailer.
- Fasten the safety strap round the axle.
- Put in the pin and secure with the retaining clip.
COUPLING/UNCOUPLING Tow bar fastener on bike
- Undo the screw on the back wheel axle with a suitable tool (sold separately).
- Put the tow bar fastener (13) on the back wheel axle.
- Tighten the screw.

- Put the tow bar’s (18) aluminium sleeve on the tow bar fastener (13) on the bike.
- Put the pin (22) with retaining clip through the hole in the tow bar and fastener.
- Secure with the retaining clip.

Connection of safety strap
- Put the safety strap (21) round the seat stays.
- Hook the safety strap’s snap hook (20) into the D-ring (19) on the tow bar (18).
- Check that the bike trailer is safety connected to the back axle on the bike.
- Follow the instructions in the reverse order to disconnect the bike trailer.
PRAM WHEEL
- Push in the tow bar (18) before fitting the pram wheel (16).
- Put the pram wheel in the fastener (23). FIG. 15
- Tighten the screw with the finger grip (15) by turning it clockwise.
- Check that the pram wheel is firmly mounted in the fastener and that the screw with the finger grip is tightened by hand.
- Follow the instructions in the reverse order to remove the pram wheel.
- Remove the pram wheel before connecting the product to a bike.
USE
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Before connecting, check that the bike trailer suits the bike.
- See bike manufacturer’s instructions.
- Check that the bike is in good condition and that the brakes are working properly.
- Practice with a maximum weight in a non trafficked to get to know how the riding characteristics of the bike have changed.
BEFORE USING
- Do not use the bike trailer if any parts of the bike trailer and/or bike are missing, damaged or deformed.
- Allow qualified personnel to check and if necessary repair the bike trailer before using it.
- Always check the condition of the bike trailer before using it.
- Check the following points:
- The tow bar fastener (13) is firmly fitted.
- The safety strap (21) is connected.
- The safety harness (29) is in good condition and working properly.
- The brakes on the bike are working properly.
- The baggage is secured.
- The tyres have the correct pressure (indicated on the side of the tyre).
- All screw unions are properly tightened.
- The cyclist and children have bike helmets.
USE
Check the following points before use:
- The back wheel on the bike is suitable for towing.
- The tow bar fastener is not exposed to external strain.
- All the locks and catches have engaged.
WARNING!
- Risk of serious personal injury.
- Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can lead to the risk of serious personal injury and/or material damage.
- The maximum permissible weight of a child transported in the bike trailer is 21.6 kg. The maximum permissible weight of two children transported in the bike trailer is 43.2 kg.
- The bike trailer must not be used for children that are:
- Less than one year old.
- Cannot hold their head up when wearing a helmet.
- More than five years old.
- Longer than 59.5 cm in a sitting position.
- Never transport more than 2 children in the product.
- Children must always be strapped with safety harnesses in the bike trailer.
- Children must always wear a bike helmet when transported in the bike trailer.
- Make sure that there is at least 140 mm of free space over the head of the child.
- Never put a child car seat in the bike trailer.
- When the bike trailer is connected to the bike, never cycle faster than:
- 13 km/h on the straight.
- 5 km/h on curves.
- Only connect the bike trailer to bikes with 26 or 28 inch wheels, and which can support the weight of the bike trailer.
- Fit a mirror on the bike to supervise the transported children.
- When transporting, make sure that the children do not:
- Rock.
- Jump.
- Lean over.
- Stretch their bodies.
- Make sure that no parts of the children’s bodies, clothes, toys etc. come into contact with moving parts.
- Never leave children unattended.
- Make sure that children do not:
- Play with the bike trailer.
- Fit, extend/withdraw or remove any part of the bike trailer.
- The bike trailer is not suitable for jogging or skating.
- Do not use the bike trailer on slippery surfaces.
- Pay attention to the weather and risks such as:
- Cold wind at low temperature
- Overheating at high temperatures.
- Never modify the bike trailer in any way.
TOWING
Cyclist
- The cyclist doing the towing must be at least 18 years old and in good physical condition.
- Do not exceed the maximum permissible total weight for children and baggage (45.4 kg).
- Do not exceed the maximum permitted speed:
- 13 km/h on the straight.
- 5 km/h on curves.
- Remember that the bike trailer:
- Makes the bike much longer.
- Makes the turning radius much longer.
- Makes the bike much more difficult to control on slopes.
- Makes the braking distance much longer.
- Brake in good time.
- Cycle slowly on curves.
- Only use the bike trailer on smooth roads.
- Do not ride:
- Over kerbs
- Through deep potholes
- In terrain.
- Note that the hood (12) should always be closed when riding.
- Make sure that the reflectors at the front and back on the bike trailer are clearly visible and in good condition.
- Follow the applicable rules and regulations concerning lights and reflectors.
- The flag (14) should always be fitted on the bike trailer for better visibility in traffic.
Using as a pram
- Push in the tow bar (18) before using as a pram.
- Secure the tow bar under the bottom of the bike trailer.
- Always apply the brakes when the bike trailer is parked and when children are climbing in or out.
Transporting children
- Always check that the bike trailer is correctly connected to the bike and that the bike is safety parked before children climb in or out of the bike trailer.
- Make sure that the brakes are applied when children climb in and out.
- Open the hood (12) and allow the child or children to climb in.
- Always secure children with the safety harnesses (29) before transporting.
- Children must always wear a bike helmet when transported.

