Charging Device


Connect the USB cable to a USB power adapter, then insert the USB Type-C™ plug into the speaker’s USB Type-C™ port (8). During the charging process, the LED indicator lights up red.
When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator turns off. The cable can now be disconnected from the HERCO speaker.

Switching on/off

  • Switching on: Long press on the power button {LED flashes).
  • Switching off: Long press on the power button {LED goes out).

Pairing

The Herco neck speaker must be paired with a Bluetooth® enabled device before it can be used for wireless music streaming.

Note: Please note that different cell phones also use different pairing methods.

  1.  Turn on the speaker by long pressing the power button. The pairing mode will be activated automatically, and the blue LED will blink rapidly.
  2.  Turn on the Bluetooth® function of your cell phone or other Bluetooth® devices, search for .. HERCO” in the list of found Bluetooth® device, and confirm the pairing. Enter .. 0000″ if you are asked for a code. After successful pairing, the blue LED will flash slowly.

Note: To reset the Bluetooth® connection, long press the ,,Play/Pause” button. The device will be put into pairing mode.
If you are not sure how pairing works on your Bluetooth® device, please refer to the user manual of the device.
When using a Bluetooth® device without a display, put it into pairing mode and wait a few seconds for the connection with the speaker to be established.

Music playback

Play music via Bluetooth®.
Start music playback on the Bluetooth® source paired with the HERCO. The music will be transmitted to the HERCO and output. Stop the music playback of the Bluetooth® source to interrupt the music streaming.
Note: The Bluetooth® source must support A2DP and AVRCP profile to play and control music through HERCO.

Playback from Micro SD card
Place a Micro SD card in the card slot (9). HERCO will automatically switch to TF mode and the music will be output.

Music control

  • To play or stop music, briefly press the Play/Pause button (2).
  • To play to previous title, press and hold the title back button (3)  twice in succession.
  • To skip to the next track, briefly press the track-forward key (1).

Hands-free function
Due to a built-in microphone, the neck speaker is suitable to be used as a hands­free speaker for telephone calls. Note: At high volume, feedback with the microphone may occur. This will cause echo on the phone side, not on the speakerphone side.

Accepting/ending/rejecting a call

  • To answer an incoming call, press the Play/Pause key (2).
  • To end an ongoing call, press the Play/Pause key (2).
  • To reject an incoming call, press and hold the Play/Pause key (2).

Volume setting
In addition to the volume control of the music source, the desired volume can be set by tapping the + or – key in quick succession.

Cleaning
Switch off the device before you start cleaning it. Clean the device with a slightly damp, soft cloth.
Note: Make sure that no liquid gets into the device. Do not pour liquids over the device or immerse it in water. Do not use harsh cleaning agents.

Safety instructions

  • Do not set the volume too high to use the speaker safely without time restrictions. Lower the volume enough so that others do not have to shout to hear you.

  • Do not immerse the device in water and protect ii from moisture.
  • Never connect cables by force.
  • Keep electrical devices away from children.
  • Unplug electronic equipment when not in use for an extended period of time.
