and following each chapter of this manual, in the order presented. Keep these
operating instructions for further reference.
Please read the enclosed “General safety instructions for power tools” and all
additional safety instructions in this operating instructions! This manual
contains important information on operating and handling the device. Keep
these operating instructions for further reference. Please pass it on along
with the unit if it is handed over to a third party.
Battery and charger not included!
The battery is available separately under art. No: 7062517 (2Ah) or 7062518
(4Ah). The charger is available separately under art. No: 7063630. These items
are available online and in participating stores.

Regulations”. With the CE marking, the manufacturer confirms that this
Electric tool complies with the applicable European directives.

Additional safety instructions
**** Please read this manual carefully and use the unit only according to this manual.
- Always keep all labels on the device clean and readable.
- Only use the device for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in this manual. The device is not designed for continuous, professional use.
- Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the device unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person. Keep the device out of reach of children.
- Never leave the device unsupervised when in use.
- Please observe the corresponding national regulations if you intend to use the device on streets, paths, property etc.
- Do not operate the device while third parties are in the danger zone.
- The device is intended to be operated on the tarmac and paved surfaces. Do not operate it on walls or ceiling.
- Ensure a safe distance to other per- sons or animals while working.
- Never place your hands or feet towards or under the rotating brush roller. Never grasp into the rotating brush roller. Keep your clothes away from the rotating brush roller. Do not wear any loose clothing (e. g. scarf) during work.
- During operation small stones or other objects may be thrown away violently. Wear solid shoes and long trousers when operating the device. Wear safety goggles.
- Hold the device firmly with both hands during operation.
- Only use the device in daylight or good artificial light. Never use it when the visibility is bad.
- Do not use the device close to garden ponds, swimming pools or other bodies of water. Do not expose the device to rain or excessive humidity.
- Please take care that the brush roller does not jam during operation. A long-term jam can damage the device. If the rotating brush roller is blocked by an obstacle, immediately release the ON/ OFF trigger, disconnect the power cord and free the brush roller.
- Remove the battery pack from the tool before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
- Before using the device, check for damages and do not use a damaged device. Should the device become damaged do not use it and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer support department? Do not disassemble the device or try repairing it yourself.
2.1 Residual risks
Even if you are operating this product in accordance with all the safety
requirement potential risks of injury and damage remain the following dangers
can arise in connection with the structure and design of this product:
- Health defects result from vibration emission if the product is being used over long periods of time or not adequately managed and properly maintained.
- Injuries and damage to property due to broken application tools or the sudden impact of hidden objects during use.
- The danger of injury and property damage caused by flying objects.
Before the first use
Remove the machine and all accessories from the package. Keep the packaging
materials out of the reach of small children. There is a danger of
suffocation!

Intended use
The machine has been designed for the removal of weeds from joints of pavement
and tiles. The machine removes weeds and moss.
- This machine is intended for outdoor private use.
- Compliance with the instructions for use is a prerequisite for the proper use of the machine. Instructions for use also contain operating, maintenance, and repair instructions. The user is liable for all damage as a result of improper use. The machine comes standard with 2 metal brushes. Do not use the metal brush on soft stone types or tiles with an imprint, the metal brush may damage it. Always test a small, inconspicuous part first to check whether or not the metal brush damages the material to be worked on.
Installation
6.1 Replacement of weed brush (See Fig. A + A1).

PLEASE NOTE: The metal brush is sharp!
**** Always wear proper work gloves when mounting and removing the metal
brush.
a. Press the shaft-locking button (10).
b. Remove the worn-out brush from the machine.
c. Place the new brush (9) on the shaft.
d. Secure the brush with the snap rings and wing nut and tighten them
securely.
e. Release the shaft-locking button.
Handling
7.1 Telescopic rod adjustment (See Fig. A).
The telescopic rod (7) can be adjusted in length to create a comfortable
working length.
a. Unscrew the locking button (8).
b. Slide the tube in or out until the desired length has been reached.
c. Tighten the locking button again.
d. Make sure the tube is properly fixed before you resume work.
7.2 Weed brush angle adjustment (See Fig. B, C).
The angle of the machine can be adjusted in order to obtain a comfortable
working angle.
a. Hold the machine firmly.
b. Press the locking button (12) in order to adjust the angle of the machine.
c. Adjust the angle of the machine to the desired position. The machine can be
adjusted into five different positions.
d. The guard cover (11) must be parallel to the ground for optimum protection
(see Fig. C).
e. Release the locking button and make sure the machine is properly locked.
7.3 Switching the machine on and off
a. Hold the machine firmly.
b. The machine is equipped with a safety switch (1).
c. To switch the machine on, slide the safety switch (1) forward and squeeze
the on/off switch (2).
d. To switch the machine off, release the on/off switch.
Use
Do not use the metal brush on soft stone types or tiles with an imprint,
the metal brush may damage it. Always test a small, inconspicuous part first
to check whether or not the metal brush damages the material to be worked on.
- Let the machine do the work. Do not force the machine.
- Hold the machine with both hands.
- Use the machine in a quiet, steady pace.
- Use the machine exclusively for dry weeds.
- Keep the machine away from plants.
- Tackle first the long joints and then the short ones.
Cleaning and maintenance
Remove the battery before undertaking any cleaning or maintenance work.
9.1 Cleaning
- Keep safety devices, ventilation openings, and the motor housing as free as possible from dirt and dust. Rub the electric power tool with a clean cloth or blow over it with low-pressure compressed air.
- We recommend that you clean your electric power tool immediately after each use
- Clean the electric power tool regularly with a damp cloth and somewhat soft soap. Do not use any cleaning or solvent materials; these can attack the device’s plastic components. Make sure that no water can get inside the electric power tool.
9.2 Maintenance
There are no inner parts of the tool which need maintenance.

10.1 Vibration level
The vibration emission level stated in this instruction manual has been
measured in accordance with a standardized test given in EN 60745; it may be
used to compare one tool with another and as a preliminary assessment of
exposure to vibration when using the tool for the applications mentioned

Disposal
Do not dispose of electric power tools with domestic refuse. The electric
power tool is shipped in packaging to reduce transport damages packaging is a
raw material and as such can either be reused or can be fed back into the raw
material cycle. The electric power tool and its accessories are made from
various materials such as meals and plastics. Take defective components to a
special refuse collection point. Ask about these at your specialist shop local
council.
12.1 Batteries
Think of the environment when disposing of batteries. Contact your local
authorities to find out where your nearest disposal area is. Do not dispose of
batteries with domestic refuse. Do not dispose of by burning, risk of
explosion.