The safety harnesses are used in different ways to transport one or two children.
TRANSPORTING ONE CHILD
- Place the child in the middle of the bike trailer.
- Pull up the crotch strap (F) between the legs of the child.
- Put the locking piece (H) for the hip strap through the eyelet in the crotch strap and fasten the clip (D) on the hip strap.
- Put the locking piece (G) for the shoulder strap through the eyelet in the crotch strap and fasten the clip (E) on the shoulder strap.
- Check that the child is firmly and comfortably secured with the safety harness
- Close the hood (12)
- Follow the instructions in the reverse order to undo the safety harness. Open the clips by pressing the catches on the locking pieces.
TRANSPORTING TWO CHILDREN
To tighten two children, pull the hip straps and shoulder straps through the
eyelets in the crotch straps.
- 1. Place the children on the left and right sides of the bike trailer.
2. Pull up the crotch strap (C) between the legs of the child on the left.
3. Put the locking piece (B) for the hip strap through the eyelet in the crotch strap and fasten the clip (D) on the hip strap.
4. Put the locking piece (A) for the shoulder strap through the eyelet in the crotch strap and fasten the clip (E) on the shoulder strap.
5. Pull up the crotch strap (I) between the legs of the child on the right.
6. Put the locking piece (H) for the hip strap through the eyelet in the crotch strap and fasten the clip (L) on the hip strap.
7. Put the locking piece (G) for the shoulder strap through the eyelet in the crotch strap and fasten the clip (K) on the shoulder strap.
8. Check that the children are firmly and comfortably secured with the safety harnesses.
9. Close the hood (12).
10. Follow the instructions in the reverse order to undo the safety harnesses. Open the clips by pressing the catches on the locking pieces.
TRANSPORTING BAGGAGE
NOTE
Risk of material damage. Incorrect handling of the bike trailer can result in a risk of material damage.
- Open the hood (12) on the back.
- Put the baggage in the pocket (26).
- Close the hood.
USING THE BRAKE
The bike trailer has a brake to limit the forward movement when the trailer is used as a pram and to secure the trailer when parking and when children climb in and out.
- Press the brake handle (6) towards the handle (5) to apply the brake. FIG. 19
- Hook the brake handle clip (7) round the brake handle to lock the brake. FIG. 20
- Push the product forward to check that the brake stops it.
- Unhook the brake handle clip from the brake handle to release the brake.
NOTE
- Risk of personal injury. Incorrect use of the brake can result in the risk of personal injury.
- Check that the brake is properly locked when the bike trailer is parked.
- Check the tyre pressure.
- If necessary, pump up the tyres to the pressure indicated on the side of the tyre.
- Check the tension of the brake wire at regular intervals.
- Adjust the tension of the brake wire if necessary.
ADJUSTING THE BRAKE WIRES
- The tension of the brake wires changes when the brakes are used.
- Check the tension of the brake wire at regular intervals.
- Adjust the tension of the brake wire if necessary.
- Turn the lock nut (P) a quarter or half a turn clockwise.
- Screw in the left adjuster nut (9) to increase the tension of the brake wire.
- Pull on the brake wire a little to make it easier to turn the adjuster nut.
- Check that the brake wire is adequately tensioned.
- Repeat, if necessary.
- Tighten the lock nut anticlockwise.
- Repeat to adjust the right adjuster nut (3). FIG. 21
USING THE WRIST STRAP
- Always use the wrist strap when using the bike trailer as a pram.
- Put the wrist strap (8) round one wrist and hold the handle (5) with the same hand.
- Unhook the brake handle clip (7) and release the brake to move the bike trailer.
IMPORTANT
Risk of serious personal injury. There is a risk of serious personal injury if the bike trailer rolls away out of control.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
- Remove dirt with a cloth moistened with water and a mild detergent.
- Wipe dry with a dry, lint-free cloth.
NOTE
- Risk of material damage. Incorrect handling of the bike trailer can result in a risk of material damage.
- Do not use strong or corrosive detergents, hard brushes, sharp, abrasive or metal utensils to clean the bike trailer, they can damage the reflectors and other surfaces.
MAINTENANCE
- Check at regular intervals all the pins (22) and lock any retaining clips that have come loose. Loose pins can result in a risk of serious personal injury and/or material damage.
- Repair or replace damaged, missing or broken parts before use. Only use parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Only use the same type of tyres. Do not use BMX or terrain tyres.
- Treat the bike trailer hood and fabric parts every 6 months to make them rainproof.
STORAGE
- All parts should be clean and dry before putting them into storage.
- Store the bike trailer in a dry place.
- Protect the bike trailer from direct sunlight.
- Store the bike trailer at a temperature from 5 to 20°C, out of the reach of children.
