Intended use
This portable, battery-powered drain auger is intended for removing stubborn blockages in drains and pipes.
Setting the rotation direction
The machine is equipped with two operating elements, a forward/neutral/reverse
lever and a rotating direction switch.
To unblock a drain use the machine in clockwise rotation. To do so set the
rotating direction switch (3) so that the end left end marked with R is proud
of the machine.
When the machine is started with the trigger switch (4) the shaft (1) rotates,
seen from your side, clockwise. When you push the forward/neutral/reverse
lever (2) forward the flexible shaft is driven forward out of the machine. In
neutral position of the lever the shaft rotates but is not fed in any
direction and when the lever is pulled back the shaft is retracted into the
machine.
The reverse (counter clockwise) operation of the machine is used for freeing
up a blocked flexible shaft. To do so, set the rotating direction switch (3)
so that the right end marked with L is proud of the machine.
When the machine is started with the trigger switch (4) the shaft rotates,
seen from your side, counter clockwise. When you push the
forward/neutral/reverse lever (2) forward the flexible shaft is retracted back
into the machine.
In neutral position of the lever the shaft rotates but is not fed in any direction and when the lever is pulled back the shaft is driven forward out of the machine.
Further notes on unblocking a drain
