Features
- SMD technology, long-life, vibration-resistant
- High-quality gold-plated connector systems and large cable cross-sections
- High continuous current load capacity thanks to large-area cooling via the milled aluminum housing
- Low power dissipation due to «ideal» diodes simulated by FET.
- Safe battery connection through MPX M6 connector and safety clips
- Compact construction and elegant design
- Fail-safe: If the switch or its connection cable is defective, the electronics ensure that the switching state is ON
- I. e. Even if the switch vibrates down during flight, the power supply to the RC system is still ensured.
- Two receiver connection cables for double the wire cross-section and double the number of contacts with SAFETY-SWITCH PRO
- MPX M6 high-current connection with SAFETY-SWITCH PRO TwinBatt (M6) for direct connection to the MULTIPLEX receiver RX-9/12/16-DR pro
- M- LINK or other receivers established on the market with M6 input.
- Integrated battery switch in the SAFETY-SWITCH PROTwinBatt. The batteries are discharged simultaneously and evenly.
- If one battery fails, the second battery takes over the receiver power supply alone.
- It is also possible to connect a BEC of an ESC controller and a buffer battery. With this combination, make sure that the BEC voltage is higher than the voltage of the buffer battery. e.g .: The BEC voltage is 8v, then the backup battery is discharged down to 8v, from then on only the BEC will be discharged. If the BEC should collapse, the backup battery will be discharged again.
- Switch connection socket for free selection of your MPX switch. (Magnetic safety switch / Professional safety switch / Micro safety switch)
- LED status display on the housing
- Additional plug-in LED cable with a modern 3mm flat head LED to display the switching status.

Specification
The mentioned quiescent current flows in the OFF position of the connected safety switch. Therefore remove the receiver battery from the model when storing it for a long period of time SAFETY-SWITCH off! In this way, you prevent the receiver battery from becoming completely discharged.
Assembly and commissioning
-
Attach the SAFETY SWITCH PRO power supply to the model so that it is protected from vibrations and shocks.
-
Connect the UNI connection cable (RX) to the battery slot of your receiver. Connect the second UNI connection cable (RX) to any free servo slot or, if applicable, to the second battery slot of the receiver.
Note
When connecting the UNI connection cable (s) (RX), ensure that the plug-in direction is correct, especially when using third-party products Pay attention to compatible contact assignment.
SAFETY SWITCH PRO TwinBatt (M6): Connect the two-core connection cable (RX) to the M6 socket
and the M6 plug of the MULTIPLEX receiver RX- 9/12/16-DR pro M-LINK. -
When using the safety switch, place it anywhere in the model, as far as possible protected against accidental actuation. Connect the 4 – 6 cell NiXX or 2S LiXX battery pack (s) to the connection (s) of the SAFETY-SWITCH PRO marked with «BATT». Pay attention to correct polarity.
-
The enclosed LED cable can be installed in the model or led outside. To do this, a 3mm hole must be drilled, then you can fix the LED flush with the outer wall of the fuselage with a drop of Zacki from the inside.
Functionality
-
The switch cable is a safety-relevant component in the receiver power supply chain. Conventional switch cables with purely mechanical switches provide e.g. Due to aging phenomena (vibration, wear and tear, corrosion) on the switch contacts after a certain period of use, a safety risk due to failure. In addition, the demands on a switch cable increase due to the power requirements of modern high-performance servos. Many conventional, purely mechanical switch cables are not up to the task.
-
The receiver battery (s) is / are connected directly to the switch board of the SAFETY-SWITCH PRO. The connection to the
The receiver takes place via a direct short power supply without a mechanical switching element. The switching function is performed by vibration-proof, fail-safe high-performance FETs, which have a very low internal resistance compared to mechanical switches. In connection with high-quality gold contacts and large cable cross-sections, the servos can really develop their performance. -
As a switching element, you can choose the right one for you and your application from our three safety switches.
(# 1-01784 Magnetic safety switch / # 85196 Professional safety switch / # 85195 Micro safety switch)
The load current does not flow through the connected switch. The switch only gives the ON / OFF switching pulse. You can install the switch in any easily accessible location in the model.
